[Q] Live With Walkman Unlock By Code - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello there guys.
I tried to search around but havent found anything about this. I have a 12w23 manufactured Sony LWW and im trying to SIM unlock it, but because of his version I cannot do it through Wotan Server as they are very limited to the versions. So I heard about these Unlock Code Sites. My question is, does anyone knows any of those sites that are trustworthy? If so, can you point me out to one?
I really needed to unlock my phone as Im now using another network and buying another smartphone it's not on my toughts right now.
And by the way if it helps in something, my LWW is SIM locked to TMN Portugal.
Thanks in advance,
Deviantor.
Edit: Mod, I figured out that i might posted in the wrong section so please move as you read this, thank you.

I don´t know the prices on those sites that give the unlock code but have you tried to go to TMN to know the price, if you unlock by code from those sites I don't know nothing about warranty, but if you unlock on TMN they have too give the warranty like when it was locked because they give you a paper that says that it was a legal unlock.
" Não sei os preços nos sites de desbloqueio por código mas já foste á tmn a perguntar o preço? É que desbloqueando na TMN a garantia mantém-se pois eles são obrigados a passar-te um papel que certifica que o desbloqueio foi lega e feito por eles, mantendo-se assim a garantia a que eles estão obrigados. Nesses sites não sei se perdes a garantia ou não"

Problem is that it is a second hand mobile phone that I boughtfelt and the guy gave me evertything, the mobile was even in the box, but didnt give the payment proof and i too forgot to ask for it and know i cant contact that person cause i lost his number and the web announce that he had was gone. So without the payment proof i cant do anything on TMN and so doesnt bothers me with warranty too as I dont have it already. And the price is almost the same as far as I googled. My only concern is that those sites are trustworthy or not.

remove sim lock by code
Hello Deviantor!
I had the same problem like you, no one could remove SIM lock from my WT19i. I don't really trust in online services but I had luck with a page: http://sim-unlock.net/
A month ago I paid for the universal unlock code about 35 euros by paypal and had to wait about one and a half week (12 days) then received the code with instructions. I was getting stressed a bit after one week waiting but I wanted to remove SIM lock at any ways so I kept on waiting because I wanted to unlock the bootloader.
After removing the SIM lock I instantly checked the service menu but unfortunately it is still "bootloader unlock allowed: no" :crying:
So I don't know what to do now but that is another topic...
I hope you will manage to solve the sim lock problem with them!
Greetings,
elsenhor

Thank you el senhor. received the code in 5 days. It was fast. I was affraid it could be fake but not. Will try now to find a way for the bootloader to unlock.

Good news then, I'm glad!
If you find a solution to open the boatloader please let me know!
Good luck!

1- you gotta get your phone on DIAG Mode you can find that info in this forum.
2- Once you are in Diag Mode you can conect to cdma workshop and rewrite the nv item 8035 (click here) "you need to do this so the data settings can be saved when your are configuring the phone in qpst.
3- Then you can program your phone on qps(you need to find the settings for your cdma carrier)
you can follow a standar guide for a motorola x or x2,
i followed this guide but is in spanish click here
Thanks hjcg2001.
I did´nt use cdma work shop.
At just 2 step, I have a iusacell number.
1) Get the spc number from RadioComm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365058
2) On the phone dial pad, press ## followed by the 6-digit code you get in the spc number, followed by an additional #. Example: ##123456#
Change the MIN and MDN number for your new provider.
Automatic the phone restart.
I did get those number, when I ´m calling to iusacell for new number.
Thanks.

[Q] Nokia 710 with custom rom Carrier Unlock

Hello Everyone,
I downgraded the bootloader to Qualcomm and successfully installed the rainbow mod, which claims to be carrier unlocked, but my SIM still doesn't work in the stupid phone.
In config->about it shows that the carrier is CV GB SW ID313 v02 and I read on some post here that this is UK unlocked or something.
If I install some rom will this work? Is it possible to hack something using my beloved Linux?
Why doesn't it work with the brazilian SIM? It doesn't ask me anymore for the carrier unlock code, but it first asked for the PIN then for the PUK, of the SIM. I am sure these are correct, since I confirmed with my carrier.
The original carrier is TELCEL, from Mexico, and I already checked in the websites that give the code to unlock, but they don't have this carrier in their list.
Should I throw the phone throught the window?
Thanks a LOT!

[Q] Bricked my S3, Telcel Mexico did apply my warranty... flashing Cyanogen now safe?

(Just noticed this wasn't supposed to be the forum to post this... if a kind mod sees this thread, could you please move it to the Questions forum? Thanks in advance :3)
First thing you might want to hear: In Mexico, if you root or flash a custom ROM on your Galaxy S3, brick it, and your bootloader won't work, Telcel won't void your warranty. Why? Because the bootloader is the part that proves whether you have fumbled around your OS -- and therefore, if the bootloader doesn't work, there is no way to prove that your ROM is not stock, and in order to avoid possible lengthy legal action, they just fix it without saying a word.
For any paisano who might be googling in Spanish: En México, si rooteas o cargas una ROM custom en tu Galaxy S3, posteriormente se queda brickeado, y el bootloader no funciona, Telcel sí hace válida la garantía.
Now that this is out of the way, here's my story...
>bought in February an international Samsung Galaxy S3 from Telcel, Mexico
>ran on rooted stock ROM for about 6 months, eMMC Check says I have the bad sudden death chipset
>one day, I declare that the stock ROM has run its course and flash CM 9.1 stable, during the whole time I forget that I have the bad chipset
>everything runs fine for 24 hours
>then I decide to install Whatsapp, Cyanogen freezes on initial set up (after receiving the confirmation SMS and setting my display name, before actually getting the chats screen)
>after the fourth reboot, Cyanogen won't start anymore
>I go to recovery and clear the cache
>recovery freezes too
>spend about 2 hours trying to make it work with Odin on download mode
>find out the PIT was missing, find one online and try to flash it
>it won't, the internet says this means my Galaxy S3 is now officially bricked
>submit it to Telcel to have it fixed
>one week later, it's fixed
>eMMC now says I have the good chipset
eMMC Check now says I have a Type 016G92 chip, date 01/1997, CID 1101003031364739323094152477107d, fwrev 0x30, and that it's not a Sudden Death chip. In theory I should be good now, but I so definitely don't want to risk another brick again. Does that really, really, really means it is now safe to flash CyanogenMod 9.1 again?
Also, why did CM 9.1 freeze while doing the initial Whatsapp setup? Is there a way to prevent or fix it?
We now have CM 10.2. Anything that has a version higher than 4.1.2 is safe from SDS. CM 9 is 4.0.x so it's technically unsafe.
Anyway, your chip is good, so you won't get hit by SDS.
Thread moved to proper forum.
Lucky you
Lucky you! I just went to telcel today, they had no issue with it being rooted. However when they sent it to Samsung, they sernt it back to Telcel and said warranty was void since it was rooted and they offer to replace the system board for 7880 pesos..
I explained the Telcel technician the situation, and he agreed, so they had me write up a long letter explaining the situation and have them reconsider repairing the manifacturing flaw under warranty as it is a recogniced hardware problem.
So in about 10 days, I will find out if Samsung is going comply. I fear they won't and will use the rooted phone excuse for not replacing they flawed hardware..
My guess is that I'll end up with a non functional S3..

It all depends upon what this claimed flawed hardware is .
But Samsung are vey specific on rejecting warranty .
Your claim should be against the vendor they sold the goods not Samsung and yes Samsung rejected the claim from the vendor . But the vendor still sold you the goods and if as you say its flawed hardware then check your countries law regarding the sale of goods .

Samsung Galaxy S3 — "Not registered to the network" a Samsung recurring problem

Samsung Galaxy S3 — "Not registered to the network" a Samsung recurring problem
First of all I would like greenman in the Sam mobile Forum for his efforts trying to help me to solve the "not registered to the network", I still have the problem and two days ago I went to a Samsung service operator and the person there did not knew anything about firmwares or the phones itself, even more she said all the Samsung phones where defective and I should never update the phone OTA as this could burn my phone motherboard also if I use a generic battery my phone will also burn etc etc etc, one thin she said is my phone came from France but she also said the phones for America and the ones for Europe where totally different so Samsung could not service my phone at least at that authorized Samsung service center, so I took my phone and went away from that place.
There is another Samsung certified service center capable of repairing my phone but still I want to learn how to fix it and as the very last resource I would send the phone to that service center.
I would likenot to bother greenman again but from his posts I think he manage very well this issue, but any help would be very much appreciated.
My phone was bought in Amazon , unlocked and actually is not rooted.
is my phone info (Spanish)

I'd remove all but the first two numbers of your imei - just for your security.
Also - you may find that the phone has been blocked by the service provider. As you purchased this on Amazon, it could have come from anyone.
This is common in NZ. People buy expensive phones on hire purchase, (take now/pay off over time), they soon fall behind on payments, so sell the phone off to get the cash for it. The company then blocks the phone from the networks as their way of saying if you didn't pay the bill then you don't get a phone. (but this doesn't happen for months down the line/or until someone updates the phone)
Thanks for the reply but that is not my case, I have used thed phone for some years, can not remember how many but the problem seems to be another related to the software, IMEI or something else.

Does it read the simcard? Or any others?
Without knowing everything that the other person who tried helping has done it's difficult to determine.

I think it does read the SIM as it does not say the usual message " insert a SIM card", this is the second time it happens and what the other goy recomended me was flash a patched ROM and a a patched modem which I did but with no results, every thing is fine except I can not register to the network.

This fails. The screen just stays black forever until i eventually hit the power button again to reboot it.
Edit:
It seems that some (Chinese) versions have fastboot locked out and that would be my phone.
