@ OP no hard feelings towards you, its just to maintain forum clean.
Here's your answer- do not connect phone in software upgrade mode, connect the phone normally, then flash kdz, the software tool will automatically take u into soft upgrade mode. but now!!!!! im stuck on the align screen it doesnt listen to my taps, if i move my fingers all over the screen it eventually pick it up but it isnt accurate enough so keeps restarting the test align session... HELP PLEASE i have meetings comming up and need this phone
i can get into boot loader mode but when i connect phone to laptop it doesnt connect active sync while in bootloader mode...
can i skip this screen align somehow
You are not suppose to upgrade the EXEC with the ROM .
Check out the WIKIPEDIA ATOM solutions page for assistance.
I think therz a way to get back to the ORIGINAL ROM , ask a SENIOR for help also search the forums for older posts , i remember someone with ths same problem as yours
really? i just ran the utility here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333165
without making any changes to it
how do i go back to original pleaseeee help someone... if i got in boot loader mode and run the same upgrade utility (as linked above) it lets me click upgrade but then quickly says connection failed and then my bootroom reads:
"please use DSUU in OS mode and sync with PC first!!!
where do i get original and how do i do it please... maybe there should be a sticky for stuff ups like this
wow no one is kind enough to help... ive tried this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=331818&page=1
but it freezes on 6% and i took the advise read in the wiki to hard reboot then run DSUU , and it does the same thing (stuck at 6%)
well now i have the wm5 starting but its stuck again on the tap the screen? ignoring my taps...
could it be my screen is stuffed? although it worked before the flash
okay !!! progress!!!! ....'
ive finally called o2 and put their rom and it works to a certain point, the align screen detects my taps but it just keeps repeating over n over n over asking me to keep taping around the screen???
Hard Reset
I think hard reseting it once should solve the issue...........if it doesn't try reflashing it once again.....worked for me............brute force is needed sometime
no i figured its screwed my digitzer somehow so im asking for calibration data in other post
hi everybody, I'm new in customizing my android phone and this time I tried to update my GT-S5570 to Gingerbread 2.3.4 from samfirmware.com using ODIN
the only problem is that I'm not a patient person and after 13 minutes of staying in step 2 (QCSLIB or something like this) of the process I closed ODIN, unplugged my phone, took out the battery and tried to restart the process, but didn't succeed because the phone wouldn't boot, neither download mode, nor recovery mode, nor normal boot..
I'm desperate cause I'm about to leave the country in about 3 days and I can't take it to the customers service center, cause the whole process would take a week or two
so my question is: is there any way I can make my phone work myself or maybe just to get it somehow in recovery mode so I can wipe all data? I'm not eager in updating to Gingerbread or changing the Stock ROM, I just want to use it!!
thanks for the quick response forum.. would somebody be nice enough to give me even a yes/no answer? thank you very much!
since you are bricked, your phone doesnt work anymore
and btw this site is not here for customer support. you cannot expect to get an answer right away
If your phone is unable to entre download mode and be recognised by odin then theres no way youll get it back.Ive had similar problems with not booting but if at least it can boot into download mode you can reflash via odin.If your not a patient person then click start and go and have a cup of tea and relax for a bit.Better than losing your phone.
i know what most of you are thinking, i have already read through forum after forum for 4, going on 5, hours now. several people have similar situations to mine, but not similar enough to actually help me.
i rooted my s2 earlier today and it went perfectly. then i tried to use odin to flash jellybean to my phone, it was the stock rom. but since that little box wasn't yellow, it failed. my drivers were not properly installed. i forgot to install kies and get my drivers before i did this process. i thought i had already properly installed the drivers i needed, and i am still unsure of what the heck im supposed to have in order to make odin work. well i got this lovely little screen saying "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again."
so i installed kies. immediately it said that no device was connected. so i unplugged and replugged my phone, said "connecting" but it never connected. not even twenty minutes later. so i rebooted my computer. nothing worked. i tried to boot my phone up to turn off "usb debugging" in case i had turned it on a few days ago without realizing it. the phone wont boot. its stuck on the screen that tells me "firmware upgrade encountered a problem".
however, i can get it to go back into downloading mode, but that doesnt really help me much since odin still cant flash my firmware correctly. it keeps bringing me back to that dreaded screen, im to the point of wanting to rip all my hair out. what else can i do?
someone must know how to deal with this situation. please please please help me! i dont want a $150 paperweight ):
thank you!

Disconnect the cable. Remove the battery and let it out for 10 minutes. Put it back in, go into download mode. Connect with odin and flash again. Hope this will work for you.

Also, remember to exit Kies using Task manager (and maybe disable Antivirus in ur PC) before connecting to Odin.

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if ever I'm posting this on the wrong section cause I'm not sure if this is a problem from android or samsung.
I'm not good at all when it comes to phone troubleshooting so I will try my luck and ask questions about what have happened to my phone just awhile ago. I got this phone from Japan(Samsung Galaxy SII Wimax isw11sc) months ago and I only use it for multimedia purposes as it is region locked and I am at another country atm. everything is running fine until my phone asked for a software update(not really sure what upgrade that was) and I decided to give it a shot and let it download the updates. I left it to do some chores and when I came back to check on it, it reboot looped itself on the AU(mobile phone company from japan) logo.
I did some research and found some things like hard reset and download mode. I tried to do the hard reset(power/home/volume up) method but I can't seem to access the settings instead, the phone keeps on showing me this "Preparing for S/W update. Please wait." after a few seconds, the phone will reset itself back to the reboot loop.
I tried to do the download mode using odin mode but then, I realized that my phone and computer won' connect via USB port because well, my phone won't boot. Also downloaded the manual driver but my pc won't recognize it.(win7 if that helps.)
Please tell me what have happened and what I can do to fix this problem, I don't really care if i lose everything that I have stored on my phone, I just want it to work again. Help will be much appreciated, Thank you.
Hello guys and gals, so i just recieved my LG V10 H901 and tried to follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...step-step-guide-rooting-lg-v10-using-t3382631 this guide, but eventually i ended up with a brick after trying to flash the .tot file.
I keep getting
Boot Verification Fail
- cause: MISHMATCH_SIG_LEN
The TWRP recovery i had is now gone, and i can't access Bootloader. I can enter Download though. I read a lot of things around the problem, but i always stuck on various software versions or phone versions i can't really understand. Is there any way to get the phone back working? Before i try any method i just want to be sure i wont mess even worse (if that is even possible).
I tried UnbrickMe thread, but it says only for soft version:h90120j I have soft version H90120c (i haven't performed the update to MM) so i don't wanna try without being sure its going to work.
I m leaving for vacations in couple of days and i don't have a phone :/ please give me your lights.
Also LGUP wont see the phone, the same for ADB.
OK I Fixed it!
I was able to get out of this maelstrom of bootloops and to finaly flash the default ROM (you can find it here https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-v10/general/stock-h90120j000712-kdz-t3436249 )
So what i did is to remove battery for 10 seconds
Put The battery in
Hold volume up button
Plugin the phone to my PC through USB
Then download mode will start
I opened LGUP and fortunately it was able to see my phone.
Then went to Upgrade and flashed the kdz file.
All went smoothly and the phone is back working.
