[Q] AOSP Voice Search Issue - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

So I've looked around and haven't found this particular issue anywhere.
Expected Behavior: Listening to audio via jack connector, issue a voice search, audio fades back in after search is complete
Actual Behavior: Listening to audio via jack connect, issue a voice search, audio DOES NOT come back after search is complete
Fix: Unplug jack connector, restart audio through phone speaker, replug jack connector (reboot also fixes)
Tested ROM(s): ParanoidAndroid3, CM10.1
Attempted fix: Used Titanium Backup to uninstall Google Search and Google Voice Search, reinstalled via Google Play Store. Issue persists.
Is this a known issue and I simply can't find mention of it? Is there a fix or workaround?

Disabled microphone while audio cable plugged in??

Recently I was driving with my GS3 plugged into the AUX port of my car, and I tried to do a voice search to find a restaurant. Strangely, the mic didn't respond AT ALL. (i.e., it picked up no sound from me or ANYTHING whatsoever,) I tried voice searches with S Voice and with the Google Voice Search, and neither of them worked. I unplugged the AUX cable, yet the mic still didn't respond. The only way that I found I was able to get my microphone to work was to restart the phone, and then S Voice and the Voice Search would work fine, until an audio cable was plugged in. What could be causing this issue? I've been able to do voice searches on my Droid Charge while plugged into an AUX port, but my GS3 doesn't work while plugged in.

[Q] Another bluetooth problem(Navigation, Skype etc get no sound over bluetooth)

Hi, I have already posted this on another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001204&page=6) as a reply, but I think this is a different topic and needs its own thread of discussion.
I have a weird bluetooth problem with my OneX+, where apps like Navigation, Google Voice, Voice Search, Skype etc just do not play through the bluetooth. Only the inbuilt Music app, phone calls and the system sounds (rings, alarms, notification sounds etc) play through bluetooth.
On my phone, the music and phone calls go through bluetooth fine. But the problem is, that all other applications which have some kind of sound output, just do not play through bluetooth. The list includes, Google voice, Voice Search, Navigation, Skype, Waze, Raaga, Pandora and so on. So other than the in built music app, calls and system sounds, nothing else can play through bluetooth.
However, if you have some music played using inbuilt music app, and at the same time Navigation ON too, then all the navigation prompts play through bluetooth fine.
I feel that, in built music or calls can hold and lock the bluetooth connection while the sound output is on, whereas all other applications like Navigation, waze, voice search etc, just cannot keep the bluetooth locked in. Hence when music is being played bluetooth is connection locked and I can hear navigation too. But you switch off music and navigation (or other apps) go mute.
BTW, I tested my car with HTC One X (not plus) from my friend, and it does not exhibit any such problem. Navigation (or other apps) play fine through my car's bluetooth. No need to keep music ON on the phone.
Has anyone noticed this? Can someone please test it with their devices? Please try various sound output apps on your HOX+ over bluetooth, and list them here wheather they could output sound using ur bluetooth device, also please name what bluetooth device you are using.
If you know any work around, it would be of immense help to me for sure.

I will test it with the navigation only on my way back home from work. Will report back.
Just tested navigation without anything else. Worked for me over the car speakers via BT.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
I too do not have this issue. Look under Bluetooth and see what profiles are enabled.
You should have both "Phone audio" and "Media audio" checked. If they are, then unpair and repair your phone.

Stock or running custom Rom? Didn't read your page long article on the problem just the first paragraph, thesis, lol. I ask because I'm running the elegancia ATT Rom and all u say not working are all working perfectly for me! I also use Bluetooth all day at work and in the car. My navigation (stock app) talks to me through my Bluetooth headset as well as Pandora, Google voice, etc. Using plantronics marque 2 headset if it makes a difference.

[Q] Google Speech to text causes audio focus issues

Hi Everyone
I'm having issues with Google Voice Recognition. If I have headphones plugged in and I toggle voice recognition from the soft keyboard (the little mic icon) the media player I have running in the background cuts out. It stays out even after voice recognition has finished listening.
If I toggle voice recognition into listening mode again, the media audio cuts back in until voice recognition stops listening, then it cuts back out. Even apps like Utter! cause this same exact behavior. It seems to be when one of these apps forces the audio to focus on something else. This issue doesn't happen at all if I *don't* have anything plugged into the headphone jack. It works like normal in those cases.
Restarting the media player doesn't fix it. The only ways to fix it are to totally restart the phone, or unplug the headphones, toggle voice recognition, wait for it to stop listening, then plug the headphones back in. Then it all works correctly until the next time voice recognition is toggled. Then the problem happens all over again.
I'm running Beanstalk 4.3 RC1.1 + W03Tweaks v1.6.1 with uneak kernel 2.22 on an AT&T Galaxy Note II. I've tried switching to a different kernel (devil) but I get the same results. I've noticed this problem on both 4.2 and 4.3 rom's for me (Both Beanstalk, haven't tested other roms).
It's driving me crazy since I can't use voice recognition when I'm driving without causing my music to stop. I made a video of what it's doing, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFm-Hk0TADw.

SGS3 i747 Audio Problem

I'm having an issue with my S3. I believe it's more software related.
Whenever I plug in a 3.5mm audio jack, all audio is cut from the device completely and the audio doesn't stream through the jack.
To regain audio I have to do a reboot.
Any idea how to fix this issue, and to get my headphones working properly?
Running cm13.0-20160413-UNOFFICIAL-d2att
((I've had this same issue with previous ROMs))
UPDATE: I found this app called "SoundAbout" which re routes audio on the android device and I was able to get sound from my headphone.
Why would I need an app thou.. When the device should be able to re route audio on its own.

Question My headset mic suddenly does not work on my phone!

Hello!
I have an issue, and it's getting me very frustrated.
So, yesterday, I just finished rooting my Android phone. And recently, someone called me via whatsapp. And when i answered and tried to talk to the other end, i realized that my voice cannot be heard. Strange, i said. Because two days ago it was working fine. And so i thought, maybe it's my headset mic that broke. And so i tested it if it is actually broken by connecting my headset to my laptop. And it worked just fine! So i tried testing my headset mic again on my phone but using a voice recorder app. The issue persisted! I still cannot transmit my voice to my phone using my headset mic! Strangely enough, when i disconnect my headset, the voice recorder app started accepting sound but via the phone mic. And so I tried cleaning my headphone jack and see if it helped. When i connected my headset to my phone, the icon on the notification bar says that a headset is connected (the symbol is of a headphone with a mic). And i thought i fixed it. So i tried testing it using the voice recorder app again, and it still didn't work! I tried using other apps too like trying to search YouTube videos using voice, etc. And they all didn't receive anything from my headset mic... Also, after 5-10 mins the headset icon changes to a regular headphone icon (the icon without the mic). It's like my phone just doesn't want to accept my headset mic.
My phone is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10
I installed Teamwin Recovery just yesterday and rooted it with Magisk.
(And sorry if my English looks bad. It's not my main language )
