LGOG vs HTC one Pics (Camera Comparison) Both On AT&T - AT&T LG Optimus G

I did this as fast as I can... As I'm in office. and My friend just got his One. (PLEASE IGNORE THE NIGHT SHOT ON HTC ONE. IT WAS OUT OF FOCUS)
LINK TO THE PICTURES
Edit: Please see this post too >>. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40971806&postcount=22

The first picture almost makes it seem like the HTC One stomps us. But the rest of the pictures taken with the LGOG and the 100% brightness... our phone is just cake. The best kind of cake.

Wow, I was interested in the HTC One but the screen brightness... is so low... I always keep my brightness at 100% even on the OG.

Sorry HTC but prefer my lgog camera.

HTC one look and feel are amazing. (Its much better than IPHONE 5 in my view). But the Screen Brightness disappointed me so much. Our 50-60% brightness is equal to 100% on HTC one. I was really exited about HTC one...But after the above mentioned issue I think I will skip it.

the one wins hands down in the camera department. it has the ability to capture light unlike the optimus. however you can't really take pics outside the social pics scene with the one
i think htc, and sony uses inferior screen tech. tft can go so far.
lg and samsung totally owns the screen department. clarity going to lg. deep blacks going to samsung

Am I the only one who finds "deep blacks" to have a blue shade to them?
Also the "deep blacks" would be far less impressive if people didn't cater so much to Samsung.

I'm curious on the brightness issue. On gsmarena with their review they gave a 100% white brightness of 647 and LG Optimus G of 417 stating the HTC one "... is among the brightest panels we've tested"

Just out of curiosity, did you guys have the brightness levels matched up?

Who would test a phone with 100% brightness on lg and 43% or whatever brightness on Samsung?
The picture that the op made with a brightness comparison is 100-100. Why is this still being bickered about?

I don't know what those numbers mean (Or how they got those)... But LGOG 50-60% is HTC one's 100%. The picture in OP was 100% and 100% on both the devices. I'm not a fan-boy of LGOG.. In fact I thought of selling my phone and getting HTC one... But when my friend got HTC one... I was really happy that I did not make that mistake after seeing his phone. It really feels good in hands and looks awesome but rest everything did not live up to the hype in my opinion.

I don’t know why some of you think I don’t have both devices on 100%... If you doubt it, go to nearest AT&T Store and check side by side... I guess they intentionally made it that way to save more battery. (That’s my guess)

First I thought the same... But when I saw this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40703102&postcount=1 I was sure that all the HTC one's are same.
Edit:
Or This may be the reason. I just did a quick google search and found this link. So in case anyone wants to buy one... take your old phone and compare. (and get the highest level one if you like brightness)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202869
But So far I have seen 2 of them.. and both are definitely Low to the naked eye.

I'm happy with my lgog and may never get another upgrade in my life.

My real Rezound modifications

You all know that douche Dallasskater. He is NOT my friend and never will be. I created an account to prove everything. He was telling everyone that I modified my rez extremely. Which I did but not that drastic. Then he started making it sounding like it was fake and made a poorly Photoshopped benchmark which looked bad.
All I did was make it slcd to slcd 2, upgraded to S4 1.7gh. No I did not upgrade the battery. I just saw a slim battery on amazon which was 1950mh and was for Rez so I bought it. No I did not install imagesense chip which I think he said I did. Mainly SLCD2 and S4 Chip. Also upgraded 2 Gig ram.

I dont know what else to show you to prove. I can show whatever you want to prove I did except open up the phone. I had a hard time unscrewing the device the time I did because the grooves on the screws are bad and don't want to ruin them anymore.

fine I kind of figured no one would believe me. So I guess I wont be showing you how I did it then will I. Oh yea I forgot to tell you I work for HTC and I'm really not suppose to show you this or tell you about this. I suggested about a Rezound HD and showed it to rest of HTC but they decided not to and went to the One X+ because the original One X got more sales. I got to keep the prototype since I modded it.
I have a PhenomII X6, 26GB of RAM, the new LG Nexus motherboard and screen INSIDE my Rezound, and it transforms into the new 2013 Porsche Cayman. Also, because Android still sucks even the newest Jelly Bean, I installed iOS6.5 (The new developer beta version of iOS7, unreleased. I actually got this straight from an inside source inside of Apple
I am willing to prove it too, just tell me what you want to see, except for actual pictures. That isn't possible anymore because the phone is also now invisible, after I installed an invisibility cloak casing. Seriously though, I really did these mods. I'm super cool and you guys should all like me.

But why call it a Rezound HD? Working for HTC, you should already know that the Rezound, in fact, has an HD screen already. Does this one you made have beats audio? If not, it's an obvious downgrade.

Screen dots

Do the visible screen dots on the Optimus G bother anyone else? I noticed them today when there was a lot of sunlight shining on my phone. I saw them on several HTC devices in the past (Inspire, Flyer, etc) and it never sits right with me.
By comparison, there are no dots visible on the iPhone 5, Galaxy S III, Note II, Lumia 920, or many other phones that I have.
Maybe I'm just anal and/or nitpicky.

I thought that I replied to another post exactly like this. Anyways. Its part of how they place a cluster of touch points and they matrix them together. Those are kind of the way the screen gives you a multi touch screen and to make it work past 2 fingers.

I suppose because everyone is different. Just like nails on a chalkboard irritate some people, but not others.
Since I have seen many great screens without the dots, I always wonder why any of them have them. Is it a cheaper manufacturing method? Inferior materials? Why do they need to be there on the Optimus G, but not on the iPhone 5 or Droid DNA?

Yeah, what Nits said above. But we haven't seen much real data on it, just what was approved by the FCC - and that didn't give us much.
That's what I'm going off of is the rumors I've been reading. I'm new to HTC so I just got the dna less than a month ago. It's called being in sales, and there's a level of dishonesty that they can get away with.
It's really hard to sell an S3 or a DNA when someone believes a better phone is coming out in a month. That's a reasonable amount of time for people to put up with an old phone while waiting for the new hotness.

The goal of the salesperson in the store is to get you to sign a contract before you step out the door. That's it. They can't sell you something they don't have, therefore before a launch (or preorder) the next new phone doesn't exist in the salesperson's vocabulary.
As long as you realize the goal of the salesperson is to get you to sign a contract, then you're OK. Caveat emptor.
Personally I never set foot inside those stores.

If I am not mistaken they are both LCD3.
The One has a slightly sharper display due to it being 1080p on a 4.7 inch display as opposed to a 5 inch display. If memory serves me the One has 469ppi and the DNA has 441ppi.

Anyone thinking of going with the HTC One???

I'll be honest, I was hoping the one was going to be released sooner and prolly would have gotten it if it came out before the s4. Don't get me wring, I like my s4. But now that the one is coming in a couple of days I'm thinking about getting it.
My only two concerns are battery like and Verizon locking it down. I've read some reviews that the battery is terrible and some that its OK.
I'm a total crackflasher and if its locked down, that alone would prolly make me not get it.
Just wondering what you all think. I mean spec wise they're pretty similar.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda premium
I'm in the same boat as you. My upgrade was available and I was to impatient to wait for the one. Since getting the s4, I have really grown to like it and I like a lot of the features it brings to the table. I haven't actually had the one on my hands to play with it but I've watched a lot of reviews and ultimately I'm happy with the s4.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Yeah its a tough decision. I've played with it and like the design, but if you put a case on it, which I will, that becomes a moot point. I did like the new sense interface. Blinkfeed looks pretty cool as well as the zoe feature. Of course thise prolly destroy the battery too!!
Specs are fairly similar, and honestly a bit better for the s4. Like I said, the battery reviews concern me about the one and Verizon locking it down.
I wonder if a Dev edition would come out.

The HTC One is a great device, but the fact that once again Verizon is only offering a 32GB (at launch) tells me they are dragging out the 64GB later on or not at all and it really does benefit from the extra storage space. The Front Facing Speakers do kick ass.

Also I noticed on the the FCC spec sheet AWS LTE was not listed as a radio band. That was my reason for no longer waiting for HTC ONE and getting the Galaxy S4.

Pardon my ignorance but what does that mean??

I have no issues with battery life, with very heavy use. I unplugged at 5am this morning, and after pretty heavy use all day I'm at 14% now. With light use (such as when I'm at school), unplugged at 5am will still be over 90% at 2:30.

I believe it is something Verizon plans on rolling out this year. I believe it could potentially double bandwidth speeds. I figured, few devices support it and for the HTC ONE to drop the ball on this is too bad. I really did want the HTC ONE over the S4. But when the FCC spec sheet came out and 32GB S4 released, made my decision easy.

*Estimating*
I'm don't think it gives you an exact time, hut it looks to be around 6-7 hours, while using battery intensive apps.

If I got close to that I'd jump to get one lol. 4.5 hours is about what I get now and that's awesome. I'm thinking its not 6-7 hours.

I actually came had an HTC device before, don't think I'll go back. I'm thinking Motorola will be my next choice, especially since they are owned by Google now. Motorola devices have never let me down.

No. Again, its designed to be scratch resistant. Thats all.
Smudge... Scratch... I guess I can see how you'd confuse those, if you only skimmed the literature.

Actually, its supposed to be fingerprint resistant, watch the key note if you dont believe it. However I think it comes down to how dirty your fingers really are.
I keep thinking mine has a plastic film over it still, sometimes it really looks like.

hey man! i love the phone..amazing screen. quicker than my GS4. some bits of lag that annoy me (theres lag when going back to teh home screen..seems as if the launcher redraws every signle time, but it freezes movement so you don't actually SEE the redraw.)
the one was a great phone, and i loved my DNA..but the camera on both were meh. i played with a one in the store, and while it's great, and those spekaers rock, the screen was too small.
the speaker is nothing special on the G2, to be honest. there's some kind of built in limiter/compressor that you CAN'T turn off, which sucks, because it makes music sound kinda crappy over it. haven't tried headpohnes yet.
over all, fast, awesome phone though with a great screen.

def! i'm seeing mike D and scott around too, so who knows, we might get some good stuff going over here.
the lag i believe is simply the launcher handling refreshes. it's not always there, but sometimes hwen you go back home and try to switch pages irght away, it doesn't do anything, then it moves over very choppy.
Nice bro! Cleanroms r always good. And Mike D is a badass too.
