[Q] Battery won't charge, at all. - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

So today I bought a Xperia X10 mini, and installed all apps and stuff, and it works perfectly but has one flaw. It won't charge.
It just shut off at 2% battery and the battery won't charge. I didn't buy a new one, but I still do not know what might've caused such a thing. I can't take out the battery. I've even tried something like turning it on then going to shut down screen then canceling it and other stuff I've found on Google that supposedly work. But nothing works. I don't have an USB cable.

solutions
This is most likely a problem with the charger. Borrow from a friend a standard micro-USB AC charger and try to use it.
Hit the thanks button if I helped you. Sorry for bad english.

Battery Not Charging Occasionally?

Hi there,
I noticed that every fortnight or so, my battery would stop charging at all. Does anyone know the reasons for this? For example, I always leave my phone charging at night when i go to sleep. Sometimes, when i wake up in the morning, i discover that the battery has not charged at all, and i am left with about 13% to last me throughout the day.
This is most often caused by the cable. The best option in such cases is to buy a new one. Don't worry, they are cheap, and many phones have the exact same cable, you may even have another one at home.
And if you don't remove the picture from your signature, a moderator will do it for you, you may even get banned.

Are you using the wall charger or is the cable plugged into a computer?
Most operating systems have power saving features that will turn off USB ports when not in use (for example, when your phone isn't pushing data).
If it's a wall charger, check for any buzzing while it's plugged in. This could indicate a defective charger. Though, like the cable, the charger itself isn't all that expensive, either.

A healthy charger should make a high-pitched squeal when you put your ear to it. If it's defective, it'll sound like a lower-pitched buzzing or a humming.
A quick way to rule out the battery and phone would be to try charging it with another USB device and see if it charges regularly.
Luckily, the batteries for the O1 are cheap and abundant, and the charger can be had from anywhere.

Galaxy S II charger no longer working :s

I found out the other day that my mains charger has stopped working. I have no idea why or how, thinking it could be the phone itself, but it still charges on the usb cable that I leave plugged into my Xbox to charge instead. This is inconvenient because of the length of the wire and the slowness in which it charges.
Is there a solution to this or a little trick to get it to work? Because I have no idea why it's broken or not charging my phone.
Not the end of the world anyway because I found one on ebay for £3.49 which I'll get if I have no answer to this. Thank you in advance
Anyone?

Try a different charger. If you had to find one on eBay, I have to assume you don't have another handy. Borrow one from a friend or something. If it still charges via USB, it sounds as if the AC charger failed for some reason. 3 pounds for a new charger isn't that much.

Charger not working

Anyone have a charger problems? My charger cable works fine as it recognizes when its plugged into a computer, but the bottom part doesn't work. What's really weird is when I plug the dock and tablet in, it will pretend to be charging and completely drain the dock to fully charge the tablet.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "bottom part", do you mean the AC wall adapter?

Yeah that's what it should do, but mine doesn't charge at all. It just drains the battery on the dock and doesn't recharge at all. And I'm referring to the AC part

I noticed you posted this in WSG's thread...I was curious if you changed anything within the last two days? Rom or Kernel? if so, go back to what you were running two days ago (restore nandroid or whatever). Are you charging just the tablet with the AC? Try a different outlet? I guess you need to rule out all possibilities to see if it is actually the wall charger. Good luck!
I tried everything.. restored backup 15 days ago and everything.. but always the same - tried as well to charge my sgsII with the wall connectore there it works.. but on the usb cable I think there is the problem.. now I`ve ordered the wall connector and usb cable to replace it.. hopefully my result is correct on this issue..

Charger questions

Hey guys,
Just bought a prime online and it's already starting to give me problems; specifically, it doesn't seem to want to charge the dock/tablet.
Is this the standard charger everyone has? Searched Google and I see only the more rectangular one
Any help would be appreciated

That's the Nexus 7 charger. Did you buy it new or second hand?
Haha. Awesome.
And I got it 2nd hand off ebay
I'm not guessing that's why it's not charging fully? Aka barely charges only when turned on and never charges the dock

Yeah, they have different Amp and Voltage values which likely means your Prime isn't getting sufficient power from the adapter charge the tablet and dock. Drop the seller a message explaining you received the wrong charger adapter.
Good luck.
got this one from amazon because oem is sketchy at best. I only use this to charge my prime now since it fits the dock better and doesnt get as hot while charging

I've got that one too as a spare - but I don't have any problems with the original Asus charger either.

I figure it just gets too hot and there is the matter of wanting my usb cord to be intact when I need it. I think for 9 bucks its worth it.

I've got that one to, but I'm kind of reluctant to use it because when I do I get "extreme lag" and weird screen issues (non-responsive). It's probably just a bad unit though.

It's probably normal. I had a charging issue and thought it was the charger so I bought a new one, but it turned out I had to open the tablet to get it fixed. I don't get this issues with the oem charger so I just keep the other one as backup. Got scared it was sending power to the wrong pins but that's just paranoia I guess!

just ran a mini test of stock vs aftermarket charger. you are correct. the aftermarket charger makes the touch screen a lot more volatile than the oem charger. That said I dont really use it with the cord installed so I will probably continue to only charge it with the amazon cord and save my oem for flashing emergencies.
I picked up my backup cord the day after I plugged in my prime and nothing happened. not a good feeling.
Thought I'd share what happened with my charger.
Bought my prime about a month ago and was having issues with charging. Sometimes it would go into charging mode and other times it wouldn't. At first it appeared that I had to unplug the charger and let it rest before it would work.
FInally I found a bad connection between the charging block and the wall adaptor that slides on to the chargin block.
The 2 loop prongs that stick up out of the charging block seemed to be the problem.
I first tried to open up the loops a bit by using a small screwdriver to spread apart the loops, as they seemed a bit squashed. This didn't do it.
Then I pulled the prongs away from the charger block SLIGHTLY, snapped the wall adapter back on and its worked flawlessly since

[Q] How to charge tablet without charger?

I have a problem. I have an android tablet and yesterday it was charging and when I unplugged the charger it ripped everything from charger hole or whatever and it all stayed inside the charger and now I can't charge it. So, is there any way I can charge it? I have tried an app called wi fi charger and it doesn't work, also shake charger. Please help.

Well, I guess there is a way to charge the device if your device posses removable battery, you can get universal mobile charger buy paying few buck and if you can't remove the batter then I guess nope there isn't any other way out other than fixing the charger jack. :cyclops:

Yeah, I guess it is a good idea. You can try getting another spare battery and a universal mobile charger. So you can charge the two alternately. I get my old tablet battery a change from kingsbuying.com. So far so good.
