Looking to step forward from the stock ICS rom that I have now. Because it is my wife's tablet, I can't do experiments with it and refix it every couple of days so, I am asking from you guys to suggest me a stable rom with good battery life. I will appreciate your help because this stock ICS is a battery drain sucker and the wifi isn't stable also.
Thanks for your help
Lior

I have used the FB_Revolution ROM for my P7500 for a long time and really liked it. Maybe you can give it a try.
Is it so, that if I want to install a custom rom it needs all those steps, recovery mode and so on, that there is no easy with odin to flash?
What about an ICS rom that has the battery drain fix integrated. I want a good working version with as little effort as possible, I can Odin but thats all.

Can you explain which version, style, or build you prefer? There are quite a few fast, stable and bug free (almost) ROMs out there..
Near to stock, I would go for dutty. Otherwise you can't go wrong with energy.

Yes, I would stick to that advice.
Dutty's ROMs are great 'close-to-stock' Roms and EnergyROMs are.. good for everything
Which ROM out there has the best support and the least flaws? I know none will be perfect but I would like a ROM that is fast, stable, and has optimal battery life. I know i could use the V6 Supercharger to make a ROM faster but I would like to know what ROM you guys recommend? Thanks
For the 10 billionth time: It's really up to you to figure this out. Considering that there's only 4 custom ROMs available (for the 7510), I think you are capable of doing the research yourself.

Which version are you using ?
"In Paris V5"IS LIVE! (KME) Wifi ONLY!
I´m rly happy with this one.
What the best stock Rom so far regarding smoothness and speed ?
Sorry for hijacking ur thread

I'm going to second the in paris v5, I just rooted and flashed and couldn't be happier. There is one clich that I found and that is on some web pages in browser it will not let you go back with the back arrows, small problem but so far the only one I see.
Task650 makes the best ROM.

check out the dev. forums, do a little research. If your asking you shouldn't be flashing roms really. All v6 supercharger does in most cases is mess things up
So avoid flashing supercharger? It doesn't take a computer genius to flash a ROM, I just don't have the time to flash every ROM and mess with it, thanks for the positive responses though.

I have yet to see any real proof that the supercharger script actually makes this thing better. I have flashed and run all of the different ROMs, and its really up to you as far as look and feel are concerned.
As far as support goes, I will say that Task and Phantom has been great in keeping us bug free, but I have not interacted with the other devs as much, and so I won't knock their Roms because I can't say what their level of support is.
Happy Flashing
Overcome is good too
I will say that I like both in Paris and Overcome. In Paris has a custom theme which I'm not fond of but you can install the touchwiz theme over it if you prefer. I like Overcome because it is the stock honeycomb theme.
It's really a rather personal choice so you do have to try more than one to decide.
Hi guys,
I cant decide which ROM i should put on my phone? Can you guys help me?
Which ROM can you guys recommend?
What is the most normal ROM you people put into your phones?
I am sorry I am a biiiig noob, who had a Iphone i the past 4 years.. Everything is new for me..
Can I just put on a new ROM, whotout thinking of my firmware?
Thanks a lot guys..
There is no general "best" rom.u need to try them out yourselves.
But good roms is (themed roms)checkrom, turkbey rom, omega rom or (stock look) foxhound rom, dragonice rebirth rom..
Or try cyanogen mod 9,aokp,miui rom, that is aosp rom build from sources(Google's original)
all is flashed from cwm(clockworkmod) recovery.
download galaxy s3 toolkit to your PC then u get easy access to root, backup, cwm recovery and guide on how to flash rom to your phone..
but read, read and read.. especially the OP on every rom u want to try..
good luck and have fun..
full charge icon and ongoing message
Hi,
Can anyone help me how to disable 100% full charge notification that anoy me very much. I have my phone all day in a desktop charger and I want to get rid of this.
Thanks
Unless you flash an aosp Rom like Cyanogenmod or miui there is not much different between them. Maybe a theme change but performance and functionality is pretty much identical amongst the touch wiz based roms.
Try a few and you'll see what I mean.

please use the search function, look at rom threads to get an idea. then try them
So I'm running the ATT official 4.1.2 and looking for the most stable 4.2.2 ROM. I have not rooted yet so I am looking for the best ROM possible, any pointers would be greatly appreciated, cheers!

You may want to read the Development Threads and see what other users have experienced.
I myself use Carbon with the Uber Kernel.

Thanks for the reply! I've been going through it. I am new to rooting and would want a nice ROM to go hand in hand with my Note. There are so many different ROMS making it very confusing! Is there a consensus on what the 'best' ROM is? Or could you explain to me the benefits of the one you are using and where I can get it? Thanks alot again.
You can get carbon under the Original Development Thread. It has had the least amount of reboots for me but there are many fine 4.2.2 ROMs offered here.
Asking for the "best" can start a flaming thread, since its very much a personal choice.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Ure most likely to get reboots in all 4.2.2 roms n most likely camera issues...until they release an official stable 4.2.2 rom then that'll be the rom u are looking for..to get less reboots I turn profiles off in settings n disable hw hardware layout...try that with any rom see what happens...

Best advice........read read read
As suggested by others look at development. It depends what YOU want or are looking for. Many 4.2 have issues. Mainly reboots. Some flicker in screen.
What i do is find rom that looks interesting in features to me. Then i go to end of thread and read backwards. Lets me know the more recent issues and if there are fixes or tweaks to compensate.
Lots of bells and whistles in 4.2 but sometimes we sacrifice stability.
Your choice........good luck and go slow.

In my own experience the most stable i717 4.2.2 rom is sons of android build 4, all other 4.2.2 roms I've tried where Awful for hot reboots and screen flickering. As always, make sure you do a full wipe before installing anything, happy flashing!

CyanogenMod 10.1.2 has been the smoothest ROM for me, with the best battery life. I use SD-Booster, Autokiller, and Greenify (apps) as well, which give me super speed, super smoothness, and eternal battery life.
Since this change, not a single reboot, screen flicker, or other Android 4.2 issue.
Now, as a long time XDA user, I know these types of threads are frowned upon...oh well.
Anyway, I just picked up a DNA as I'm seriously sick of Samsung and decided to get back to my roots and the company I loved for so long. The DNA has been out for quite some time and hence the reason I ask the question.
For the long time DNA users, what Sense rom gave you the best overall performance and battery life? You know...that old favorite of yours that you compare all new roms to. Android version and Sense version is not important to me. I'm just curious the rom name and maybe a kernel you used, if at all.
I want to play around with this device, so just looking for some input by those who have been with the DNA since the beginning.
Also, I'm on TWRP 2.7 if that matters. So, if it is suggest I change recovery before flashing your suggested rom, please say so.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may reply!

Thanks for the reply. I did flash the latest viper. Good roms. Always used viper on my Evo LTE back when I was on Sprint.
Any suggestions for a Sense 4+ rom? Can I even flash one since my DNA came with KitKat on it?

Yes you can flash one. The only one that I really liked on sense 4+ was viper. The old Rom is still around it's just way down there in the development thread or original dev thread I can't remember what one it's in. But it's around and it was very good when I used to run it.

Awesome. I'll take a look for it. I do enjoy Sense 6 (current Viper), but I'm having a urge to relive my EvoLTE glory days with some Sense 4+..
Thanks for the replies, Jaggar. I do appreciate.

I think battery life is also related to kernel. You can test some other kernel on your phone then some kernel may be good at battery life.
I actually ended up flashing the Viper Rom that still has the Sense 4+ and battery life had been awesome. I tried the latest, but just wasn't as good..maybe tonight I will try Sense 6 again with a kernel. Any suggestions?
