HTC One bluetooth compatibility with BMW - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hi everyone, I recently got this phone and have bluetooth connectivity issue with my car, 2009 BMW 335i coupe. It would pair with the car but cant sync contacts and it just seems to connect and disconnect with the car every 10 sec or so. However phone call can last with the car.
ATT rep told me it has to do with the car bluetooth but not the phone, and I need to take my car into the dealership for a fix. Please advise and help, thanks!

Try removing the phone...turning off the car...power cycling the phone...turn it all on on try again...there is an inconsistency with the connection as my 1 and 328xi talk seamlessly...now there is an expected delay on updating the contacts but the same is true for my iPhone and Z10 I have connected in the past....don't give up on it...

[Q] Atrix: Frozen signal bars displayed on car bluetooth

I have this problem on two Atrix phones. They connect fine to the car (Audi S8) bluetooth but as soon as the phone screen sleeps, the signal bars displayed on the car screen don't change; they just freeze. It doesn't matter what the real signal level is, the display on the car screen stays frozen until I push the power button to wake the phone screen and it immediately shows the correct signal bars.I called Motorola support and I was transferred to level 3 and the technician told me he has an Atrix and it has the same problem and there is no known solution. He then suggested that I post this question.
Has anyone seen this or it is just me ending up with two bad phones?

Just curious, I plan to purchase the atrix, so other than the signal bar problem on your A8, can I assume the bluetooth connection works. The reason I ask is because the Atrix is not listed on the compatible phone list on the Audi USA site.

Phone lists from car manufacturers are never up to date. For instance, the Ford Sync phone compatibility lists don't show any of the newer phones either.
I'm not sure what the Audi BT stack can do, but the Atrix with my new Focus will display the address book pictures (as long as they are in the phone book and not just facebook linked), BT music, phone calls, and the MAP stuff for text messages works perfectly.

Yes it works fine, even if no signal bars are shown in the car screen and I receive a call, the phone immediately wakes up and the correct signal is shown.
Off topic but nice ridee

I have the same problem, but different car ... 2011 Subaru WRX with stock clarion head-unit. Some morning when I start the car up, my HU shows 0 bars of cell reception. Turn on the phone, and instantly it goes to full bars.
I haven't actually tried calling yet (usually too tired and already late for work to sit around and test it).
Oh, and I've got a Bell unit with official OTA update, never rooted or anything else.

[Q] Bluetooth not working with 2013 Lexus

I have a 2013 Lexus GS 350. My wife's Blackberry works fine with it, my HTC HD2 with Energy ROM works fine with it, and my iPhone works fine. But I just got this HTC Amaze and only Hands Free and PBAP will work with it. I have no A2DP or MAP. The car also comes with an App suite, and the other phones work with it, but not the Amaze. Has T-Mobile crippled something in this phone that can be fixed? I really like the phone, but if I can get any of this to work it's going back. Thanks!
My wife has a 2011 Mitsubishi outlander sport w/ factory nav radio. My amaze and her mytouch 4g slide work well with it streaming audio from both phones.

A2DP is built in the music apps.. You need to get one from the market with it built in or flash a rom with it built in

[Q] Carrying more then one phone

Looking around here, i see that plenty of people have more then one phone.
But i don't see any way to make them work together.
How possible would it be to make them connect with wifi / bluetooth?
Have them both ring when a phone-call comes in and make it not matter which you pick up?
Stay connected to the internet on both phones when one loses signal? (living on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands, when one has internet, the other one probably doesn't)
Share audio with 1 Bluetooth headset?
Do you know a way to make any of these happen?

You could pair the two devices together using Bluetooth but that would be for transferring files and other stuff I suppose. I don't think it's possible to have them both ring when a phone-call comes in and have it not matter which phone you answer. To get internet on both phones most people tether phone A's internet connection and create a wireless hotspot and then connect phone B to the hotspot. But if one looses signal then other one would loose internet signal as well, if there is no signal in an area there is no signal, and both devices will be without service. And what do you mean by share audio with 1 Bluetooth headset? You could pair both devices with the same Bluetooth headset if that's what your talking about (For example phone A is paired with Bluetooth headset A and phone B is paired with Bluetooth headset A also).

The problem is that i live on the border between 2 country's, so if i'm in Belgium, i have to set my Belgian phone to tether wifi, my dutch phone to connect to it, and a few hours later il be in the Netherlands and i need to tether my Belgian phone to my dutch one. If i forget to disconnect it, and i leave the country, both phones will not have internet. Then i am home, and i have to select my home wifi. I cross the border 2 or 4 times a day. Doing it manually is a pain.
Both my phones are paired to my headset, but that old thing only connects with one phone at the time.could fix it by buying a new one. But i like the sound of the one i have now.
But correct my if i'm wrong, but the hardware should be capable of much better cooperation between phones. I just can't find software to do stuff. is there any?

I'm not sure about the data issue but you could use Google voice and set that up to ring both phones...

That wouldn't work. I would have to give all my friends and contacts a US phone number. They wouldn't ever call me.
But i did figure out a way to properly share internet. Tasker!
While (not roaming) and (not at home(check with gps? Bluetooth of computer in range? certain cell tower? other?)) and (other phone nearby (check with Bluetooth)) tether internet.
Else, connect to wifi.
I guess i have some scripting to do and i should buy a new headset. That way i can answer both phones with the same Bluetooth headset, and share internet.
What is more battery efficient? Bluetooth or WiFi tethering?

Wifi not working

Hi all,
I have an AT&T HOX+ rooted running a stock ROM. All of a sudden the last few days my phone will connect to both my home networks (2.4 and 5GHz) but won't actually connect to the internet. This is incredibly odd. It was working fine until a few days ago.
Based on a search around the internet, I tried setting up a static IP address to no avail. Any ideas?
Not enough info given... reset your router and phone, failing that reset settings back to stock or call your isp/router oem for support.

I've tried all that. The issue is clearly not the router, since every other device, WiFi or Wired in my house is working fine. The issue is clearly with the phone.

HTC ONE MAX Vehicle Bluetooth

Is anyone else having problems maintaining the Bluetooth connection in their vehicle. When I delete and repair it works fine once I turn off the car and return later there is absolutely no bt connection.
I use my verizon max all the time with multiple bluetooth to fm transmitters. Not one issue.
*I note I have the verizon one because it seems maybe the us ones have a little better implementation of things than other versions
OP,
i responded to you on the sprint forums..
ive a sprint one max and i have no issues. it behaves just as the htc one did.
what phone did you have prior? did it not have any issues?
do you have an aftermarket system or factory?
rooted?
what apps are you trying to stream from?
how about making phone calls, can you at least do that?
or does the phone not even show the relationship in the BT page with your car and the one max?
Previously I had an Samsung note 2 with no Bluetooth issues. It is a factory navigation/blue tooth in a 2008 Mitsubishi outlander xls. It works fine when I delete it and pair for the first time . After that initial pair happens it stops connecting. I am not streaming just trying to do Bluetooth calls.
