So this weekend I pulled the trigger and bought a Lumia 920. Love it. But question: My ME tile is stuck on facebook notifications. It shows up to a certain one, but no more new ones after it, even though I've gotten quite a few since then. People hub and wall posts work fine, it's just notifications, which also means I get no new tile updates, which is sad. Also, in the facebook app, I get no toast notifications or tile counts at all. Anyone had this before and have advice on how I can get full functionality from these?
Thanks

Is there a way to remove the Facebook icon from the contacts live tile in WP8? I'm not using Facebook at all, and nothing is synced with facebook - so the icon is a pain in the eye (not meant in any offencive way for all of you who are using FB).
That's not a Nokia issue -- it's a Windows Phone issue. It's in WP7, too.

Thanks for your effort. I have no such option though. I only have the option to filter "Hotmail" and "Nokia Account". I filteret the Nokia account and ticked the "Hide posts from the contacts I've filtered". Didn't help. Even tried to unload the tile and then load the person tile Again. Didn't help eighter. Also tried to filter out the Hotmail - unload and load the persons tile Again. This gives me alot of red and redish tiles + the facebook tile. This indicates that the f-icon is build into the system.
Guess I have to accept it - even when it seems stragne that such an icon is enforced on my device.

you don't have a facebook account, but you still get the big F logo? that's odd. Sounds like a bug. Oddly enough if you did set one up and then hid it, I think you won't see the logo in the rotation. Alternately you could turn people hub into a small tile to get rid of all animation.
login to www.live.com with your acct n check your people hub setting on website
Hi, I've been using Hover for a bit and am loving it. The only slight gripe I have about it is that when I get a message through Facebook messenger, it always shows me the "chat heads active" notification before the actual message. What would be really useful is if you could blacklist these hidden (permanent? Not sure what the word is, see the attached picture) notifications that come from some apps (Google Now does it too) but still allow "normal" notifications through. This would also be really useful with peek: I'm assuming that whenever I get a Google Now notification like this, saying the weather or something my device is waking up to poll sensors etc. This isn't necessary, but I don't want to blacklist the whole app as other notifications (reminders etc.) are useful and I'd like to be able to Peek at.
Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense, it's rather hard to describe. I know hover and peek are relatively new features and I have no idea how hard this would be to implement, but if possible it would be great
Thanks for all your great work on this ROM!

Long hold notification > App Info > Blacklist > Blacklist from Hover/Blacklist from Peek
Sorry, got ahead of myself.
in fact the google now notification is not a persistent one, just it does show up very frequently, and sadly there is no option on which updates we'd like to receive
had the same problem with facebook messenger, just blacklisted the whole app because as there is a chat head hover notification would be useless
I have spent ages googling and none of the descriptions work.
This is my current lock screen:

I would like something on it which reminds me that I have Do Not Disturb active.
The phone is rooted but otherwise it came from amazon.co.uk, sim free. It may be an import from Germany.
Amazon traders sell stuff from all over the place; I believe this phone came from Germany. But, like a lot of Amazon stuff it may be a grey import.
Apparently the lock screen is supposed to show some icon when DND is active, but mine always looks like this.
I can't see where the potential config can be. For example under Notifications / Applications there is a long list of apps and which notifications are OK to show for each one, and that might be a starting point, but there is no "app" for the DND feature.
There is a lot on google and a lot of people are trying to solve this.
Coming from a LGv20, where I used the following combo: Cute little bar at the top showed time & an icon for missed notifications (similar to the Always On Display), and an app called Dynamic Notifications.
The idea on the 2 of those, was: If I got a notification while I was able to look at my phone, Dynamic would show it to me, along with a preview of what the message is. You can slide to open it, ignore it for now, or delete it (depending on the app). If I wasn't looking at my phone, I'd at least see an icon on the top bar so I knew to go look.
AOD does fine for the time & you missed a notification, but when I get one, and my phone is sitting next to me, it's annoying to unlock the phone to check the notification.
Sadly, AOD & Dynamic notifications don't seem to work well together.

Now when the phone is on, I'm not getting my heads-up notifications, and I don't know i the LG did it on its own..o what. So I'm using an app called Heads-up at the moment. Heads-up also has a turn-on-phone feature, so I'm testing it and AOD display as a combination.
Oddly though, Go SMS isn't working with Heads-up, and I'm not always getting the Go SMS built in popup.
---
SO.. what is everyone doing for notification, both with phone on & off?
One last thing - edge lighting - looks neat, but I never put my phone face down. Would kind of kill AOD anyway, no?
Hi guys. I just switched from Apple land and trying to get used to the Android ecosystem since I've been using iPhones since the iPhone 4.
The biggest pain point for me is getting a handle on the notifications. Apple gave you a lot less control over what you see so I'm a bit overwhelmed with the amount of control for SOME apps (I guess it depends on how granular the developer makes it for the users).
My current obstacle is receiving notifications while in an active call. I spend most of my work day in meetings so it's important to see notifications showing up in real time. When I'm on a call the notifications are causing a vibration or alert but there is no popup to indicate which one just came in. When I slide down the notification center I don't think the notifications are sorted by date/time so I have no idea which one just came in.
1) is there a way to force notifications to pop up on screen even when I'm on a call so I can glance at what it's about?
2) is there a way to sort notifications based on date/time so I can make sure the topmost one is the most recent?
3 bonus round) does anyone have a good solution for more iOS like notification bar that looks less congested and confusing (this is one of the only things I miss about iOS)
Thanks.
