Hello and thanks for any help.
I softbricked my phone trying to install the OTA, so in an attempt to recover, I ran Razr util 1.82, selected option 1, and let it install. Then, while in recovery, I attempted to install the full JB update, and get the following error message:
Verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("EMMC:boot:8388608:46b1d867743b5 a4db403dc2cd67a124cbd2b2173:8388608:7abc93a
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
Anyone have any experience with this error? I've tried to troubleshoot the JB package and downloaded 3 different .zip's - has not changed or solved the problem.
Currently without a phone and hoping my phone is still salvageable! Any advice?

btw, I have try to use the RSDLite 5.0 and try to flash the OLYFR_U4_1.2.6 sbf to my atrix, but it report "Failed flashing process. Phone[0000]hone did not re-enumerate after RAM-downloader was sent (0x703E): Phone connected.
P.S: sorry for my poor english
Sorry I think I should post this on the Q&A .... ><
Try to go into recovery and do factory reset then try to flash again to 4.1.26. I dont know what would cause the enumeration to fail. Im not experienced enough to know what would cause it to fail like that but Id be more that happy to help as much as I can.

i have the same problem. Is there a solution?
followed the root step by step. I have S-off, and SU installed... but when i go to install certain roms, I get this.
--install / sdcard ...
finding update package..
opening update package...
E:cant open /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(bad)
not sure whats up with that, someone said its cause I dont have SU, but I followed the root process exact, so what else does this mean? and how can I get other these roms to work -
this rom is Viper 1.2
Did you flash a su zip?

Try the latest twrp 1.0.2 I had the same problem as you, and I redid the recovery tonight, and the problem is gone, for me, at least on the one rom I flashed tonight. I tried cwm yesterday and got an error with that recovery too, but it was a different error, but I am sure it meant the same thing.
Another way around it is to just do a reboot. Your system wont be there so reboot into bootloader and go back into recovery. This worked yesterday for me....
yes neopolotin75 , I did flash the SU file, signed and unsigned....
and yes B-Mod, got 1.0.2 installed, and also again did the signed and unsigned, wiped everything, formatted everything, and still no go....
not sure what the heck. maybe take my phone back to stock, and start over...
thanks anyhow...
disconnect the cable from the phone.....
FIGURED IT OUT - i got my file from mega upload, 2 times..... along with some of the other roms, and they always gave that error...
I now got viper 1.2 from hostfile. it is installing, after comparing the files, mega upload said it was good, but was missing about 2 megs of data.
hope this will help anyone else who gets this error, just try different sites for your roms as they seem to be getting hit hard with lots of downloads.
I had the same issue. If you re-apply the ZIP a second time it works without an error message.

Sometimes. If it's a status 0, 1, or 2 that is usually accurate. Just reboot back into recovery and it works. But if it says "bad", the .zip is corrupt and it needs to be redownloaded.

If you're bricked then go here:
http://batakang.com/ftp/?dir=DROID_RAZR
Download "XT912JBUnbrick"
1) Put your phone in AP Fastboot mode and plug it in to your PC.
2) Extract the .zip you downloaded and then run the .bat file.
3) Follow instructions.
4) When in recovery mode, FIRST wipe your data BEFORE installing the JB OTA update again.
Hope this helped

I have destroyed my RAZR, i have tried Matt's utility, I've tried ADB fastboot, I am at a total loss and NEEED to find the jellybean fastboot files. I have been looking for days and can't find them. Any news in this area?
I'm running the latest stock firmware and Siyah kernel. I tried to flash the latest version of the LiquidSmooth rom and receievd the error:
assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") == "d2aat" l l getprop ("ro.build.product") == "d2att"
E: Error in /emmc//Liquid-JB-v2.0-RC5-d2att.zip

I did some searching and concluded that my outdated version of cwm is causing the problem. I first attempted to upgrade to the latest version of Touch cwm with Rom manager but was unable to install the update because apparently there was an "Error while downloading from server." I tried about 10 times on both wifi and 3g to avail. I then attempted to manually flash Touch v.6.0.3.5 from a .zip file in my current version of cwm (non-touch v.6.0.3.2) and although it said 'install from sdcard complete', when I reboot into recovery I'm still on the 6.0.3.2 version, the update won't stick. I tried multiple times but I just can't get it to overwrite my current version of cwm. Lastly I tried flashing Touch v.6.0.3.5 with a .tar file via oOdin. Odin said the flash was successful but when I tried to boot into recovery it got stuck on the Samsung logo. I just used Rom manager to flash back to 6.0.3.2 and now I'm back to square one.
All I want to do is update my recovery! Why is this so difficult? :crying:
I'd greatly appreciate any advice you can offer.
Anyone? Sorry, I know bumping is kind of obnoxious but I'm really stuck here.

Try PhilZ Touch recovery. And as far as I know 6.0.3.5 isn't ready for the S3 yet so maybe that's why you're having problems.

Thanks for replying. I successfully flashed PhilZ recovery so that's a step in the right direction. However I still can't flash Liquid Smooth. When I select 'install from .zip' and then 'choose file from sd card' the Liquid Smooth zip file isn't there (even though it is definitely the on the root of my SD card), it was detected on my previous version of cwm but not on PhilZ for some reason. When I select 'choose file from sd card' all I see is a directory called 'clockworkmod /', when I select that it just says 'no files found.' What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, I won't do it again.
You don't sound too big on reading information, try following the instructions for philz interface as it sounds like you're looking at your internal sd card.

I actually did skim the entire page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860) and couldn't find any help. After reading your post I also did a control+g search for the word 'sdcard' and couldn't find the information you alluded to. Anyway, I moved the Liquid Smooth zip to my external SD card as your post implied I should. I can see the zip now so thanks. However, when I try to flash it, I'm still getting the exact same error as I was on my original version of cwm:
assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") == "d2aat" l l getprop ("ro.build.product") == "d2att"
E: Error in /emmc//Liquid-JB-v2.0-RC5-d2att.zip

I've already tried wiping so I'll head over the official Liquid Smooth thread and see if anyone there can help me out. Thanks for trying to help everyone, at least we've ruled out the possibility that it's a recovery issue.

Thanks but I'm definitely, flashing the i9300 version, I copied the error from another thread and forgot to edit the version.

Well super thanks to you, I had the same issue... the rom didn't flash, but because you realised you made a mistake on the version I double checked mine :silly: as it turns out I was trying to flash the i900... not i9300 rom I feel so dumb
