Kernel question - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I asked this in one of the kernel threads but they move so fast it think it was overlooked.
I wanna know if you should change the frequency of all 4 cores if you use an overclock kernel or just change core 1.
This is the first quad core device I've used an OC/UV kernel on. Every other device I've had had been dual core.

Tegrak overclock question

Hey guys I was looking around on some new overclocking information for the ATRIX and really couldn't find anything extra ordinary but I was just wondering, the sgs2 is running the same chip set as the ATRIX but is being overclocked to about 1.5ghz or higher. Why is this? Also why wouldn't all tegra devices be supported by tegrak app?

[Q] Adjustable overclock kernel or app??

Hey guys i'm new to overlocking, rooting and rom flashing on HTC phones. I have had motorola phones in the past, droid, droidx bionic, razr and have always rooted, overclocked and undervolted. Is there some way or app for the rezound that will let me adjust overclock speeds and voltage? I know there is setcpu but what i'm looking for is a app like milestone overclock that I used along with setcpu on my droid x?
incredicontrol
incredicontrol says its for "single core" htc devices only. Anything else?
CPU master from antutu is pretty worth it

Thanks guys
Does one need this even with a custom kernel such as ziggy's or dsb?

If you want to change clocking speed or undervolt/overvolt from what the kernel Dev set the default to, yes. Otherwise you're not really taking advantage of the kernel. If a kernel is overclockable....Dev's usually leave the speed close to stock because some phones rspond differently.
System tuner pro is the best. Does everything. I use it and CPU master

Any OV/UV kernel for ics

Well, I'm not sure if that was a question or not but as far as I know you can't flash the kernel because of our wonderful locked bootloaders...
If you were to use the search function, you would see that there are modules and scripts available to overclock our CPUs. Our processors are already factory overclocked 200Mhz, the maximum I have been able to reach is 1.3Ghz
I was looking to under volt to save battery

You can do that as well

is it possible to undervolt by only setting it in one app?
without too much trouble, i'm not good in flashing files etc.
As far as I know, the only way is using scripts, and you can adjust the clock frequency in say.. SetCPU. But the voltage settings are only available in the script itself, if you check this post you can see there are scripts already made for under clocking / under volting.

[Q] overclock duel core?

I see that there are guys working on utilizing the second core with scripts but the process is alittle over my head. Basically i was wondering is there a app to overclock these duel core monsters we have? or is that why the guys are working on the second core scripts?

[Q] overclocking the DX

Hi all, after installing MaartenXDA's ROM, I saw the performance control and wanted advice on a safe frequency to overclock my DX to. Thanks in advance!

Does custom kernel included for overclocking in your custom rom?

I saw someone said that you can OC the S4 Play to 1.2Ghz but I'm not sure...

Yes it's made for 1-1,2GHz, but you need a custom kernel. The thing I would like to see more than overclocking are some more governors and schedulers.
The overclocking will gets more power from the battery or ?
[sorry for my bad english, I hope someone understand me ]
we need someone to create a custom kernel for our phone. without custom kernel, we cant overclock our phone.
but i dont see any reason yet to overclock, the current frequency are fast enough for me even for gaming. unless you have a very slow phone, 1ghz single core processor and below it would be good.
i used to overclock a lot on my single core processor phone from 1ghz to 1.2-1.8ghz frequency. of course the higher frequency you're on the more risk you are gonna damage the cpu of your phone and battery because of overheat. from 1ghz, overclocking to 1.2-1.4ghz is safe.
underclocking would be a smart idea though to save battery.
the main reason custom kernel are needed for me are to use some governors and schedulers to save battery or performance.
Thanks guys! Oh, and could someone explain or post a link to a guide on overclocking?
