About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

FAQ
FAQ and Tutorial
Q: I love Carbon but I don’t type in English. How can I change my default keyboard language to <insert your language here>?
A: The stock android keyboard in Carbon comes with the ability to download a variety of language packs. To change it go to Settings>Language & input>Android keyboard (AOSP) settings button>Input languages. Uncheck “use system language” and select the language that you would like to use.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Q: I see you guys make something called “Nightlies”. What are those?
A: Nightlies are experimental builds that are released each night with the latest features, and bug fixes, which keeps you up to date but may also be dysfunctional due to the adding a new features and code.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Q: How do I switch from my current ROM over to Carbon?
A: (These directions are assuming you are already rooted and have installed a recovery manager, preferably TWRP)
(1.) Decide whether you would like to use the stable release version of Carbon, or whether to use the nightly version of Carbon
(2.) Once you have decided, download the correct file of Carbon for your specific device using the goo app on your phone or from the goo website (make sure you know your device’s codename)
(3.) Download the corresponding GApps file using goo app on your phone or from the goo website (20130301)
(4.) Make sure you know where both files are on your phone’s sd card and then reboot to recovery
(5.) MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP of your current ROM so you have something to go back to in case anything goes wrong
(6.) If you are switching to Carbon from another ROM, you must do a full wipe before flashing Carbon, please follow these steps to wipe: Factory reset, wipe system partition, wipe cache and dalvik once more.
(7.) Now once everything is wiped, flash the Carbon zip you downloaded and then IMMEDIATELY after flash your GApps zip.
(8.)(Optional) If you have a custom kernel you would like to flash, flash it now.
(9.) Reboot your device and allow it a few minutes to startup, it may take some time on first boot.
(10.) You’re all done. Enjoy using Carbon!

*/
Q: What is “dirty” flashing?
A: Dirty flashing is when you do not wipe any of your data or the system partition before flashing a newer version of Carbon.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Q: I am using the stable version of Carbon, can I switch over to the nightly builds (and vice versa) without clean wiping?
A: If you are already running Carbon you can switch over to any version of Carbon by dirty flashing (unless directly stated that a wipe is required in the changelog).
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Q: If I am already running Carbon, do I have to reflash GApps every time I dirty flash the newest updates?
A: No, Carbon has a built in script that backs up the system partition and will reapply your GApps automatically when you flash the newer version of Carbon.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Q:How do I update my version of Carbon?
A: If you are already running Carbon and would like to update to the latest version, you can simply dirty flash the newest version on top of your current setup (unless otherwise stated in the changelog).

Good luck!

Well the most members are from Liquid team
It has so much great things, like backup of scripts or gapps
See changelog ! Everybody has its favourite, I hope this rom will be yours
A couple of questions, currently I'm on JB stock:
- What is the battery performance of your ROM?
- Can you use any kernel or should use only the one that comes with the ROM?
- If Kernel cant be changed, do you have the options to amplify the sound like the Dorimanx Kernel have?
(personally this is the most important thing because the audio in the S2 is very low)
Thanks for your answer.
well....lets see......I will add it to my 1st slot now for testing purpose ....
but...ma8 ....after seen screenies it look almost like RB tho..........anyways....just a [Q]= is it compatible with doris masterpiece?...
And you could add a bit more info about ROM itself.......features...etc...eh?...
I saw features list in site...but it'd be nicer if everyone could read it here....:highfive:...
Keep up the good work team!

Hi, Thx for new thread.

Can you tell this to the carbon from Facebook and hope he is not angry longer about me.
One question.

Mate, thanks for a new thread.
Hope to see you here more times, because the last dev barely appears on his thread.
Keep up with the good work, we are here to help and give some ideas.
So, i'm asking if you can include an "data/app" in your rom, because when i flash a new rom, i always include this.
All i have to do is:
- Extract zip to my PC
- add data/app on rom's root;
- copy all my apps to there;
- go to meta-inf and add in update-script:
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p10", "/data");
package_extract_dir("data", "/data");
Re-zip the rom
This allows me always include my applications in the rom....so if you think it's a good idea you can add this feature at futures roms.
Dev ,the old dev was angry of facebook and I can not make a comment.please steve stevens on facebook make me on!!
When come more works to future for this great rom I give a donation today!
Please make on facebook steve stevens on start !?:thumbup:

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat.
A2: CM is not AOSP and neither are any of the CM-Based ROMS. You may not realize the differences but trust us the differences are real and don't make adding every option as easy as if we were based off of CM like every other "AOSP" rom available. Take this as a stab at those who claim to pull AOSP source but really just pull CM because it's easier. Sure we use CM, but it's because AOSP doesn't and probably never will support the s4 or any devices we make this ROM for.

A Note about the Team OctOs GApps
We in Team OctOs believe in choices. We believe in leaving the fundamental decisions about your phone to you.
In that spirit, Team OctOs gives you options for your GApps experiences. While kitkat GApps package should work, we offer you the choice of using some of the same GApps packages that we use ourselves, and leave the choice up to you.
You can find our Team OctOs GApps packages here, and break down into the following types:
GPe - Google Experience
Regular GPe GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced GPe GApps
AOSP
AOSP GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced AOSP GApps
The Dalvik-Enhanced packages are NOT ART compatible. If you plan to run ART, don't use those.

We will only update the DevDB with Stable Releases, whenever possible. This means that the DevDB may be behind non-milestone releases. If you have an issue with compulsive flashing, or feel the need to live 'life on the edge of brick', we invite you to follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter. Any dailies that can be released, we will release there. Please note, we pull these releases after a day or two, so if the latest link posted there is empty, simply wait until the next one.

While we are certainly not requiring donations or money. But donations of money or devices will certainly speed along development. We plan to purchase and build 3 identical servers to be able to handle the work load of building our ROMs. Hosting, Electricity, and Parts alone are out of pocket at this point. But we love what we do. So, if you feel led to send us a device(even old ones you've moved on from, or new ones) or small donations towards our server project we'd be extremely appreciative. Contact @Dubbsy for device donations. He will make sure they get to each team member as needed. Thanks to all the users who make it feel like we are doing something that people enjoy!

Our team was assembled as a result of some developers that would not donate their invaluable knowledge when called upon for help. Both Dubbsy and I(treken) decided to join forces and create our team so that we could work together and surpass any challenge that we were presented with in the whole scheme of development. We've added people as we saw fit who all have the same attitude and mindset that we have.
The name was derived from the Latin word "octo" or Greek word "okto" meaning "eight/8". Eight is numerically symbolic for new beginning, and so we wanted to start a new team with a new attitude towards development. We feel that by producing a stable ROM that the user will be able to rely on OctOS for their daily.

Our mission statement is simple. REAL AOSP base. Google Play Edition Layout if so desired by using the GPE GApps. AOSP GApps also available for the purists. With the settings you all know and love hidden away in our own setup called OctSettings under Development Settings hidden to keep the look of AOSP. We call this REAL AOSP+GPE+OctSettings=OctOS
Enjoy Friends!

Aroma has been put on hold until we get the ROM exactly how we want it and start getting it ported to all the other devices.
The aroma interface is my major part here. If you have aroma specific questions direct them at me like this
@hlxanthus I have [insert issue here] and here is how to duplicate, and here is the aroma log and/or recovery.log

Yep, all carriers will be built in one zip. Sprint and Verizon are the only ones fully setup right now. @Grommish & @agat63 are on Sprint. The rest of us are Verizon users.
And a version of this has been on all our phones for awhile. It's stable for us. :good:
Thanks Dubs, and the others that made this possible!!! Dling now!

what seperates this ROM from the other AOSP roms? Is it AOSP or CM source? What features are included if any? Linaro -03 compiled?
Not trying to be disrespectful just curious about the differences?

The goal is to remain as true to AOSP as possible. Right now the stock rom is just AOSP made to run on the GS4 varients. Right now, features are only what is added via aroma; apps, xPosed, different cameras, etc. We are striving to duplicate the Google Edition from an AOSP source. Later a modified AOSP will become available, and become an alternate aroma option

It's built from mostly the latest (4.3_r3.1) AOSP source. The source that isn't AOSP is because AOSP doesn't support the gs4 or its chipset. Those components are pulled from CM. We've been working on integrating Google/Samsung released Google Play Edition source also. Some has been fully integrated and some haven't. @Treken could answer the question about linaro better than I can.
Other reasons it's different are already posted...

So what is the OctOS kernel vs the stock 4.3?

OctOs comes with 3 kernel options.
1) Stock 4.3
2) Elite Kernel
3) AOSP Kernel from Agat63
Elite and Agat's Kernel are OC/UV'able and other tweaks (hotplug'ing CPU cores, etc)
Just booted this ROM for the first time, nice touch with the boot animation! I'll be sure to report any bugs I come across.
EDIT: During setup, instead of displaying networks, it says "to see available networks, turn Wi-Fi on."
EDIT2: After skipping most of the setup I'm unable to enable Wi-Fi.

This ROM is based on CM 10.2 and made from MoKee Open Source Built With Linaro 4.7

* spontaneous combustion, or any other host of cosmic penalties
* which may befall you, your family, or your phone.

MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP and CyanogeMod project. The source code is updated frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features at the same time.
The Mfunz Forums launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better.
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development. Newcomers are always welcomed!
Official website: http://www.mfunz.com
Types of Releases:
MoKee OpenSource has 4 kinds of releases: official release, beta, nightlies, and unofficial builds.
Official release: This version is tested throughly by developers and users, so it is the most stable build
Beta: When a device is newly added, there will be beta versions for testing, but there might be unknown bugs and problems
Nightlies: Nightlies are compiled automatically by servers, so it will have the latest features but beware of uncompleted works
Unofficial builds: These builds are compiled from source or ported by non MoKee developers
Official Releases:
MoKee Open Source supports many devices, but the developers may not have all devices in hand, so if there are device maintainers that can help out, the official releases will be decided by them, MoKee Open Source will only maintain the nightlies to ensure the usability of the ROM. However, for devices with no device maintainers, MoKee Open Source will decide when to release official builds or nightlies. Therefore, if you have a device maintainer, please get the official releases from your respective device maintainer's thread or nightlies from MoKee Open Source.

Yup.
My initial review is that the rom isn't too shabby. It's essentially CM with more features. Not too much, but enough. I like the active display. Keep up the great work! :good:

I'm using the ST version. After install I just used the APN settings I've been using (wap.tracfone) that are listed on their website. ROM is running smooth. Thanks for the port.
Sent from my SGH-959G using Tapatalk 2
I installed the rom and I use ST on the i777. Data seemed to work fine as did calls. The roms seems to be pretty solid. Only issue I noticed was trying to open the performance menu. It would FC. I only had it installed for a limited time but it does seem to run pretty well.
Works very nice. I'm loving the animations so much!
The only issue is the FC of the performance menu.
Which I could move more apps to the sd card too.

This was the same issue I had when I ported it to the precedent must be a ROM issue
For the performance control issue download this http://d-h.st/32a and copy it to system/app and set permission to 0644 and reboot,, sorry forgot to add it to the device tree to build
Hmm... it seems the majority of themes won't work. They keep crashing everything.
Also, tried to Refund an app from the Playstore and when it started uninstalling the app, the ROM just crashed and got stuck at the logo. Just minor bugs but will try the Performance fix.

What's Broken:
HALO's "Hide when inactive" function isn't working properly (sends the HALO bubble completely out of sight)
Please report all other bugs experienced here.
How to flash:
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
Flash-freeze the ROM & GApps at the coldest temperature possible! (flash as usual, hehe)

Lol, I downloaded one yesterday, would try to port! Thanks!
Here's the story...
First,I couldn't flash it with BMM,there was an "error 6",so I replaced the META-INF folder, flashed the rom + Banks standard gapps and after the bootanimation first screen was "system ui has stopped" and I couldn't press "ok" button or do anything else...
I wiped system 2 again and this time I flashed the rom + Slim minimal gapps.
I had a "system ui" error again but I waited a little and then I could press ok.
I finished the wizard process and I installed the Herathon theme, but when I want to apply it I had a soft reboot, every time...
I'm back to LS for now...

I flashed it with the minimal gapps (just the play store and play services from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/standard-minimal-gapps-t2012857 ) and it booted without any problem. The screenshots I posted are the ones I took form my Razr Maxx itself. Just try recreating the system and then flash just the rom, then the gapps.
Did anyone else face such an issue????
I just flashed it again and installed the theme. It did soft reboot but it worked
XT912 CDMA Spyder / RAZR
Looks like an interesting ROM, I would really like to see you add support for the xt912 CDMA RAZR.

I don't want to switch to SS but I will try one more time with those minimal gapps.
What do you mean by "flash just the rom, then the gapps"?
Flash the rom, boot the system and then flash the gapps or flash both and then boot?

Rom seems operational, however i am very picky. On a scale of 1-10 on acceptable or not as a daily driver i give it a 5 or 6 depending on who is asking.Nice work . I am sure there is other bugs however I don't got time atm to fiddle around much sorry.
Bug report for me so far: Cannot send MMS videos via rom messenger app.Says limit has been reached, meaning to big of a video.I have not tested other messenger apps on play. Also during a phone call the roms phone app does not input users voice when trying to have a conversation via speaker phone.I can hear them however they cannot hear me.

The mms is a problem with all cm based roms. Try using hangouts instead that should solve all the problems
I'm not facing any issue with the speaker phone. This is actually a pretty neat rom

I am wondering does the speaker phone issue have anything to do with installing the audio themes?Because i did not install any audio themes.I would not know why a theme would have anything to do with speaker phone not working. But one thing i know for certain my speaker phone works on stock JB and on this rom it does not, i also double checked just to make certain i was correct before replying again.
Flashed it few hours ago and been "torturing" the phone since, so far everything works perfect, fast, smooth and stable. See some guys having issues with MMS, it works fine for me, without any additional settings.Would try with JBX tomorrow, but from my experience, only one rom that worked perfectly with JBX was Liquid Smooth, on my device at least. Every other rom had issues with JBX, making the phone unusable as a daily driver.
Keep up the good work!
Any chance for spyder support? Also what is smart phone call setting listed in the op?

1) Yes, it is called EXPERIMENTAL, its basically Nightlys Status, but build weekly, so we decided to call it EXPERIMENTAL. It is pretty stable right now though, however there are always some issues you could come across, like currently there are some reports about issues with adding QuickSettings Tiles, but we are going to look into that.
2) Yes, you should be able to.

Nice Rom and combination
But why you do not have a other kernel?
At this kernell there are no dalvik cache....
And if you add kernel where the app Synapse work, its better I think
1rst try :
dirty flashed only to see the recovery : cyanogen recovery "in da house"
dont wory guys, it worked to flash this 'signed' rom as all 'signed' stuff you can found .
2nd try : FLASHED it with wipe data/factory reset + open gapps pico 20151024 (i want this one as always) + xposed
and.............the rom finaly booted fine without any trouble. (87 app optimized)
lets see if i can easily port my translucent/transparent RRO theme to the CM theme engine
thanks for the "experimentation" @Myself5
i will surely not try other flash on it for now i think.
ha , xpose i use is xposed-v75-sdk22-arm

i see now i need to change 'linker' to enable screencast software i use.
dont need other kernel for me. wont you try the rom too ?
stock screen recorder stucked the rom
little tweak on recovery, scrolling all menu top to down or down to top more than 4/5 times change the colors of recovery menus to raimbow colors (like in dorimanx kernel too)

I asked the two things because I use Slide2Wake (reason for kernel) and I ALWAYS showcase my KLWP works (reason for screen record). If the two works, I am a happy guy enough. :good:
Also asked first, since I only have a GB plan, and don't wanna waste downloading the whole ROM without the primary features I look first. I can live with other bugs but missing those aren't cool for me.
So, if I correctly interpret your post, it works, yes?
Edit: Just saw your post. That's sad

A Kernel does not change a partition label, (dalvik cache is actually a folder on the data partition), and the dalvik cache is at no point related to the kernel itself (thats a ROM thing). Anyways, welcome to lollipop, where dalvik is not a thing anymore anyways Lollipop uses the Android Run Time (or short: ART).

Proper Issue Reporting
Make sure you are seeing the issue on a CLEAN install! If the problem pops up after a dirty flash, wipe data/factory reset and see if it still happens before reporting it
Make sure you have not flashed anything extra, such as 3rd party kernels, SuperSU, Magisk, Xposed, etc. These extra packages can cause their own issues. As above, try a full wipe and then only flash the ROM package and Gapps package, and see if the issue persists before reporting
In your report please include the following:
Issue you are seeing, and how to recreate it
Logcat/kmesg from right after the issue if possible

As far as an update schedule goes, I will TRY to do weekly builds with the latest commits. I will also TRY to pull in pending commits when possible, assuming I can get them to build.
this is pretty good news I will try to get this installed this weekend thanks for keeping this phone alive
I also installed this ROM and will do some testing. So far what I have tried, voice, data, GPS have worked as expected. It also connects with my Asus smart watch. I will continue to test things out and provide feedback as appropriate. BTW BT phone audio is not working as noted on OP. If that is corrected this would be my daily driver. Thanks to the dev for the work on this Note 3 ROM!

I've tried two BT headsets the 6xxPlantronics and Motorola H19txt. They both work fine on Nougat ROM including AOKP and they also work with LineageOS 15.1 on the Note 4. I have also paired it with my car's BT Hands Free system with the same results. In all cases BT is seen and used for phone audio however, there is initially some white noise followed (after about 5 seconds) with silence.

Alright,I'll do some testing this weekend. I have a Plantronics Legend headset. It works perfect with AOKP Oreo on my LG g3. I'll test on my wife's Note 3 this weekend and see what I get.
Decided to make the jump!
Hooray for O.R.E.O.!
I was able to do an easy upgrade and so far its running along but had a few observations...
1. Do we not have to "allow instillation from unknown sources" under 'security' anymore?
2. GPS, DATA, CELL all working well. Will test bluetooth with my fitbit and speakers later today.
3. I am using Nova Launcher. I would like to put in a calendar widget, but it says "problems loading widget" no matter what widget I use. Google Calendar, Calendar Widget, and Chronos all not working. Chronos says it does not have OREO support anymore. Can anyone recommend a nice transparent calendar widget?
4. Hotspot Works... YAY!!
5. When trying to select my quick setting tiles, I can of course edit what I want to have appear. However, when I select to edit additional choices, the additional options are white on a white background so kinda hard to see.
I will be happy to provide logcats anyone is interested. But be advised. I am still unable to update my baseband from NC5 to PL1. But I dont think that has anything to do with the minor errors I am getting.
My thanks to all! And I will be happy to help further test this ROM if there is anything I can do, just ask!

YAY!!

1. Installation from unknown sources is now handled like Nougat/Oreo permissions: on an app-by-app basis as each app tries to install an app from unknown sources. You will be prompted to give permission for it. For example, my Amazon app had an update yesterday, and when I hit install it prompted me to give Amazon permission to install from unknown sources.
2. Awesome to hear. Let me know how bt goes.
3. That must be a Nova issue. I run Apex, and I was able to add a calendar widget (from Google Calendar), with no issue. To be fair, I am also using an LG G3 right now, though I can't imagine that would make a difference, since I built the hlte and d855 builds back to back.
4. Good to hear. I haven't tested hotspot.
5. We are still ironing out some issues!

So... more good news! Paired with my Fitbit just fine, also paired with my stereo and speaker

I also tried the Trebouchet launcher that came with the ROM and it was acting weird too. Seems to be that the Analogue clock will post but not the digital one. Also size changes seem to prevent the digital clock from working
The voice input doesn't seem to be working as part of the keyboard. It does work for Google Assistant though...

Not at all. I need someone to find all these little bugs, lol. I haven't tried voice input, I don't have much use for it, tbh. I'll do some digging this weekend, and see what I find in testing.

Dig away! So I decided to load the Nugat ROM on my phone and I see that the Clock/Calendar applications work fine with Nova Launcher. As to the voice issue I think it is my fault. I need to "enable voice typing" on the system. I did so with Nougat and it works just fine.
I would love to play a deeper role with compiling and code writing but I am still way too much of a noob but happy to do my part. I am a fairly heavy "power user" of almost all the systems so I give this GREAT phone a good workout.
I even use the infra red. Peel remote seems to be working......

Alright guys, I have been doing some digging into @trader418 and I can't find anything in particular that helps the rotation bug. In his unofficial Lineage 14 thread, he mentions some cm/los updates that fixed the rotation issues, but doesn't mention the exact commit. Also, it sounds like those changes should already be in these builds, since AOKP's hlte device trees, and kernel source, are forked from LineageOS trees. And I do make sure to pull in the latest LOS changes. So I am still stumped on the rotation bug. On to better news. I have just finished a new build, with the latest AOKP changes synced in. I also pulled in some open commits that add customizable header image support. Along with a few open commits from LOS, mostly to do with phone call audio, so hopefully that may help with BT issues. I am going to do some personal testing before I upload, so be patient, new goodies are on their way!
New Release!
Alright guys, I have a new build up at the download link in the OP. For this build, I pulled in some LOS changes that deal with phone call audio routing, which could help with bt phone audio issues, and I also enabled an overlay that may help with the rotation bug. The overlay was discovered by @stonedead so a HUGE thanks to him! I may have never discovered the overlay on my own. I also have included pending AOKP commits to add customizable header images. This build also includes all of the latest AOKP commits that have been merged, including fixes and some tweaked features. As always, I upload a changelog with all of the commits pulled in since the last build, so detailed information on the changes between the 4/23 build and todays build can be found there.
I HAVE NOT had a chance to personally test this build! As I have mentioned before, my only test phone is my wife's daily driver, and if she is busy using it, not much of a chance for me to test lol. With that being said, there shouldn't be any major bugs introduced in this build.
Changelog:
Changes to phone call audio routing, may help BT phone audio issues
New overlay that may help with auto-rotation bug
Customizable header images
Full changelog available at download link
Thank you for your ongoing efforts but unfortunately the BT phone audio on my n900p has not changed. The BT headphone is seen by the system and pairs just fine. In phone app the BT headphone is also seen. However, when making a call the earpiece only produces white noise slowly decreasing in volume to silence. The person on the other end of the connection hears nothing...
[SOLVED] Control Backlighting.
I seem to recall someone having problems with their backlights on the menu and 'back' button. I had it too until i went to SETTINGS> BUTTONS>HARDWARE KEYS...
Just toggle them off and back on then the buttons should respond to your desired preference...
As a side note... I wrote earler about using Clock and Calendar displays in NOVA launcher and they just don't seem to work... but they work fine in Apex Launcher which is free and very similar to NOVA..
Keep up the GREAT ROM! Thank you for the snack jump from KitKat to Oreo!

New Release!
Hey guys, new builds are up. Nothing major with these builds, some minor changes to QS Header image support, and scrollable QS Tiles. The big news with this release is
Wait for it...
Wait some more...
Builds for hltechn/hltekor/hltetmo!!!
I have NOT tested these builds! I don't have access to anything other than hlte, so PLEASE test these builds if you have the device! And let me know what you find!
The info and download links for the new builds can be found on my main thread
I will give the new build a try tonight!
Unfortunately I had the hotspot function working, and then it stopped. I will get the nerve to Odin the PL1 update and then see if that fixes the problem...
Can we just dirty flash the new builds? Do we need to re flash GAPPS as well? I tired doing that and it would crash out so I had just dirty flashed the new build without GAPPS and without wipe of cache which seems to work better for me..
Thank you for keeping this build alive!!

Dirty flashing is ok. The only caveat with dirty flashing is, if you run into issues, wipe and clean flash to see if that fixes the issue BEFORE reporting the problem.
As far as GApps, you don't need to reflash GApps on a dirty flash. In theory, reflashing GApps shouldn't hurt, since it should remove existing GApps before installing. However, if you have updated any of the GApps through the playstore, and you flash and older GApps build, you will downgrade the app in question, which may cause issues.
I hope that makes things clear as mud!
TL;DR:
Dirty flashing is ok, as long as you clean flash BEFORE reporting issues.
On a dirty flash, no need to flash GApps again.
