Where is the water sticker sensor on the 920?

Pull sim then slide up the tray it's in.
You will see it on the little tray that slides up

Gap between chassis and screen

As the title says, there is a slight gap in the body casing that runs for about 2 inches along the same edge where the charging port and hdmi port is located. It's between the edge of the screen and the plastic just big enough that I can slip paper about the thickness of 2 sheets of paper.
This is my second Atrix that I bought after market new in box because my carrier doesn't have them anymore. Other than this physical defect it works fine. My main concern is dust or lint getting under the screen. I'm wondering if that is an issue? Or is there another layer inside the phone that I can't see that comes between the screen and the chassis?

screen problem?

i have a titan 2 and the screen seems very loose. i can put my finger in between the bezel part and the glass screen and it takes almost no effort to pry it out and move it around. if i press anywhere on the screen, even just lightly, the light "wave effect goes through the entire screen and its very annoying. anyone else have this?
anyone?
I don't have a Titan 2, but I doubt this is more of a generic issue. If it's not been water damaged or dropped, I think you've been supplied one of the faulty pieces. The wave effect through out the screen could be your digitizer.

[Q] Fingerprint scanner replacement

I had to replace my FP scanner after damaging it during replacement of my digitizer screen (4 attempts and finally got the digitizer working properly!).
I purchased the new FP scanner ~$13US here:
Atrix FP reader
Things needed for replacement:
- Plastic pry tool or fingernail
- Two sided tape/adhesive
Steps:
Open the Atrix up as instructed for digitizer removal, until after the point of the chassis cover. Careful removing this cover, its how I broke my scanner when it got yanked during one of the removals.
Next with a fingernail or pry tool, lift the black ribbon cable lock from right to left so its opened up 90 degrees as in my picture.
Pull the old FP scanner out left to right.
Now you will need to remove the plastic backing from the old FP scanner (for the power button) to stick to the new FP scanner part using adhesive tape. Make sure its oriented the same way!
Insert the new FP scanner into the ribbon connector until the white line on the scanner lines up to the edge of the locking connector.
Close the black locking tab down (left to right) so it locks the new FP scanner cable into place.
Replace the chassis cover piece and install the battery and test if the FP scanner is working. Then reassemble after if working...

SIM cover is stuck

I can't find any threads nor mention of this particular problem: I loosened the SIM cover screws a few turns, but the cover remains firmly in place.
Are the SIM cover screws captured or loose? That is, after removing the cover, can the screws fall out or they stay in place? As I loosened the screws they did not rise up, then stayed flush with the case. This suggests that they are captured, that the cover is stuck in place (with that often mentioned sealant?), and that by loosening the screws I may have stripped the case threads.
If the screws are not captured, then why didn't they rise up, even if the cover was stuck? How many screw turns does it take before the SIM cover can be removed?
BTW, after "loosening" the screws I did try prying the cover up with a knife blade. No luck.
That is a new one.
The sim screws only have maybe 4 threads in to hold them in the watch body. I think there are little tiny washers on the inside that holds them more or less onto the sim slot cover plate (which is a symmetric, though that is not blindingly obvious). They can fall out anyway, because any washers that might have been installed tend to break and tear and self destruct, which is convenient for Omate because then they can void any water-resistance warranty you might have felt you deserved (this is a big priority for Omate, apparently, damage control...)
Under the plate is a flimsy black plastic gasket (usually, depending on assembly issues), and you should just pry the plate out. It will eventually give up. Or, you could open the back cover and remove parts cleaning the crap out from where the drunken underpaid Umeox assembler got especially sloppy. Then you could push your sim slot cover plate out from the inside, probably.

Armed with your info, I had another go at it under an illuminated magnifier. Once again the screws loosened, but the cover was firmly stuck. Since there's no real gap between cover and case (nor should there be), I wedged the point of an xacto blade into one of the microscopic screw slots and gave a little sideways prying action -- the cover popped off.
Next up, a second trip to ATT to enable service.

What does "open hall" do on the elephone s8?

Anyone know what "open hall" does? I can't seem to find the setting for Android 7.1.1 when I google it and can't see what difference it makes whether I turn it on or off - ?
It is for the hall sensor which would wake/sleep the phone if there was a compatible flip cover on it. Typically the flip cover would have a window for clock and notification. There is no such cover for the S8 and I do not believe that the hall sensor was ever installed because I have tried a magnet in all the usual places with no response. Probably another omission to rush the S8 to production.
It is in fact for flip cover containing a magnet inside. However it's not only for covers with a window, as it just turns on or off the screen when the cover is covering the screen. It works well, just put a magnet just at the bottom left of the two little dots at the top (proximity and light sensors). You can turn on and off the screen like that.
I didn't find a compatible flip cover though.
