Galaxy S2 sleep problem. - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.
I have an issue on my SGS2. When phone sleeps for some time it wont wake up more. I need to press on/off button and it starts again. Its like phone shutts down. Its not all the time. Maybe once a day.
It happens on all custom roms so its not rom related. I tryed even both siyah and dorimanx and same thing happens. So i dont even think its kernel related. Is there any app that i can use and see what happens when phone shut down?
Thanks

Ok my phone did it again and now fell down from 60 in battery to 20 percent. I think i got an sgs2 with usb port broken?

You got a fuel gauge going on there.
Let it drain till it's off, charge till it's full, remove the batter (all this with the device off) for 90 sec aprox.
Put it back, power on.

Lol, you love bumping don't ya?
You can drain the batter while phone is off by leaving it aside for 3-5 weeks, got the time?
Now, yeah; that stweak's trick works too.
Fuel gauge is you battery settling in.

i tried that by it doesnot make any change
Calibrate your battery. Charge it to 100%. Unplug. Turn off phone. Take out battery for 2-3 minutes. (This will reset the fuel-gauge chip). Reboot phone and charge to 100%.
Let us know how you go
sorry for being late .i tried leaving the phone in the charger for about 30 minutes after recharging and it did work thanks for help

The strange is that i left it at 12 at midnight at 45 percent and i found it at 6 o'clock in the morning at 35 percent, the phone closed at 11 o'clock in the morning but till there everything was fine till there i had the original battery and charger but the phone recognizes the charger when plugged in but the temperature of the phone and the charge time is not normal,i will check it again tomorrow and if the problem continues to exist i will send it to the service.

97 %? that's an usb charge, don't tell me you are charging it via USB now....

recovery question?

If my phones at, say 30% battery, can I plug it into a charger boot into recovery and not worry about my phone dieing? If its plugged in a charger and in recovery can it die is my question.
Thanks!
Why post here? Ask in general section please.

(Q) charging battery over night

Guys I am wandering, can you harm you're phone if it's left on charge overnight on the quick charger? I put mine on to charge right before I go to sleep, then I take it of if I wake up during the night, or first thing on the morning. Is this dangerous for either the phone or the charger??
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
Nope. Android will charge to 100%, then let it drop to 90%, then recharge to 100. It wont cause damage/fire etc.
Thanks so much for clearing that up for me
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
I have always charged my phones overnight and it has never done any harm. Looking on the battery monitor widget the Xperia S charges just like everyone other Android phone i have owned, up to 100% full then just remains on a trickle charge.
Be carefull. It will blow up..

SGS2 Battery drain and charging problem

Hi, two weeks ago I dropped my SGS2 to snow and it was there 2 hours :/ After that im getting strange problems, my last 10% of battery drains in minutes and last 3% in seconds Second problem is that when battery is so low that my phone dies it wont charge, it only shows battery and triangle icon. I have tried 2 different ac chargers and usb chargers and tried even my girlfriends s2 battery, I have waited for 1,5 hours charging and the triangle icon is still there. I have used my girlfriends SGS2 to charge my battery. I always charge 5-10% and plug it back in my phone. I dont have any problem if I dont let my battery go under 15% anyone have similar issues? If some circuit is damaged is there anyway to replace / repair it? And sorry for my bad english
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Now my phone didn't wake from deep sleep, power was on but I need to reboot it. battery was 100% before and after 20min in deep sleep and reboot it was 85% I increased 100MHz, 200MHz and 500MHz by 25mV
to see if 1 of many problems goes away
Bumb
when was this snow drop?

Like I said about two weeks ago.
Give the guy a break and leave it off for a day, battery off and all. Stuck it in a ziplocked bag of rice. Can't hurt to try.
Mine was under the rain last monday, everything's fine but I'ma do it anyway.

About week ago I reseted fuel gauge chip and noticed no change, I googled 2 hours and I find post about the same problem. Someone said that it can be software related issue and can be fixed with reflash. So I wait for offical jb update
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Yeah, it's about to roll out any time now.
Now after 2 weeks of fuel gauge chip reset all problems have disappeared and battery life is very good. Now I have 70% left, phone have been 1d 2h on battery. I have used the phone 1.5h with wifi so nothing bad to say

Good to know

Battery problem?

I have battery problems in my sgs2. Sometimes my phone gets freezed and then after restart i have battery from 97% to 14% in few seconds. Whats wrong? I use rootbox v4.1 actually but this problems happens for about 1 year.

Either it's fuel gauge or the battery is faulty.
Sent from the little guy
But i can use my phone for a long time on even 4%. Wtf lol?
Sent by Tapatalk
Then it's battery fuel gauge.
Told ya, it's one of those.
My battery % starts increasing after I unplug it and no, it's not because of wireless charging, plain fuel gauge.
Sent from the little guy
Thanks, how can i repair this?
Sent by Tapatalk
By wipping the battery stats via CWM or stweakes

I've been having this same problem, and went back to stock 4.1.2 trying to fix it. I'll flash Siyah Kernel again and see if I can fix it that way.
I've been trying out different ROMs trying to fix it, but it turns out all the flashing may be whats causing it. With Supernexus 3.0 coming soon, I hope it works!
Thanks!
