Notification bar power widgets is thing what I miss most after swiching from HTC Dream custom roms . Is this possible to make such modification for stock Froyo ROM with root of course . I suppose that it is not very difficult task and this widget could be located in phone.apk ?
Not sure if you're interested but CM7 comes ready with this feature.. its awesome

I think CM7 is not very awsome yet , too many problems still is reported .
So ... any other idea ?
Notification toggle widget from the market by j4velin works good.
Sent from my MotoDefy.
I will try it ... thanks .
Hmmm , it is not bad -- need more time to test ;-)
Widgetsoid?
It's somewhat complicated to use, but when you set all the options it's great.
Did you mean the options like in this screenshot in attach?

Hello. I installed Widgetsoid on my Defy but cannot get the buttons in the Notification bar to do anything. Can you please confirm if they work on your Defy?
How do you know that CM7 isn't good when you didn't even tried it?
Cm7 has improved greatly over time and comes with customizable power Widgets in the notification bar. But if you are really against CM7 I recommend you try MIUI which also has this feature but with more options and customizations. I have used both Roms and enjoy them both.

Hi all
I know cyanogenmod has this feature to rotate the screen 180° (upside down) could this be put into a normal rom? Or is there an app that activates that?
Maybe I should put this in the development section?
Well I don't think that there is any app for this thing. But I think it can be ported because, the function for removing AM-PM thing from the status bar in Kyrillos rom 9 was from cyanogenmod.

Thanks for the answer but i don't know if there's anybody who could do that?
I updated to JB 4.1 today, and ever since everything has mostly been flawless except for one odd bug where the transparent bar will stay backlit after my phone is put to sleep. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?
I did have the Illumination Bar Notification app installed, but deactivating it doesn't seem to help.

Hello, is there any possibility to keep the status / notification bar ALWAYS visible (for fullscreen apps for example)
I'm not searching for an app which can make the bar visible if i do a gesture or anything else in a full screen app
just keeping the notification bar always visible is my request
thank you
I'm using I9000 (SGS) with 4.2.2 AOKP
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.jskt.togglestatusbar&hl=en
I found this useful for monitoring CPU usage, frequency, temperature, RAM, when overclock benchmarking.
thank you ill definately ceck it out (;

Still helpful years later, thanks!
So did you ever find a way to do this? The link in the responses doesn't work anymore..

Hello Guys,
Here is the illumination bar fix for non-stock roms. It still has some issues but stable for use. I have plans for creating an option to enable/disable illumination for user convenience, but that'll be in future release

@AGONTUK, THANKS! your fix is working very well, i don't need Illumination Receiver anymore) Great work!

Do you think it will work on CM11 as well?

It works like ICS: the bar lights when the screens turns on and when buttons are touched while for notifications there is the small led near front camera

Thanks for the information.
So, I will continue to use the Illumination Reicever app. I prefer that the led bar works only for notifications.
In this way, I'm sorry just for the small led doesn't work, sometimes it's useful.

I'll check it out later tonight again.
PS. even unlocking phone takes a bit longer
Good work anyway!!!

I've asked him the same question a while ago, he wants to keep sources private for now, until he thinks that patch is bugless. I think he said that he wants to implement options in settings for illumination, that's why he's prolonging opening the sources (aside from the fact that he has busy private life, like many of us). Once he thinks patch is perfect, he will probably merge it in AOSX source That's how I understood him
