Try SuperOneClick and Unlockroot, but you can try every method which is for ICS, you will find one sooner or later.
And report it here when you find it! (I don't have the phone, can't help )

OTA updating - problem
I have a root phone LG Optimus L7 II P710 (android 4.1.2 - software version P71010b-EUR-XX) by Framaroot 1.4.1.
Yesterday I wanted to do OTA update.
After downloading and restart the phone - when updating always see this message: err : 0x13E
After reboot the phone (to Android) appears message:
This device is suspected in rooting. Software update is not available for rooted device.
Tested several times to download updated and install.
Also tested:
Unroot phone by Framaroot
Factory data reset
Nothing helped.
Does anyone have a similar experience?
How to solve this situation?
Please help me... Thanks

After installing take an backup of stock rom , if in future your phone get crash you can restore it .

Works with an ADB tweak
Pantel's BSNL Penta IS703C has weird path variable. the su present in /bin/ takes precedence. That file is merely a symlink to /bin/busybox. Rooting solutions don't affect it and therefore rooting this tablet from existing rooting solutions does not work.
Following method works for this tablet:
Follow all steps of any rooting solution, I chose root with restore by bin4ry with option 1
Enter ADB shell (root with restore by bin4ry folder contains adb.exe, use it by Windows cmd prompt)
Code:
adb shell
mv /bin/su /bin/su1
Done!

Where did you get an upgraded firmware from? I know of only two official firmwares.
20120910%20IS703C%20software.zip (new)
and
IS703C1GB.zip (old)
(Here is my opinion about these two firmwares:
New
Pros: Obviously, it is new. Offers more apps. Physical buttons work as volume keys. Taskbar has hide option.
Cons: Wallpaper says that P. C. Chacko has gifted tablet to some scholar. /system/media/boot.mp3 plays annoying audio at startup. Taskbar has screenshot button. Stock Skype app is by tom.com.
Fix: Remove wallpaper. Rename boot.mp3 from ADB/root. Install official Skype app.
Old
Pros: Physical buttons work as menu and back keys.
Cons: Older version. Less apps.)
I have tried both firmwares and both work fine. Did you try some firmware for some other tablet? If so, then you'll have to flash any original firmware back.
Actually I tried installing CWM of a fly tablet but it didnt worked so reflashed stock firmware. But after some timme my tab refused to boot. still looking for a solution.

If your tablet is still detected by ADB, then you might be able to reflash the stock firmware again. I don't know if any JTAG sort of fixes are provided by Pantel service center. I suggest you ask them, no harm in asking.

Since it is detected by ADB, I wouldn't be much worried.
I see that you earlier tried pantel.in/Download/Software/IS703C1GB.zip. Have you ever tried pantel.in/Download/Software/20120910 IS703C software.zip instead? It is the newer firmware from Pantel.

Hi! Can anyone please help me root Alcatel 916D (FB Spark)? A real nice low budget qwerty dual-sim phone running Android GB. I've tried all rooting tools i can find on the web like: SuperOneClick, Unlocker,Doomlord, z4root etc... but nothing seems to work. Lately, i tried flashing a new boot.img based on what i read from a post using a scatter text file, unfortunately now, my phone is bricked and stuck on a bootloop. I brought it to Alcatel Service Center for the reinstallation of its fresh OS coz OneTouch Software Uprade won't allow me to install it on my own. As soon as my 916D is fixed i'll try again to root it and i hope that someone in our community could provide me with a good tutorial and rooting files particularly usuable with 916D.
Likewise, i would also appreciate if someone could provide me a tutorial and files necessary on Increasing the Internal Storage of Alcatel 916D coz its merely 150MB.. Thanks a lot in advance.

Alcatel has open source code for OT-916D - so what we need, that somebody with C++, Java knowledge for Root and CWM, I think.
Source Files
The source files for Alcatel OT-916 (and many other models) can be downloaded here: sourceforge.net/projects/alcatel/files/
As for rooting, I tried every available method, including MTKdroidTools, but none of them work.

nice to know that this work! actually i haven't have this phone yet but really wanna have one and root it because of memory issues, however the link given is not understandable because its of different language..yes i can translate the page to english but not the video in there... so im worried that if i tried to, i am at risk of bricking it since i don't fully understand it and i see this rooting procedure is more complicated than JB on ios... it will be my first root if ever...yes im a newbie(noob) to android, so i hope you can help me and if its ok can you make a video if it does not bother you... i'd look forward to this... thank you very much
I have Alcatel OT-916, not OT-916D which is dual sim, and I tried to follow the procedure in the link but when I tried to flash the phone it just didn't want to connect although I was able to read the ram and all the time I was getting error USB not found.
Now the phone is soft-bricked. I'm able to communicate with it but it just won't turn on, like it's hard bricked.
P.S: I think 916 and 916D have different scatter files, that might be the problem. Still I want to hear second opinion.
__________
I forgot to mention something very important. The phone wasn't bricked 'till I tried flashing with option DA Download All checked, which kind of worked, the progress bar went to 100% but I got error BROM ERROR:S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL(5054).

Hi, everybody!
I've rooted my device before, using Lelus tutorial [GUIDE] Root L9 ICS/JB with New Lelus method & Offline Flashing [LOCKED BL] [31-Mar] and it was working.
Today, I updated to oficial JB 4.1.2 version and I lost the root access. So, I tried to root again using Lelus guide but after that the device is locked on first LG screen.
Vol -, Home , Power doesn't work.
SW Upgrade mode is working, all drivers properly installed and and no one prograns recognizes the phone (tested with B2CAppSetup, KDZ_FW_UPD and, UpTestEX_mod2_marwin)
Would someone have any ideia to help?
I appreciate for your attention and sorry for the English.
I recently ran into a similar problem when I tried to unlock my bootloader. It may different but I had to use fastboot and flash the original uboot and xloader I think they were called. Not sure if it will help but you can look into it more. Basicly my computer wasnt recognizing my phone in adb devices like it sounds like yours is doing as well. Flashing that fixed it for me.

Hello everyone, I'm here because someone told me to write here about my problem while trying to root my cellphone. As the tittle shows, it is a LG L70 with android 4.4.2 (KitKat). Well, here it goes:
I've been looking for many different ways to root my phone since I have been having some troubles with its storage, so I looked for solutions and everyone told me that I need to root my phone, so I'm trying, but there is no app, or pc program able to do it. I found about "Purple Drake" and it was supossed to be the solution to my problem but at the end it wasn't. While making the process to root my phone it shows a message like this:
Error: Your phone is not running a compatible software version. No vulnerable mode detected, rebooting phone.
We tried to temproot you, and it didn't work. This phone isn't vulnerable, it would appear.
Please post on XDA with your phone model, carrier, and SW version.
Well... My phone is a LG L70 (LGMS323) with android 4.4.2, the software version is MS32310c (but, in the purple drake software it appears as "V10c"). It used to be from MPCS but it was changed to "Movistar" (A mexican company), anyway in the software it stills appearing as a MPCS phone. I really need somebody to help me, as I said before I have many problems with the storage of the phone and I need to solve them, but to do so I need to root the phone.
That's it, I hope you can help me. Thank you for reading. Happy new year

patience and some curiosities searching the forums
youll have to downgrade your firmware and then find the correct root process
just a lil research ;D
it is capable
/ wont happen unless stated above
through a website i.e; tr
wont affect anything. tr doesnt have the capabilities lgs c update rther discombobulated that from being worked out yet but devs are deffinatly curious yet kinda lost intrest.
so can anyone post a link for a guide to downgrade the firmware please
I have tried with TOWELROOT V 1.0 and V3 ... KINGROOT PC AND PHONE, ROOT GENIUS... and some other. but none has been useful to me..
the problem that I have is the file got lost me incidentally VOLD.FSTAB I not the lborre, simply I lost it in a disconnection of the memory without deactivating it....
all the attempts of root have failed.
I knew that for the LG D2 MINI D618 alone works the towelroot v1 but nevertheless neither this version nor the most recent helped me to be able root
please I need help for the recovery of this file and if it is possible to detect the external memory. thank you thank you very much.
