As far as I'm aware there is no way to recover a bricked (Stuck on android logo) OT-983?
Please don't say google is your friend because I've been looking for hours and the same threads come up with people asking and not getting any replies.
If there is a way to recover this phone I would love to know!

i have a vibrant through t-mobile and i rooted and put a custom rom on a few year ago. now i wanna put it back to factory as if i just bought it and give it to my gf to have a better phone. How do i do that? I've tried couple of things i've seen on the internet and think i soft bricked it. it's stuck on the custom rom's flash screen before the galaxy s flash screen. I am a noob so please if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it!!

This might be a strange/noob question, but could somebody tell me all possible ways to brick/hardbrick a phone?
I'm new to android's world and I already bricked my S2 twice (Im not proud of it)
Hopefully I found the solution to unbrick it.
I really want to try new ROMs, kernels, etc., but I'm really afraid of doing something stupid and hard bricking my phone.
So I want to know, what I mustn't do with it.

The quickest way to brick your phone is to not read and understand what you're about to do.

If you want to try new Rom's or Kernel's,You Read the Instruction FIRST
Yep. RTFM. I can count the number of people who bricked their phones on here over the past two years who were 'unlucky' on both hands (and that's out of many thousands). Almost always user error of some kind. Make sure you use a machine that you know has reliable USB ports if you're doing an Odin flash, make sure you use cables (preferably original Samsung ones) in perfect condition.

First off flashing a device will not fix a missing IMEI.
Second we don't deal with cheap knock offs here.
I would search some of the Chinese sites.

I gave you your best option. You wont really find any help here. Almost no one deals with knock off devices and any developers here would never buy one. Your best bet is to look at some of the Chinese forums.
My bigest problem is that i cant make it to detected as mtk preloader........its shows only as mtk usb.
I don't want to root (if that even solves the problem) to use this tablet.
I tried all the options from weeks now...actually more than 1 month.
called LG , Google and t mobile....no help
Very frustrated please help or guide me to the right direction
if not just say it ...it's bricked and i can go on with my life.

You ever fix the issue? I can probably be of assistance because I've bypassed frp on a ton of different devices and could use the stock firmware for an issue I'm having with my own V530 as well.
Seems there is absolutely NO development, TWRP.CWM/Philz recovery, custom ROMs, or even the stock firmware online and I've searched for 3 solid weeks now for anything that would fix the issue were experiencing with this cursed tablet lol
i was but i paid for it -_-
if you do find THE solution , will you post it here on this thread for future reference ?
