Hello everyone
I have a problem with my phone. I have flashed it several times until i got the ROM i needed, but in one of the wipes i did (cache, dalvik, internal storage, accidentaly deleted the backup too), i came across that is not detecting my SIM card, the usual SIM Management app is not active and i dont know how to configure it. Its like it detects the SIM is there (because it doesnt show the empty slot alert) but it doesnt give me the option to use that network.
I've read about it could be a IMEI problem but i also moded those to the default ones found on my phone, and its still not working, or should i mod them to the SIM IMEI?
Please i need help with this badly, i am kinda desperate about it.
I will appreciate so much any kind of help you can provide me.

Hello, today I got a live demo unit from Samsung, but it's a small problem, in this device, it is not possible to use the phone part, it is possible to fix this? phone is not locked, and the sim card is in working, and all apn is i order, but it wont register on the network.

the raido is working, becasue WIfi is working, the same with thew bluetooth, so it seems to be loocked for use of sim cards.

Hello Jespersen84. Seems like i9300 live demo units don't have their own IMEI (they all have the same) and the EFS folder isn't complete, some files are missing.
You can use everything, except phone calls, sms, mms and 3G data.

but i was hoping it can be fixed, maybe change imei, or is it possible to copy the files that are missing to the efs folder?
i have tried to root it, i have installed new custom rom, nothing wil work, i thing i have to cange the IMEI to get it to work.

Change IMEI is illegal and against XDA rules .

I need help! Recently i have found ways to swap out internal and external sd card so i can download bigger games files on my phone. But i ended up partially bricking my phone! I have change my vold.fstab and after rebooting my phone, i went to access "My Files". But, the phone says "No SD Card Inserted". I tried to change it back but i found out that i forgot to backup the original vold.fstab. Now i can't even access it through my computer to change it back. I really need someone who is experience to help me out of this! I tried hard reset and factory reset. This is a new phone so i hope i don't have to get a hell out of beating from my mum.:crying:
P.S. i am using Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 <Rooted>
If there is any other information you need about my phone please ask me and i will tell you. I really need to get this phone back up to normal.
Please feel free to PM me the solution or post it here to help others who is like me...

Hey, just reflash stock rom or flash a custom rom. And remember to take backup of ur important data

Way to not realize he can't access his SD card
Sent from my DROID2 using xda premium
Extract a stock ROM of your device, and replace the void.fstab on your device with the one in the zip.
This should do it.

First of all, i would like to thank everyone for replying to my post so soon to help me out. Regarding what you said, you say to extract stock ROM of my device and replace the void.fstab with the one in the zip? Can i please know how to do it. Maybe the steps on how to do so or a video. And i still can't access SD Card. Thanks alot!
Hi, It's been like 3 months I bought s2 from a friend and he told me that it's internal memory is corrupted,
I have no clue how to solve this or even give it a term and search for it,
The phone wipes all the data on every restart, and every time I have to set-up the OS from the beginning.
And the phone isn't showing internal memory.
Is this issue fixable or should i stop trying?
I will be really thankful if somebody guides me.
Please I really want to resolve this problem.

does each restart really wipes the os? Which rom,kernel are you using?
Are you rooted?
Have you tried a factory reset?
Either dont restart it or look into pit files.

I flashed the Rom Angels & Demons, because it looked interesting. But after flashing and rebooting I realised, that it didn't contain german language support, which seems weird, because there were so many other languages available.
So I decided to use my old rom, which I backed up before. After selecting the restore option and the backup from the sd card it didn't restore. I got an error saying “cannot restore system–mounted read only”
I have no idea, what to do now. Please help. I tried it 4 times and wiped the data and cache etc

I would love to, if I would know what solved it.
Here's what I did:
After finding out than A&D-Rom didn't have german language I tried to restore my backup. But that didn't work and I posted that issue. Then I though ''what the hell...'' and tried a delirium aosp rom I had on my sd card and never tried. I tried it for a moment, went back to twrp and it asked me for an option, that i could enable, something like ''allowing modification'' or sth. I allowed it by swiping. I don't know why that option appeared. Then i tried restoring my backup and after 125 second it successfully restored it.
