Use
*#197328640# in the dialer
and check option 8 for WB-AMR status
I am seeing:
WB-AMR SETTING: OFF
GSM WB : OFF
UMTS WB : OFF
Anyone on stock firmware able to change this?
I am using a rooted SGS3 with XLITE ROM and am wondering if the reason I am unable to change this is due to the modem/radio I am using
I'm on orange UK and the dialer number doesn't work for me.

any solution for this ???
Aloha did you managed to Activate it or did you just flasshed Orange Rom in your phone??
is there any way of activating this
I already posted the only solution I found a few weeks ago
The only answer I got was that it was not simple enough (people seems to always want a "one click" solution)...
So for now, there is 2 solution:
-find the post where I explain the step to follow
-wait for a simple solution from someone else
Did anyone get HD voice working??
Sotmax v14 custom rom enables hd voice (wb-amr) on All Networks Worldwide after first install..

Incredibly helpful.
Here is the actual post for those that can't find it.
Need to be rooted:
-find /system/csc/customer.xml file
-change the wb-amr settings in this file
-reboot
-check your wb-amr status
-if it is still "on", then backup all your data and perform a factory reset
-now your wb-amr status should be "off"

I'm not sure as well because it's been very long I used stock ROM.
Although I don't use blacklist function, but it's like I've seen it there before.

I'm still using CRv6 GB 2.3.6.
Under Settings/Call/Call Rejection is 2 options.
The first option is how to reject (I use Blacklist only).
The second one is Blacklists. Under this is the option, to block all unknown numbers. For me, that also includes (and blocks) all blocked or private caller id numbers.
I hope this helps you.

Call control works very good...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Black listing numbers on the operator side of things, if you block them through apps/CM9, first they won't truly be blocked (IE they will still be able to call you but your phone just won't allow the call to go through on its end) and second you will have to do it all over again when you change ROM etc. If you call up your provider and ask them to blacklist a number its a much better way.
Anyone using it for calls? It's not working for me on LI4. The "use for all calls" or "ask for each call" doesn't work, just calls from my regular cell number

So this is a known issue? Others are having it too? That's all I'm trying to figure out, if I am doing something wrong, or if everyone is just dealing with the issue.

You know I am referring to "google voice" the phone app for texting and making phone calls, not google now, correct?
I am having issue with Google Voice where it only works if I set the "Ask every time" if its set to "use for all calls" it just gives me a blank screen. I am on the latest JB (Omega V29)
I am having the same issue with the latest BTU official jelly bean for my i9300. Googlevoice works perfectly before when i was using ICS BTU. Perhaps we can extract the phone.apk from ICS and push it into JB? Would this work?
Anyone has phone.apk from ICS BTU?
First of all, thank you SGA for bringing us such a great ROM. One issue I've found, not sure if specific to AOKP or this ROM. I've noticed that no matter what I set for Custom app 1, the setting does not appear on the lock screen. All the other custom app #'s appear just fine. I have tried multiple lock screen options. I have the latest ROM for 9-20-2012.
EDIT: While searching, I've found that this is a known issue with some devices with AOKP

He has one post. I dont think he can post in the dev section yet.
As far as the lockscreen issue, I think that IS just an AOKP thing. Even on my phone, Custom App 1 doesnt show up. I just set the lockscreen style to 3 targets and use the right (unlock), left(app) and top(app). I dont even know where custom app 1 is supposed to show up at. Maybe its supposed to be the unlock spot, but thats kind of needed so it doesnt change it.
EDIT: I just confirmed this myself. Custom App 1 is meant for the right spot which is, by default, the unlock target. If you set another custom app spot as "unlock", the right spot will be available as custom app 1.
Just did that 5 seconds ago and was coming here to post it! Lol, way to beat me to it! Custom 1 is definitely unlock and once changed to a different one (8 for example) slot 1 is available...

Correct; I posted here because I can't post in the dev section yet. But since this is an AOKP specific question/issue, I think it is best fit here.

Hi after I have installed several apps , played with the input and phone languages, installed a new keyboard, and ultimatelly received this "unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" error the effects when I click on an icon on the screen are gone, the wavy effect is just not there and I have searched the whole phone for solution.
R: [Q] No effects when clicking on a desktop icon
The several apps right there might be a problem...or the rom is buggy (many are).
So tell us what rom it is, what android v, what apps youve installed that required root access.and if youve modded.any futher the rom or enabled mods already within the rom.

wavy effect? Are you talking about the ripple effect live wallpaper?

yes, and it's due to the ripple effect LWP

The rom is the standard one that I reckon comes with the phone.
I haven't had modified anything apart from installing apps and updates.
The phone is not rooted in any way. Nor have I modded or inserted into the rom.
I have updated to jelly beans. And the latest applications I have installed are koffice, swift key, poker stars, and I am quite sure I have been changing settings but nothing visual.

I would try a factory reset .

Some of them are, but some I have downloaded in a different way if you know what I mean. Hopefully I haven't caught a virus or something like that. Now, a factory reset will erase all my data right? And what else?

A factory reset is better than resetting a factory i guess....
Factory reset really seems best.
Just make a backup of your apps (use titanium backup) and then restore them
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
that's interesting, because as far as I know, the ripple effect on the desktop (not the lockscreen) is not included in the stock ROM. are you sure you're not talking about the lock screen? you can enable the ripple effect by going to Settings - lock screen
Yeh I am sure. I'm sure that it was there for some time after I have updated the os. Then again I have installed a great deal of software which I think had made my wavy effect disappear?!
And can I do a backup of the apps with no root access I don't think it's a good idea to play an expert and damage the phone beyond repair. Thanks!

Aye, what do I have to do? If you just give me a link to the most current method used, please.
The phone is gt-i9300 international. Thanks!
read the basics
I realise that. But there's a lot of people who suggested all sorts of different ways doing the same thing. All in all if you flash the rom solely don't it enables root privileges in a more effective fashion..? Thanks!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
R: [Q] No effects when clicking on a desktop icon
The most effective fashion is the most complete one, not how you do it.
If youre speaking of flashing through odin modified parts of the rom so you can gain root access..then yes thats what i did (just look it up on youtube, make sure you write galaxy s3 international (if international version) and android version of your rom).
If youre speaking of flashing a custom rom which comes with root access already unlocked, you need to have root for that.
Its easy you can find it on google or youtube. Best method for now (or perfectly working one used by the most people) is flashing some stuff through a programm for pc (or mac i think, but im not sure) called odin. Then i advise (once you have root) you boot into the phone and install from the play store rom manager. Thru this app you may install a new recovery (basically safe-partition of disc, think of it as a bios or firmware for a pc. What u need it for is to save ur ass if u f***k up your phone, or to make COMPLETE backup images of your device so that you may restore them later on. It can also be used to flash other recoveries and therefore replace itself, or flash other roms or kernels. Its a MUST HAVE for anybody with root)

use any method, it does not matter at all.
but rooting will not get your ripple effect back. If you said that you had it before you installed something, then factory reset
