[Q] blue box white question mark - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have tried many different browsers and all the same. I get some images but many are the blue box with white question mark. PLEASE HELP
I rooted and using beanstown jb rom
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure that anyone is following you here. Maybe if you could explain the situation a little better you'd get a better response.
Are you saying that when you're in a browser, browsing the internet, that you're seeing a blue box with a white question mark pop up?
If so, that sounds like maybe some sort of broken or non-existent plug-in.

From my experience that used to happen to me when I was using chrome browser with no flash available.
Installed flash and use opera or dolphin browser.
Hope this helps or works

Sorry for poor explanation. When browing the internet many images show as a box with a question mark inside.

[Q] Help with some issues with SGS2?

I have now had my Samsung Galaxy S2 for a few days and I already have a small list of things that is starting to annoy me >_<
1:
In the stock browser there is no settings for mobile or desktop so that you can actually choose to have the desktop feel rather then a crap mobile site
2:
When you download something, then the downloads under browser has no progress bar and only lists "In Progress". It might just be me but I actually like having a progress bar so I can see how far along each download is, and how fast the download is going at.
More to come later, but is there a solution to those 2 issues ?. Because going to about:debug with the browser does very little on the Samsung compared with other phones
for 1)
about:useragent if memory serves well, might be a bit different, it's somewhere posted in a thread here (IIRC there's also a thread to change it permanentely)
sorry, no idea for #2, I only download using a FTP client....
It is not phone related problem.
Try Dolphin Browser from Market it won't dissapoint you !

I had the same issue on my past LG and tried Dolphin as a possible solution. 1: It didn't fix the issue. 2: And it causes other "issues" at least for making me go back to stock.
What really ticks me off is the need and requirement to actually go out and find other apps to make the phones works as they "should". Stock browser etc should be sufficient for at least a lot of users, but most of the manufacturers mess that bit up. HTC at least can have as stock browser that works like it is supposed to >_<

i can suggest to use skyfire like default browser, so u can hit all the 2 problem here.
Have nice day
Using skyfire is not really a solution, since I want to prefebly keep the stock browser.
Ermm, isn't download progress shown we you pull down the status bar?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Yes it is, but:
1: It only shows total progress of ALL files presently downloaded and also does not show the speed of which it is happening.
2: Clicking that progress bar basically shows you all the downloading files and shows "in Progress".
What I am looking for is individual progress bars, inside the browser. Ie so I can see the individual progress of each file and how fast its downloading when I am inside the browser.
As it is I have no issue with the overall progress bar in the notification bar, my issue is when you are looking at the "downloads" inside the browser. The LGO2x shows individual progress bars and speeds. Whereas the SGS2 does not.
And I happen to prefer the LG way in that regard.

[Q]Android Market 3.0 and newer not showing all results

Ok, so I updated to the new Market version 3.0 (and then today the newest one) and I did a search for mp3 music download (as an example) it shows 1056 results at the top but at most only shows me 7 results and when I drag the screen down to try and get the rest of the results nothing else pops up.
Now on the older version pre 3.0 I had no issue seeing all the results. This goes for anything I try to search for...and it's not phone specific as my husbands Droid X2 has the same issue not showing all the results for the same search I done.
Is anyone else having this issue...is there something I am missing because I've looked in settings...I don't know how to fix it. I would like the new market so I can +1 the apps that I have or will download..but I need to be able to pick and choose from a variety and not only 7 apps.
Please help...and thanks in advance.
If I posted this in the wrong thread..I apologize I didn't know where I should ask this question since Google is not giving me any results to my question
I've noticed this recently as well.
This seems to depend on what you search, "mp3 music download" gave me this error, "tap" di not, "mp2" and "mp4" did...
Yea i don't get errors but no matter what i search landscape or portrait its always 7 apps. Glad im not alone but its bugging me out.

Well i take that back just searched for tap and boom it auto refreshed at bottom of screen. I can live with not having mp3 results lol
But ball has almost 6000 results and i get at most fifty. Grr

Been noticing it too. At first I thought it was an issue with MIUI, which I'm running on an Incredible 2, but today I'm getting the same problem on a brand new, stock Moto Bionic. It's starting to piss me off. Searching for "Handcent SMS" said over 1,500 results, and showed me a grand total of 3 apps - two Handcent language add-ons (Chinese and Korean), and GO SMS. What the hell?
It's a bug that Google know about with the search function, isn't fixed yet.

[Q] Multitasking question

Hi all,
I'm coming from a Galaxy S and considering a S2, i'm pretty happy with everything apart from what i imagine is the low Ram.
On the S i find that if i open the browser, start using it, press the home screen, open something else, i sometimes go back and find the browser has to load again.
Wouldn't normally be an issue if i could get a fast reliable connection in London, does the S2 still have this issue or does the extra Ram solve this?
Thanks
Phil
I don't know about the gs1 as I never had one but gs2 has real multitasking (as long as u press home before going to the next app and not the 'back' button)
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
yes since the gs2 has 1gig of ram, it can keep more programmes open before androids built in task killer starts killing tasks, therefore you can be reading somthing, hit the home button, go into a few different apps, then go back into the web page and it will still be loaded.
Thanks all, not normally a problem but what i do sometimes in load a web page on the tube while i have a decent connection to read when the connection goes, do something else then come back and find its having to reload
Might give orange a call.

As an temporary solution u can try the app called "Read it later" from android market. I liked that app a lot as it makes a great way to read web pages later offline.
Link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.ideashower.readitlater.free
There is pro version too.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Do buy SGS2, i can have browser, a download, a game and gtalk running together (+background processes) and it wont lag at all.

Opera not optimized for the note?

I've been meaning to ask this a long long time ago but I always forget. So here it is:
I've been using opera for watching flash videos for a while now. I really like how it handled flash videos that is why I choose it. So I tried using it as my default browser and I noticed that the fonts are too small. I always had to pinch to zoom to make it bigger.
I went to the settings and change the font size to be large. It did not help.
I also tried the Single Column. At first I thought that it was the solution but nope .. it made things better but if you either scroll up to the top, or all the way to the bottom, you will notice that its still messed up.
Dolphin, and the default browser does not display this issue.
I really like to use opera as my main browser, maybe someone can help.
**BTW I've tried the mini and it displays the same thing**
I run opera with no problem now. I used to have that issue until latest update. It is fixed now. opera rocks by far the very best .

That was weird. I reinstalled Opera (full) and now its all different - it works. Even the Opera (mini) changed.
Thanks for the tip.
I too have used opera since s60 symbian and WM phone days. It has always been the best. Reinstalling Opera fixed same issues I was having like the OP. But it seems to load pages really slow. This is with Turbo is enabled.
I like Dolphin but hate how it was staying active in "what's using battery" screen in menu. TunnyBrowser (Dolphin) was staying at 73% even after reboot.
Back to Opera, I'm getting an error message every once in a while. "can't find gateway", this is with 4G LTE active.

Problems with plug ins

Dear all,
I'm from singapore and is running checkrom v5, still on ics, i do not want to flash the latest JB yet before the official is out but i do have some problems with the stock browser though, some of the websites that i go to is a missing image/video with a jigsaw+a question mark in the middle, i assume it should be the plug-ins, i did not have much problem with this at all before... and one more thing, whenever i book a movie ticket from stock browser, i can't seem to select the seats at all... when i click the seats to book, it did nothing, i was wondering is there anything i can do? I did install flash player 11.1 though...
