[Q] Ubuntu - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi All,
So does anyone know of any dev's working on a version of Ubuntu for the Note 2? Would like to check out the OS. Not sure how I feel about it.

Considering it's a preview only and the only things functional are camera and Web browser, I don't think anyone is gonna jump on it. If you watch one of the review videos on YouTube, you'll get a good look at it.

Do you mean dual boot I saw a thread in the general forums about a donation to get that going.
Otherwise check out linuxonandroid.org and they also have an apk on play that makes running debian, ubuntu, or backtrack super easy

He is talking about the Ubuntu phone os. Not running the desktop os on your phone.

You may want to use normal type size...no one likes large letters unless you are making a release title.

[Q] Java IDE running on phone

Hi there,
Since new powerfull devices like SGS 2, Optimus 2X.. are finaly out, I was thinking that running an IDE directly on an android phone might be something possible ?
Question is, is there already some kind of IDE apk for our phones ?
Touchqode -- I havent tried this yet but it claims the two most important features I'd want (syntax highlighting and code suggestions)

[Request] Pidgin for android, pidroid, libpurple already ported

I did a forum search and surprisingly didn't see anything come up for this. At any rate, someone ported libpurple over to android but it lacks a gui, and probably needs a bit of polish.
I don't have enough posts to link to the project page but if you google pidroid it's the first result that pops up, some guy at university of waterloo in canada did the libpurple port, with the files available to download.
Maybe someone here could pick up the project and make an app out of it? I know myself and alot of others I know that use pidgin would love an android port, specifically for the OTR stuff.
1up: i would love pidgin on android

Maybe he's thinking it's for character development.

I figured this would be something to do with development since it had to with ubuntu and something working or not...

NOTICE: If You did not create the ROM, KERNEL, FIX, MOD, APP, HACK, GUIDE, or if it's not a SOURCE CODE then it should go to Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime General as it doesn't belong in Development.
If your thread can be phrased as a question, it DEFINITELY doesn't belong in Development either. If you post it in Development it will be moved/closed and you may get an infraction or a ban.
There is only 1 exception, stock ROMs are allowed, as long as the link does not require a registration to download the ROM.
You may start planning a [DEV] topic on General or QA and then have it moved to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Android Development section once the actual Development has started.
☞ Development is classified as original work and/or documented edits and changes made to others work (with their permission) that makes it your own.
Stock ROM dumps that are modified (deodexed, etc.) from the manufacturer's original intent and then repackaged together classifies as development.
Kernel's and Recovery obviously classify as development as they are modified and compiled from source
☞ Themes are graphical/visual changes made to a ROM which make's the ROM visually different from the original work, i.e. different battery icons, a blue-color scheme, etc. They may be packaged up together with a full ROM and deployed the same way. Simply running a script (not made by you) to deodex and then packaging other people's work/MOD's into one place does not constitute original development.

This is a question that has to do with development of ubuntu working on The prime tablet why I posted it here. Sorry I was informed that this is where I would post it. I did read the forum rules. Thought this was the best place for my thread.

That is actually the important point here. If you are asking a question you ALWAYS need to post in the Q&A forum or at least in the General forum.
Questions are absolutely not wanted here!
And welcome to the forums

X86 binaries are not even compatible with ARM, so give or take WINE on ARM, this seems a tad brain farted a thread tbh.

[Q] Imnuts tweaked version

Hello all.
Besides loving everything Imnuts has done, plus Dwiths forays into rom creation. I have one question for all.
How the heck does one install the tweak tools? Do I even dare wanting to install it? I had tweaked setup on my droid charge and I kinda figured it would be available on the note 2 as well. I figured it would be available because of Imnuts and Dwiths involvement in the Note2.
If I'm wrong in thinking the tools are to be embedded, or if I'm wrong in thinking they are needed. Please say so.
I installed goo from the market. still not sure what else it will do for me.
Regardless of my ramblings I am pretty sure Imnuts and Dwith should be held up high on a pedestal for their continued involvement in phone personalization. Gotta love it.
God Bless
Gonk

Sorry to have to tell you this but Tweaktools isn't there for the Note 2. If you want to find out all there is to know about it you need to check out this thread. Dwitherell is on T-Mobile now and develops for their Note 2. Then Imnuts ports it to our phones. Of course you need to watch the VZW Tweaked thread too.
