Hey Everybody,
I think this sounds crazy, but I think I had a star wars ringtone that was causing my phone to reboot upon recieving incoming calls. Does that seem crazy? I wiped and flashed ViperXL+ 1.2.6 and 1.2.7 at least 5 times each (I thought it may have been 1.2.7 update, at first), then I removed the ring tone, and it's stopped rebooting.
I tried the same ring tone on my HOX (I have a hox and hox+) running Liquid Smooth ROM, and it's not had the same issue, so, I don't know if it's something particular to ViperXL+ rom, or if it isn't in fact the ring tone, or if it was a corrupted download in the ringtone that was causing the reboots???
Can someone try the star wars theme music on Zedge and confirm this possibly?
Thank you.
Ran for four days on 1.2.6 without a restart. Flashed to 1.2.7 and I've ran into the same issue again. So, it wasn't the star wars ringtone.

I have tried the availabe cm7 roms, all give me the phantom ring. It starts out as a single ring before the phone rings. Then gradually after a few more calls are recieved will ring constantly while the call is in progress. I wipe all 3 before installing, but it persists. I have tried stock and glitch kernel with the same results. What am I doing wrong, or what can I do to stop this from happening.

"What am I doing wrong"
"what can I do to fix this"...
Nothing and nothing! that is a known issue with cm7 and jt said he won't be doing anything to fix it until we get an official gb leak so for now its hurry up and wait....Sorry but we are all in the same boat.

I have a possible bug that i have not figured out how to fix. Whenever i receive a call, my phone only rings for about five seconds then goes silent even though a call is still coming through. I have not noticed anything in settings that might effect this. Any ideas? I'm on passion v11.

Clear phone cache and pick a different ringtone.

One every 4.2.2 ROM I've notice that once an incoming call comes through the phone will ringer for about 3 seconds then the ringer goes out and continues to vibrate. I saw another post where someone said the issue is custom ringers but I'm using the stock sounds. Any idea how to fix this?

I don't have an issue with my ringers. I have custom ringers (mp3's), and system ringers (ogg's) and they all work and play for the duration of the rings. I have them all moved to my internal memory. Maybe that helps?
I'm currently on Paranoidkangdroid and I use to be on SOA, and FJ's with no issues either.

I never moved my stock sounds so they should be on the internal storage. Strange. I'm on slimbean now but its happen on other ROMs.

I am having the same problem and find it to be ROM agnostic. I have tried several different ROMS including JellyBam and Slimbean with the same problem of one ring & multiple vibrations.
The only thing I can think to try is to take the current preferred ringtone and, using an audio editor, create a new ringtone by copying the ringtone and paste it over & over (a few times) to create one longer ringtone.

I finally looped a ringtone using an audio editor. I looped it six times with 1.5 seconds silence between each ring and you cannot tell the difference between it and a properly cycling ringtone.
Would rather it worked properly, but this work around will do the trick.
Every time I start up Apollo and choose a song, it just freezes. I have to force stop it, then it works again. The reason why I'm requesting help is because this screws up my alarm in the morning too, the alarm crashes because it can't play the song. It worked perfectly fine on version 2.2 of the ROM.
Go back to 2.2 Sometimes one thing can be fixed but 2 may break in the process.
Have you tried the non inverted to see if it works there?

Has anyone had this problem? I'm running the newest android version, stock rooted. Is there a fix?
I get this a lot. It's when my girl says "hello" is when I know the call connected. Viper rom.
