please can someone help, i have htc hd2 and its now on adroid 2.2 but it was a mistake i really want it bck to windows mobile 6.5 but theres nothing to explain how to do it, can someone please help, i hava tried doing through ruu, but it wont recognize my phone, not sure if its because of android but it doesnt work anymore just wont connect, please help someone
You "mistakenly" switched to android?
What android have you got on your phone, NAND or SD, if its Sd then you simply reboot phone. If its NAND you need to flash widnows back.
If you have HSPL then just put a windows rom on yoru card, rename it leo.img and then put phone into bootloader mode.
If you dont ahve HSPL then connect via USB and put phone into bootloader mode and run your flashing prog.
do task29 that contains blank .nbh. you must have hspl 2.08 first to run this then install any custom ROM through PC or your branded ROM through SD card it should work. i hope this helps.

I got one of these, he came with android when i buy it, so i change to windows phone beacuse the battery was draining fast.
I install windows phone 7 with magdlr help, but i want to try others rom from 6.5 artemis or the bsb best but i try to install with magdlr and didn't work. I read i find out that i need something call hspl or spl, i try to install but i need version 1.43 at least i dont't have it. I try to install another that game a version of spl updated but mgdlr dont accept me the others rom to update the spl to 1.43.
And i put the phone in normal mode with the usb my windows 7 64 bits don't detect the phone missing drivers i guess but i already install drvupdate-amd64 i don't know why he doesn't recognize it. While mgdrl mode and recovery (green, red etc lines) he did recognize it.
What i can do??? I very new i been reading but this spl and drivers isues stop me
You cannot flash Windows Mobile 6.5 ROMs with MAGLDR.
On your PC, you should install Windows Mobile Device Center to get the correct USB drivers. Then, you should flash first the official TMOUS ROM to delete what´s on your device, re-flash HSPL (using HSPL3 or HSPL4) and then the custom ROM you want.
This way, old stuff incl. MAGLDR any maybe a wrong Radio ROM will be gone.
For all you need to do, please check the stickies in the ROM thread (how to flash your first custom ROM etc.).

Man. You are lucky all those flashing with MAGLDR didnt really screw your phone for good.
Here is an eye-opener and best method in my opinion you shud follow.
1- Find the original ROM for your HD2 (This is easy using your serial number located under the battery). Google for T-Mobile ROM update and eventually you will be in T-Mobile Update site.
2- No luck in step 1? No Problem. Just read the sticky on how to install HSPL 2.08 by Cotulla. Then install the radio version 2.15.50.14.
DONT FLASH ANY RADIO WITH THE VERSION 2.15.5X.14 (X being equal to any number) In plain ENGLISH...dont flash a RADIO with 51. Only flash with 50 for TMO HD2
3. Now reboot your device in Bootloader mode and install any Windows ROM you want. Just steer clear of MAGLDR and flashing until you have proper knowledge and patience. Else you might end up with a dead HD2
I try to download the official rom and i found an uk version
But before this i have one problem the usb driver, i already install them with windows mobile device center too and still my pc dont detect the phone, is missing two drivers, two unknow devices.

You could seriously damage and brick your phone flashing a non-US ROM onto your device. Why didn´t you check the ROM threads more carefully? Or the hint the previous poster gave you?
Maybe the fact you don´t get the driver thingy right saved your HD2.
And also, did you try flashing from the normal bootloader then? Another option would be to use the SD card method.
But then again, this would require some reading from your side. If you don´t like reading, you shouldn´t start flashing.
I have benn reading i try to install in bootloader but everytime i try thrown me a error and the the phone do a restart.
My spl version now is nspl 0.96.2250.0, so i cannot install hspl because at least i need the 1.42 version, i cannot install rom from normal mode, the only way i got is bootloader (assuming that doesn't keep popup that error) and magdlr.
Did you know how can i get a official rom that come with a higher spl version and be exceted from booloader or magdlr??

Where from did you get the bootloader version information? As far as I remember, that is the version which comes from WP7. Strange, somehow.
Original Windows Mobile ROMs cannot be flashed via MAGLDR at all.
You must enter the standard bootloader, which is loaded *before* MAGLDR.
To do this, turn off your device, turn it back on pushing vol. down and power on at the same time - * and keep them pushed* until you see the multicolor bootloader screen. In this screen, you should be able to read what SPL version is on your device.
I do again recommend to flash an original ROM via SD card method (using a 2GB, FAT32 formatted card), please check here for the how-to. The ROM should be available here (be careful not to flash a test ROM, but a stock ROM!).
I succeded, i have to do it throw sd card method, and install the RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.07.531.6_Radio_Signed_15.33.50.07U_2.07.50.27_2_Test rom.
Now i have spl 2.07 installed, i will proceed to install hspl 4 i guess, to flash roms

I just installed RSPL and HSPL, and tried to connect with the PC in Bootloader mode. Until that everything was fine, but everytime i try to Install the ROM with ROMUpdateUtility.exe i get failure 266... But the Phone displays the USB connection... So i am a bit confused about that...
I wanted to install the ROM because of the unlock. You now that it isnt possible to install chevronwp7 on mango therefore i wanted to install an unlocked ROM. Later i wanted to install Navigon on it...
So what do you think about it? Do i have a chance to flash an unlocked rom or shoul i wait for the final version. And if i wait, where do i get Navigon?
I am looking for an Offline Navisoftware, and the only one i now is navigon.
If you know a better or alternative one please tell me.

Hmm, I can't find info on error 266. It does not give any more descriptive message stating what an error 266 is?
Maybe try install Windows Mobile Device Centre if you are on Vista or Windows 7... If you are on XP try install Active Sync. Then connect your phone normally (to Zune). Then restart your PC and when you get back into Windows put your device in the bootloader menu and wait for it to detect you are in USB mode, then run RUU again and see if it works.
I am assuming you get the 266 error at the very end just before it starts the update?
Also just to cover myself, remember you do everything at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible for any damages etc.
Although I highly doubt installing the above mentioned application and trying again will damage your device :-D

Hmm, I really am not sure.
How did you get it to 7712? Have you ever flashed your phone before?
There are 2 things which I can think of which may for some unknown reason work.
1) Reset your device and then try and flash your phone again with the rom.
2) Try and flash your Mozart with Ansar's NoDo ROM and see if that works (I used his NoDo ROM then updated it to Mango with the chevron unlock).

Also when you enter the bootloader by holding down the volume button during a reset, in the red block does it say HSPL1.xx and below that CotullaHSPL?
Also is your phone maybe a branded phone? If so you have to unbrand it first before you can put a different unbranded ROM on as far as I know.

It wasnt a new bran new phone, was new , but i bought it from a person which used it before. Maybe he had flashed.
However, i cant see any branding on startup or so. The Phone has 16 GB...

If your using RSPL or HSPL please flash with stock rom and then flash RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_4.06.401.00_5.69.09_RELEAS E.exe without SPL_signed.nbh other wise ur boot loader may damage and it will not visible. Click Here

Hi XDA-Devs, i have here a german T-Mobile HTC Mozart and want to flash it with an newer Rom. I can connect the Phone with Zune on my Win7 PC, but the Windows Mobile Device Center can not find my Mozart.
I have download this Rom > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1359397 and extract it with 7zip to my desk.
Than ill tryed to boot the phone with Powerbutton+VolumeDown to the Bootloader Mode "Serial" than i connect the Phone via USB-Cable to PC, "Serial" switched to "USB". In the first Steps, the RomUpdateUtility don not display me information about the current image, in the next step i can click "Update", on the next page i also can not see information about the current version. After this i started the RomUpdateUtility, i see a ProcessBar on PC and Phone, but all the time on 0% of process , after a few minutes i become the following error: "Error 262 The Update Utility has encountered communication errors during the update process"

This is Usually things to do for Flash Custom Rom. For make your phone "flashable" with custom roms(no official roms) you need to install RSPL/HSPL.
1. If you have MANGO with SPL 4.xx or 5.xx in your device, flash a NODO Rom first to downgrade SPL otherwise you´ll brick it.
2. You must have RSPL/HSPL installed in your device , download RSPL/HSPL see this thread HERE.
3. Before doing any operations be sure you have battery level more than 50%!
4. Now flash Custom Rom you download and extract before.
Warranty Issues
Be warned, using RSPL may void your warranty.
If you need to send your device to a Repair Centre, make sure that it looks like stock! Install stock official ROM before go to Repair Centre.
And Please.. Read Always Full guides before do anything.... It prevent to brick your phone

Please Help ! I read lots of pages in forum, but can't find what I'm doing wrong. I want to get HSPL working to able to instal custom ROM to use Nokia apps, witch are way better than HTC and Marketplace apps.

Here is what I did, I flashed using Goldcardtool with Y-cable, OMEGIMG.nbh. I think flash did not finished properly, it went too fast, phone rebooted to SPL , plugged in to PC used DFT_HSPL_WP7SG1_INSTALL, install finished OK , but when I boot up to HSPL mode it does NOT connect to PC.
(Using ROMUpdateUtility getting connection error (260))

Problem fixed. After HSPL install needed second time boot to USB Host mode and this time radio installed correctly. All good now, time for custom ROM
