Hi,
I have an Experia Neo (GB) and I am planning on upgrading to ICS. I just want to know how can I keep my messeges when I upgrade?
Can I restore them using titanium back up?
Thanks!
You can use titanium backup..
Is your mobile rooted & unlocked?
it is rooted but I have yet to unlock the boot loader since it will require formatting. from what I've read gb stores the messeges on "dialer storage" while its stores them in a different file. I am not sure if restoring through TB is feasible

While I am trying to decide whether to root or not (I usually use Titanium backup) can anybody recommend a good backup app for a non rooted device?
My Backup Pro, I use it along Titanium Backup, as well as backup for... Titanium Backup.
The new version of PC Companion has a full backup feature. Maybe that can do the trick?

Maybe it's just me but when I try to make backup using PC Companion it crashes just before it finishes the whole process. Tried on 2 computers with the same result.

MyBackup Pro
I'm not sure but i don't think that MyBackup Pro can backup your app data unless you have root,
"NOTE: Data/setting of applications can only be supported if you have a rooted phone, or if the application integrates with us."
Read that in the product description,
Does that mean that it would only backup the actual APK's ?
Here is a list of the apps that have integrated MyBackup Pro:
http://www.rerware.com/Android-Backup/Integration.aspx
To be honest i don't use any of them but i guess someone will find it useful
I did back up my phone with pc companion this morning. Overall the whole process is not smooth. Sometimes it said program is not responding but I waited patiently and let it run. Finally it has done PC companion also detected the back up file.

Hi,
I update my WT19i to ICS from GB yesterday, So i backup my apps with titanium backup pro. After successfully updated my phone to ICS and rooted, i restore apps batch by batch. I made preferences setting to install restored apps in external memory only.
After i update 50 apps, i find my internal memory going too low, now it remains only 16.5 MB, I can't identify where is the problem.
Is there any solution?
Use busybox from tb or system ?

Settings - Apps - SDcard
Move so many possible to SD.
I have an unrooted Xperia S and I am trying to download a game.
Here's my problem:
When I connect my phone to my PC, I am attemping to find the "obb" folder into the "Android" one, to copy the game DATA in there but with no success! I can't find that folder and Im pretty sure that it's not hidden, it may be located elsewhere or I need to copy data files to another folder.
I have downloaded a lot of games such as NOVA 3 (which downloads its DATA via wi-fi) but the obb folder seems like it doesn't exist.
Could you help me find where the game DATA folders are located? Thanks in advance..
*Xperia S doesn't have card slot so there isn't SD card inserted. Everything is stored in its internal memory (32gb).
I can use TeamViewer if you want a closer look.
hey, I also have an unrooted Xperia S and i was also unable to find the "obb" folder . So i just created it in the Android folder and it worked for me .
try it :good:

Just to let you know guys, it is about a game called "Cut the rope" and I want to continue from where I stopped. In other words I want my SAVE DATA!
Anyway thanks for your answers and sorry for the misunderstanding!

Yes, look in the apps section.
If you're rooted you can use titanium backup to "backup and restore" your files including apps+data. So I suggest that you root your phone

He meant the game files, not the /data/data...
I know it's the game files, I've tried to backup the data on titanium backup after playing Asphalt 7, The Dark Knight Rises etc (before I flashed a new rom).. Then I flashed a new rom, new kernel, did a factory reset, wiped dalvik cache, and when I restored my saved backup in titanium backup it also restored my saved game. So backing up using TPB is effective for me.

I have searched and tried different methods but to no avail. My Sola still continues to reboot from time to time. While playing music, taking pictures, sending messages, etc. I have tried factory reset, SUS, Companion repair, rooting, then using system tuner pro to change i/o setting to noop, but to no avail, my phone still reboots. It didn't have such problems apart from GB. I am willing to do anything to fix my sola. Thank you1
If you have rooted then just install cwm for locjed bootloader and install custom rom like hybrid, pureblood.
U will experience the best from ur sola:thumbup:

I don't believe there's something wrong with the phone. If I remove the SD card, the problem is actually nonexistent. And I haven't experienced this in GB. So I believe it follows that the phone is in good condition Thanks though.

Yes, I simply unmount it and it does not reboot anymore
Okay, will format sd card.
Why do I need to use flash? Does that have something to do with the microSD reboot? What exactly does flashtool do?
Original sola ics can be downloaded in ftf format
It can be flashed using flashtool everytime u have a major software problem
Even in cases of soft brick
Its like a first start to ur beloved device

Install CPU tuner and change iOS scheduler to noop instead of cfq and check whether the problem persist.

How did you update to ICS? I recall that there are users with SD reboot problems when Sola ICS came out. Search the forums to see if they managed to fix it.
Edit:
Try to root your device via the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Seems like the older versions (v9) have a SD Mount issues. See if it works.
I am also having the exact same issue.
In GB 184, i didn't have this issue. Once i update to ICS (.10 .54 both) the phone keep restart if i have SD card inserted. I rooted changed the scheduler to noop from cfq, nothing solving the reboot.
I tried installing JB and it is now not rebooting when the phone starts. But it reboot whenever i open any file in the SD card (like play a song present in SD card played in walkman, open a picture etc )..
What could i do to prevent the reboot except not using the SD card...
I tried with SanDisk 32GB, 4GB, Sony 16GB,8GB SDmemory cards.. but the problem still exists
Hello!, I have a doubt aobut restoring backups.. do I need to wipe everything and format data and system? or just restore without wiping and formatting?
