Hey guys I'm thinking about changing from free x10 beta 4 to cyanogen 6.1.3 and I just wanted to know does cyanogen support over the air updates via rom manager and does it work? Also which is better?

Cynagen works but I checked cm updater it says 6.13 is an old version. Also I am not sure will cynogen update over. Air will work Cox cynogen doesn't,t officially support X10

Cyanogen is much better. I have tried both and the cyanogen is more customizable and runs smoother. I also have less bugs with cyanogen.

I found the rom mod cyanogen smooth unstable with the original rom (free beta4). almost all come from rom 2.2 beta4.
Thanks Guys. But I heard that X10 beta 4 runs much faster. Exactly what is the difference between the two. Like what can I do on cyanogen that I can't do on free x10
guys currently ALL froyo roms are derivatives/mods of the FreeX10 rom by Z...
cyanogenmod is for adding additional settings/modifications to the freex10 rom... its an addon for those who like extra tweaking...
I wanted to know if anyone tried it and if it was a good rom?
I've been using CM7, which is basically CM6 except Gingerbread. And besides not having camera and YouTube, it is better than any rom I've used so far.

Is there any working 2.3.x custom rom that highly stable besides MIUI, truth is, I hate MIUI because it's looks a lot like iPhone UI. I f***ing hate iPhone. Help Plz...
nothing terribly stable yet.
jerpelea's 2.3.3 AOSP is pretty dam stable atm, so you could give that a go
Rdannar's 2.3 ROM is awesome too. He just got video streaming working too.

Why not just theme the miui rom or use a different launcher? Lol
Hey there! I'm currently using Galnet MIUI v2.11.26 stable, which is based on ICS, on my galaxy s2. I was wondering what the difference between Galnet MIUI and the normal MIUI is. Is MIUI more stable than Galnet, COz i dont like galnet all that much. Thanks
Tried both galnet miui & miui.us and other custom miui roms. The only differences between galnets and the original I've seen so far are the android version and that galnets miui uses some custom apps like video.. They both have the same battery consumption (crap) and overall the same features minus galnet having screenshot in notification toggle

Miui hasn't got a stable version for s2.... Only the developer edition...

Ive noticed that glanet does not have that wierd 3g bug which miuiandroid had.
Which one do you like? CyanogenMod/ MIUI/ Replicant/ OMGB or stock?
P.S: You can add your opinions, ideas, etc.
Anything other than stock.

I like MIUI, I've tested MIUI Spain and MIUI Scotland.
The last one is very, very good but these days is closing :-(
Now I'm looking for a good on to my SGS (GT-I9000). Any recommendation?
MIUI for customisation and look.
CM for speed and performance
stock for stability.
each one has its own + and - . so its all personal preference.

MIUI, but I'm currently on ICS stock because the MIUIv4 ports for my device are buggy as hell. I just wish stock had the icon consistency/theming that MIUI has, its the only thing I miss.

Currently CyanogenMod, because of my Xperia X8 is not supported by MIUI and Stock crashes a lot. So CyanogenMod. I actually use a ROM based on CyanogenMod called GingerDX by Doixanh, because of the stock CyanogenMod wants FreeXperia kernel and errors occurred when I was doing it (actually I was trying to flash NobodyAtAll's nAa kernel) and I tried on my Galaxy 5 (now it is my sister's)(Galaxy 5= GT-I5500), it worked after flashing the correct baseband on ODIN Multi Downloader.
I would go with MIUI if there was a working from with no bugs. So atm I'm using ICS

I love CyanogenMod which I was using in my previous phone....but unfortunately they didn't make a port for SGS+ yet!!! Hope they will make one soon!!

What ROM do you use on your Nexus One?
Another vote for CM due to it's tweakability.
Personal favourites can be found only by testing, testing and testing.
I'd try CM, but it requires an unlocked bootloader, which voids warranty, and disables me from using OTA updates. :/
Same reason as Mattyas: Tweakability.
I like CM to, but unfortunately they didn't make one yet for alcatel ot-990 :-(
I have used it on my Tattoo that I had and it was great. I am still searching for at least some customisations that are on cm.

MIUI = Customizable and better redesigned look.
CM7 = Stock Android look (with exception of Theme Chooser themes) but greater performance and stability.
CM7 always ran much smoother and faster for me but I always loved MIUI's UI. I stick with CM7 just because it is always stable and reliable. HTC Passion (Google Nexus One).
hv tried stock based,cm based n miui based roms for sometime. all of them hv been stable n gud.
but i like miui cos of its customisation. each themes gives a new look to my fone. m jus lovin it

I have used all three types and I have liked things from all of them and found fault in all the same. It all just came down to what I liked the most for what I wanted/needed.
I use mainly MIUI as I love the thousands of custom themes that are easily mixed and matched.
In the end it is always up to what you feel is the right one for you. The best advice I can give you is to try each one for a week and after that you should have a good idea of which one is best for you.
one do you like? CyanogenMod/MIUI
MIUI. I haven't updated to MIUI v4 because I like the theming too much, and there aren't many themes compatible with MIUI ICS.
I've actually been on MIUI for almost a year.

Stock on my Xperia X8 Crashes, Original MIUI doesn't support X8 (There are ports on XDA for X8) and I have tried MIUI on My Uncle's HD2 (but not MIUIv4) (he is not from blood, just for respect and he works at my dad's office) and CyanogenMod wants FreeXperia Kernel and I am using a ROM Called GingerDX, which is based on CyanogenMod 7.1 (and available for the Stock Kernel). So currently CyanogenMod, reasons: Tweaks, themes, etc. (I just like it).
P.S: If I was unfair, then I'm sorry.
