Stock GS2 Rom for australia (optus) wanted

Hi Guys
Purchase a new galaxy nexus and so have now got the galaxy s 2 for sale.
Just wondering if there is a stock rom for the optus australia galaxy nexus available on here, (or any stock rom) that will work and can be flashed back via odin.
I tried to emergency recover the phone via kies to go back to oem however keeps giving me a "current mode not supported error".
Cheers,
Dave

Have you tried searching? Stock carrier ROMs are all in the Original Android Development section. Specifically in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928
Scroll down until Optus.
Thanks sleeycat, did a search and found the thread shortly after
downloading the firmware now!

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 installed wrong firmware please help anyone

Hi I got the samsung galaxy s3 when i bought the mobile it was rooted but its unbranded as there were no logos on the mobile or on the mobile box. I unrooted the mobile and reset the binary counter back to 0, the firmware i installed than was original firmware from sammobile website, but later i found the firmware was customized and it wasn't complete. Finally I installed Samsung Kies and used the option of firmware upgrade and initialisation to restore my device to factory settings but when my mobile switched back on i was surprised to see s3 got firmware with vodafone settings, my mobile is simfree but now im not sure. can anyone please help me how i can get the original firmware on my s3 and samsung kies will recognize my device as after upgrade and initialisation when i connect the device to my pc i get the message samsung does not support the firmware and i cannot get firmware upgrade from kies.
really need help to sort it out.
First you need to determine what model the phone is. This can easily be determine under Settings>about device>Model number
If it says GT-I9300, then you have the international version, if not then google whatever it displays then it will tell you what version you have. depending on which version you have, you will need to go to the respective forum and download a ROM. Install this Rom in recovery mode (this is explained in another thread in Q&A)

Rooting your phone doesn't change your firmware.. You're still on the stock firmware unless you flashed a new rom. Goto settings>about device> and see your build.. Then goto Sammobile and downlaod the rom that is listed for Panama and matches your carrier or build whichever. Download it and flash it rom via Odin and you'll be unrooted.
though i don't see any point in unrooting. Rooted is always better.

The firmware that matches your location and network .
Just update via Kies and read the faqs and guides .
Updates cannot lock sim .

As @JJEgan said, no link between firmware update and SIMlock.
If the phone is unlock properly (free by default or unlock with samsung codes) you have no chance (zero !) to simlock the device.
If the phone is unlock with a third-part software (like Voodoo Unlocker), an update to jelly bean will relock the phone.
Thanks to all Who Helped Me.
i have successfully updated my s3 to Jb 4.1.2 with Samsung Kies and without any single problem.
