Rear housing and back cover - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Where is the best place to buy a replacement rear housing and possibly back cover that is compatible with the vzw LTE note 2 (sch-i605)? I have some cosmetic damage that I am trying to fix but I am concerned about compatibility, since there are antennas and apparently clip fittings involved.
I have the dark grey version, but all the housings I find for sch-i605 are white. If I get the white housing and a grey back cover, is the outside banding going to look different from my current one?
Thanks in advance.

Check eBay. There are TONS there. Just make sure that you're getting one that has the NFC antenna and contact points on it if you want/need that. I'm usually pretty leery of eBay, but surely with all of the thousands of these parts for sale there you can find a seller or two who aren't too shady.
Good luck!

[Q] Replacement bezel/housing? *FOUND!*

My front bezel/housing as a few minor nicks that are driving me crazy.. does anyone know a place to source a replacement bezel? I can find them for the I9100 all day long -- but nothing for the I777. I found a few places that sell the LCD/Digitizer/Bezel combo -- but that's a bit pricey for something I don't need, heh.

Had a dream last night my phone fell onto concrete and shattered everything to pieces. I fully blame reading your post as it was the last thing I read before going to bed.
As for what you're trying to find for replacing, parts are currently very hard to find. Hopefully more replacement parts will be made available as time goes on. I know I'm regularly looking because part of my business is smartphone repair.

Do you think it'll fit? Its stock black? How do you get it off anyway?
Why wouldn't it fit? It's an OEM piece. It should be the same color as stock, too. The only thing im not absolutely sure on is whether or not it will have the AT&T branding (I hope not!)
I'll post an update once it arrives and I install it.

looking forward to the pics. hoping there is no att brand on it also!
any update? pics? does it have ATT branding?
thanks!
Its just the outer bezel, there's no branding. The touch screen/glass is what has the branding.
For those interested:
The good news is, its definitely an OEM piece. The bad news is that there is no way to replace it without breaking the LCD. The amount of force required to separate the LCD from the adhesive holding it to the bezel is outstanding.
Yes, I broke my LCD. Kind of frustrating since I only had a couple nicks on the bezel originally. That was the straw that broke the camels back so I ordered a Galaxy Nexus instead.
Hope this information helps someone else...

Did you use a heat gun or anything? I've replaced two bezels for people and neither lcd broke. All it took was some heat and it peeled right out. Just like the nexus s.

Yes I have the same problem, I went online to buy the frame, they don't sell it. You have to buy the entire housing and it looks pretty complicated. I'm trying to return the phone and they wouldn't take it because of a scratch on the metal piece. Did you ever figure out how to fix the frame only? I dont even know how to take the phone it self out. Looks like the entire insides have to be transferred to the new housing. It sucks, should of never bought this dang phone. Thanks
Does anyone know how to do this without using the heat gun?
Sorry to bump an older thread, but i want to change the entire housing (including bezel) but using the same lcd screen on my s2, would heating the screen to remove it from the old housing ruin the screen? has anyone does this sort of thing before that can chime in? my bezel is cracked n scratched and is driving me nuts!
any help at all would be appreciated!
I have been seeing them going on Amazon for 15 bucks, I really don't know about the reliability of the seller but they are supposed to OEM off original phones.

Is there any way to replace the bezel\frame without replacing the screen?
do you have to re-apply the adhesive material?

How to remove Carrier branding?

Has anyone has luck removing the Carrier logo on the back battery cover?
I ran my finger over it and felt it was raised. It could easily be scratched off. Wondering what anyone else was using, didn't want to scrape the glossy back. I like the clean minimalistic look of phones. Figured it would look nicer without the Sprint branding.
You will probably ahad better luck getting a back cover from ebay or amazon
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
You can buy a samsung orginally back battery covers on ebay for around $30.00, they are unbranded.
Try a sugar cube. Used to do that back in the day to remove branding. Should work on the back cover. Considering I keep mine in a case I could care less but a sugar cube rubbed lightly over it should remove it without damaging the cover.

Cracked my screen, best screen repair option

There's a seller on ebay selling just the glass for the white model for $26.68. If your digitizer and screen are ok, this is by far your best bet. Even if your phone isn't white and you want to stick with blue, you'd be better off switching the rear cover to white and selling it as a white model. And buy another blue one.
Full screen assembly is $230, which is close to what Samsung charges to replace it.
How high was the drop? Did you have a case on it? Just curious questions...since this phone seems to be fragile due to the large screen.
When I called samsung they said they didn't have a price for the repairs, how did you find out how much they charge?
And also the fall was kinda far onto cement. I was getting out of the car to put gas in and the phone was in my lap and it fell.
Also i had a case on it. The ROCK cases btw i love the look of the case but the screen cracked directly where the case didn't cover the phone which was the top
Someone in the US with an international phone cracked theirs and sent it in.

Parts for ATT Note?

Wanted to buy the surround for the screen and new black digitizer. Is there a specific site that sells these or is eBay my best bet?

EBay. You might be able to pick up a bricked phone for parts you need.

The surround on my GNote has 2 straight cracks for some reason, probably couldn't tell if it were black. The screen seems to scratch easier then my iPhone 3GS but it also has more screen to scratch as well lol.
EBay is your best bet.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
There are many online vendors, but I found that Ebay is the best priced.
Also, on Galaxy Note, glass/LCD/digitizer are all glued together. When you are removing the screen, you will most likely damage the entire thing.
You will need to spend at least $200 to replace the screen/LCD/digitizer.
Some will sell just the glass or just the digitizer or screen/LCD without digitizer. In these cases, the price will be alot lower.
Check carefully before you buy.

I had same thing happen to mine, except it finally chipped away. I'm thinking about doing a replacement of area as well. I think theres a youtube video with break down of note 1
Google. There are many videos on youtube.
Just saw a few videos and noticed that in order to change the piece that's cracking next to screen, you have to heat and separate from digitizer. I think I'll pass and that one
I've purchased a rear housing from Global Direct Parts (I can't link or I'd take you to the Samsung Galaxy Note section) with excellent results. The parts shipped pretty quickly too.
EDIT: Here is the link.

Did it come together with the matching sim door?
As long as you get a fully assembled back cover, this is extremely easy to do. There are just two screws at the bottom, remove them and the phone pops right out.
It did not come with the sim tray, but I think thats ok, with the original black tray it still matches the two toned color scheme. Like the black and red for example.
And petard you are misleading others, it is easy to separate the phone yes, but you must be careful when removing the micro-USB ribbon and connector assembly and the wireless charging coil! Other than delicate patience with those parts though, it is pretty straight forward.

CYAN!
@IronMan1289: Thanks for your explanation!
I was not shure why some sparepart seller say it's difficult and the phone needs some kind of calibration after the cover swap.
Anyway. Did anybody see a cyan cover as a spare part?
I would definitly risk it to change the color.

No problem! But as for the cyan cover, sadly that is an At&t exclusive so for the moment it will be pretty tough for sellers to get their hands on it.

I have also done this. Swapped my Cyan for the all elusive grey. We probably bought the covers from the same seller as mine also came from the UK. I did manage to get my hands on the matching sim door as well. I also had to swap the headphone jack, USB ribbon, bottom antenna (the part where the USB ribbon is attached to), and the wireless charging coil like you mentioned from the old housing over to the new one. I also managed to solve the dust getting into the FFC problem with a few dabs of rubber cement where the dust initially enters in. Overall it was simple and looks OEM. Sorry about the bad pics. Used my old G2.

Great work bud! Does look OEM, but did you not like the Cyan? Or did you just want a color change because I have read a lot that many want at&t's exclusive color, and both times I went they were sold out!!! Lol
Anyway, I am definitely digging the red and may consider buying other colors just for a random change every now and again!!!

Thanks! Yours looks awesome too! The red definitely looks great. Reminds me of a Ferrari lol. Well I got rid of the cyan because I dropped it a few times and the left top corner got bruised up pretty good and it annoyed the crap out of me everytime I picked up my phone. I originally was gonna get the yellow housing but I saw the grey and liked it so much more. I also had that same idea, but I don't wanna keep moving the headphone jack, flex cable, and wireless charging coil everytime I switch housings. I suppose I could buy those parts and pre-install them in the other housing so all I'd have to do is plug in the flex cable and drop the phone in, but I looked it up and all those parts including the new housing came up $166. Just can't justify spending that lol. I actually heard that the cyan was available online only through At&t.

Looks like they removed them all. At least the ones that come with everything pre-installed already (antennas, camera plate, etc...)
Only one I could find is this one, but it requires a lot more work as you have to transfer everything over from the old housing.

Not sure, but this might be the housing that contains all the components that Nissan350/IronMan1289 used. It costs around $113 (US) and is shipped from the UK...
You can also try this link. Quite a number of 920 parts available. Not all of them appear the be the best prices, but then again, there aren't many places selling them.

They are actually pretty good on the cost - £17 over all, including delivery. The problem - Delivery estimate is 10-25 days.
Still, gives me time to pull the thing apart and see how hard this will be

Did you happen to notice if the grey sim tray was a different size than the cyan tray? I swapped my Att black case for a Euro grey case, but my black sim tray will not fit flush in the grey cover.
