Okay, I traded my HTC Radar for T-Mobile for an unlocked Titan II. Love the phone! Works flawlessly and even get 4G at times in Bellingham, WA. My question is once it is HSPL'd (eventually, I hope) will I be able with a custom ROM to get 4G on T-Mobile all the time?
Also, many site list this phone as having an FM transmitter to listen to music on the radio without wires... I cannot seem to find it anywhere in the settings. Is this something that was never released?
Thanks!
Followup question... for MMS, besides email, are there any alternatives?

As of this typing there is no HSPL for the HTC Titan II (Radiant) and it is highly unlikely there will be. In regards to 4G, Faux G, HSPA+ and/or LTE; it won't matter whether you're HSPL or stuck in stock; you will be able to run on their network if and when they're done refarming the 1900MHz band throughout their network as it appears they have in your area. This lays the groundwork for them to sell the iPhone at those higher speeds. As for MMS; I'm not sure what you mean in regards to an alternative; simply use T-Mobile's network settings and you're good to go. Now, that said, you might not be able to do that via HTC Connection Setup and I don't have an answer right this moment as to an alternative but you might want to go over to TMonews.com and fire that question at them in regards to what MVNO may use MMS via T-Mobile.

Thanks for your reply. As far as the MMS goes, I was referring to picture messaging. Sorry I wasn't clearer on that. There are not editable settings other than the APN which I have as epc.tmobile.com
I heard on another forum that since this is an AT&T phone, the MVNO is locked and cannot be unlocked. Does anyone know if this is true?
Thanks!

Download HTC's Connection Setup from Marketplace and scroll down until to you find Consumer Cellular (it's in my signature); when it's done, power down your phone and reboot. Make sure everything in the APN is blank; that's it...you're good to go. Consumer Wireless is a MVNO of AT&T. I use it on Straight Talk; it was the only MVNO that would play nice with MMS settings on my Titans.

When I run the HTC Connection setup I get the following message:
The carrier doesn't exist in database. Please contact your carrier for connection settings and go to Setting>cellular>edit APN for further configuration.
Does this mean that even though I am using an unlocked device, that the MMS will never work on T-Mobile?
Thanks!

Sort of... You get your choice on which service you want to run... You can have the data services or MMS... This is how you set it up.
For MMS Only: Install Connection Setup > Select "Consumer Cellular" from list > restart phone
For Data Only (including bing and MSN services): Settings > Cellular > "Edit APN" appears at bottom > Enter the following information:
•Name: T-Mobile
•APN: epc.tmobile.com
•Proxy: <Not set>
•Port: <Not set>
•Username: <Not set>
•Password: <Not set>
•Server: <Not set>
It sounds like you already have the data portion setup correctly, but you have to choose one or the other... I am hoping for a solution to this soon as I love my Titan, but for now I have a Lumia 810 on T-Mobile instead.

He means for HTC Titan II, that error message pops up and force closes the application connection setup before you can reach the landing page. Can't select any carrier from list since Titan II users can't use connection setup, period.

I've done some searching and didn't happen to run across anyone that was having a similar problem. Originally, I thought this might be a StraightTalk/Verizon issue, but I've confirmed that one of my family members with ST T-Mobile can text with Verizon folks just fine. So let me dive into the details...
I've had my StraightTalk T-Mobile sim card for about a week now. I activated it without any problems, set up the APN and everything seemed to be working just fine. I've been texting with a few family members and some co-workers without issues. My data and voice calls are all working fine as well.
I went to text a friend that has Verizon post paid service and he never got my text. So I sent a few more without success, then tried to text my own Verizon number (since my account is still active for the moment) and I never received my own text either. He sent me a text message that I received just fine though, but again he didn't get my response. Just to further test, I send an MMS message to myself and my friend on Verizon and that came through just fine, so it appears that all texting capabilities work with the following carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, ST T-Mobile) with the exception of regular SMS to Verizon.
Here are my APN settings:
Name: StraightTalk T-Mobile
APN: wap.tracfone
Proxy: Not set
Port: 8080
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http:**mms.tracfone.com (replace ** with //, since I can't post links)

About the phone... I purchased an AT&T Note (sgh-i717) and unlocked it myself. The unlock was successful but I was only getting edge data since T-Mobile has re-farmed the towers in my area yet. So, I installed CWM and flashed the Blaze4G radios. I'm now getting consistent signal and H+ speed (4-8 mbps avg, 14 mbps peak). The only other thing I had to change was that my phone number wasn't showing up in the About Phone -> Status section, so I went into the dialer -> Settings -> Additional Settings -> My Phone Number and set it there in the format of xxx-xxx-xxxx. I also just flashed the T-Mobile VKL1 radio as well but no change in my sms issue.
I'm a bit lost at this point on why everything else would work except for sending sms to Verizon but yet I can receive them from Verizon just fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Texts aren't immediate when the network is busy. Sometimes the delay can be several hours.
None of my Verizon messages are ever delivered, some from 3-4 days ago. I called Straight Talk tech support and they are tracing some of my messages. One of the things they thing might be wrong is the message center number that is configured in my phone but they didn't want to change it until after they could do further research.
Update: Confirmed the smsc is correct, so that doesn't appear to be the issue.
Just a follow up in case anyone else ever had an issue similar... a T-Mobile technician called me today, they found out Verizon had blocked my cell phone number from their network. After the tech got the ban lifted, texting is working just fine.

Hi, I have a Stock T-Mobile HTC One with no Root using the stock APN below
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
APN Type: default,supl,admin,hipri
And my speeds on HSPS+ are super slow no more then 3.0MB
But when I'm using this APN settings bellow
APN: epc.t-mobile.com
APN Type: default,supl,admin,mms,hipri
I get 10.0MB UP to 20.MB but wont send any MMS. Has anyone run into similar issues on the HTC One? Is there a fix for MMS.
Thanks

I hope I am not intruding here, but this thread is the closest to what I am looking for (stock) and I figured that any one of you could probably answer this question.
I do not have direct access to the phone and need to pass this on to my son, so please dont skip any steps, assuming knowledge. I have never even held an HTC phone yet. My son absolutely loves it though and has me intrigued. ?
Anyway, he has an "HTC One" that he purchased here in the USA, at a T-Mobile store.
I know that with my Samsung, there is not only the Samsung line name (Note 2), but there is also a specific Model # that Sprint puts into the phone (in my case, SPH-L900). And then, even from there, it divides up further into US & International versions, each with its own model #, even within the same carrier.
I am thinking that maybe it is the same for the HTC One line?
My son looked in the Info" screen, but all it says is "HTC One" and nothing else.
Please, where should he go to find this information?
Or is this not relevant in the HTC world?
He wants to stay with the Factory ROM, but Root it. I know applying the wrong tools can quickly brick a phone.
Can someone help me with this please? Once I have the right tool, then I can take it from there. Thanks!

Tried the epc APN out of curiousity..it was 4G only. I guess if you live in a HSPA or LTE are, the "fast" APN is what you want. I now have a different APN to try though when traveling. This is in the Hampton Roads, VA area

Now ive tried adding over APNs with fast.tmobile.com fast.t-mobile.com epc.tmobile.com with same everything except APN type ive tried blank, just defualt, the same as I have above minus the mms and nothing seems to work. The only other two things I can think of that might work are go into the APN settings and click 'reset to default' reboot and see if it works. And try registering on another carrier in the network operators menu - you should get an error that your SIM isn't supported and then manual re-register on T-Mo.
Update: Straight Talk's website now tells you the apn setting you should be using, to do this visit the link at the bottom of this post and follow the directions. The apn settings in this post should be the settings all new users are assigned, checking the link would tell you for sure though.
Just a heads up, if you're using Straight Talk's BYOP sim card and your data quit working, you may have been transitioned to new apn settings. I read about it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310215 in the Nexus 4 forums.
It seems users there lost all mobile data connectivity after their service renewed. The new apn settings seemed to have restored their data connectivity. I suggest making a second apn setting on your phone with the new settings I've posted below. The reason why I suggest a second apn is so you can easily switch between apns if you lose data connectivity on the new apn, I see it as an easy troubleshooting step down the road.
Here is the new apn
Name: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
Port: 80
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS Port: 80
Straight Talk now let's you type in your phone number on their website to look up which apn settings you should be using, it can be found here

I hope somebody finds this useful and hopefully doesn't cause confusion.

I tried this too on my Google Nexus 4 because the results from my speedtests have been very poor [pic attached].
Unfortunately for me, the new APN settings are not working. In the mean time, I have placed a support ticket with Straight Talk to fix this issue.

Probably because you need the new LTE sim card from ST, which only recently came out; that is if your hardware supports it, as creepy stated.

From what I've gathered, there are two different At&t apn settings for straight talk's byop sim card, either att.mvno or tfdata. I use to be on att.mvno for my apn, but when I changed to their lte sim card, my apn settings became tfdata.
I'm not sure cdma phones have programmable apn settings.

I have had problems sending mms on the i777 on non-stock based roms such as cm. I had better luck getting mms to go if I disconnected from wifi and waiting for the phone to establish a data connection before sending the mms. I never had much luck with toggling airplane mode on and off to get an mms to go. If it didn't go the first time, I'd just forward the mms I was trying to send to the same person that I was trying to originally send it to, normally the forwarded one went. I decided to forward it to them because it took less time than making a new mms message all over again. hope that helps.
In the mms proxy field put
66.209.11.33 Instead or try 66.209.11.34

No new sim for LTE

Probably because you need the new LTE sim card from ST, which only recently came out; that is if your hardware supports it, as creepy stated.
And please be aware that this is the i777 forum.

That is not true, On New LTE card. I have a older SIm card I purchased 6 months ago. I get LTE with that card and never had to buy the new "LTE" Sim.

You may get faster speeds, but you're not getting true LTE, because our device simply doesn't have the necessary hardware.
But I'm glad you're getting better speed, I agree with trevor, please share your setup!

The new APN settings can also be viewed on Straight Talk's website here:
http://straighttalksim.com/support-data.php#
I hope somebody finds this useful and hopefully doesn't cause confusion.

I am activating Straight Talk bringing my i777 S2 from ATT. They told me to use the same settings as you've listed above. How long did your activation take? I got them on the phone at 11am and it is now 8pm. I'm still waiting - Is that normal?
Thanks
Pete

Well it depends, are you porting your number or are you getting a new number from them? When I activated my straight talk sim card, I got a new number and was up in running in minutes, if not instantly.
I have tmobile when inserted the simcard in my z2 I've noticed that I'm not getting any internet connection so i went to Setting/wireless and networks/internet setting and downloaded all the files then I went to mobile netword and changed it to 4G Tmobile, starting that day I keep losing connection every time I have to go to mobile network and change it manually although it's set on automatic, most of teh times 4g doesn't work and I have to set it to 3g... it's really annoying
In your dial pad type in *#*#info#*#* (numbers for info)
Go to phone info
Scroll down
Select prefered network mode
Select LTE or an option for local with
Go back to your network settings and see if 4G shows up
If not change your mode back to what it was before and call tmobile because they may have to sort some issues out for you

go to your network settings, when tmobile USA shows up with 4G click it to register, once thats done, go back a menu and click on network mode and change it to LTE/HSPDA/GSM (or what ever bands are used in USA)
you should have data connection but 4G depends on how good Tmobile USA Coverage is
You may need to call TMo and ask them to do whatever they do in the backend to reset the phone to network connection. Another thing is to look at TMo support site for the correct APN settings. In my case, data was perfect but MMS would not work because the phone settings were incorrect. Basically, call TMo. They will even email you the settings.
One last thing. Try airplane mode off then on and see it that helps.

One thing I would do, is to call T-Mobile and register the IMEI so they can provision the unit. The settings on their end may have something which is preventing it to connect to it based on a previous phone's capabilities.
-----------------
I had something similar similar but it was with AT&T. In my case, it would not connect to LTE at all as it would stick on HPSA. This was because I had a S3 (UK version), which was only capable of HSPA+, and I had registered the IMEI with them prior.
I had a lot of problems getting my Z2 to work on T-Mobile as well. I finally used the following settings to get everything to work.
Create 2 APNs, the first should have the Following Settings:
Name: T-Mobile
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
Proxy: 216.155.165.050
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/
MMS proxy: 216.155.165.50
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN Type: defaul,supl,admin,dun,mms
APN Protocol: IPv4
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
Now create a second APN with the following settings:
Name: T-Mobile GPRS
APN: epc.tmobile.com
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN Protocol: IPv4
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
With both of those created, go to your list of APNs and make sure your first one (T-Mobile) is selected.
These settings fixed my problems, hope you get it worked out.

I had a similar issue, is that why my phone doesn't have signal with tmobile cause I have to register the IMEI?

It is likely, make sure the internet/mms settings are downloaded too.
Once the IMEI is registered, they will able to see what phone it is and enable the proper features which the phone is capable of.
I heard it's best to let them know as the IMEI as well because they could flag the unauthorized phones and reject it from being connected the carrier.

Well I'm all honesty, I think you should have just bought the tmobile version because that is the one that comes unlocked. As for your signal problem, have you tried asking tmobile on how to do it? Or maybe you can look up YouTube videos on how to do so

I heard that verizon g3 does work on tmobile and it works for everyone. AM not sure if i missed out on some steps.
It works. If it doesn't work the only thing I would say is to check if the imei is clean and not reported blacklisted.
If that's good, then toggle the gsm setting from utms/gsm/lte to global and see of that helps

I have an version lg g3 on tmobile from Verizon. You are missing the apn settings you need to manually enter possibly?
swap down from the top of the screen and hold the data circle icon - this will bring you to mobile networks. Select Access point names.
add a new apn.
Name: T-mobile LTE
apn: Fast.T-mobile.com (don't forget the -)
proxy: not set
port: not set
username: not set
passowrd: Not set
server: not set
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
mms proxy: not set
mms port: not set
mcc: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: not set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
Apn Protocol: ipv6
Apn roaming protocol: ipv4
Save.
Also in system select, I use LTE/GSM/UMTS mode.
Global mode works, but i cant send text messages through native app. So i use lte/gsm/umts mode so i can send texts.
I also downloaded the T-mobile visual voice app for visual voicemail
