Please keep in mind, omni is still work in progress, so some glitches are expected, if you face any bug, please add a log or at least step by step information to reproduce it and report it at gerrit.omnirom.org (unmerged changes), jira.omnirom.org (merged changes) or at the bug tracker. If you can't provide the needed information to reproduce it or a log, post it here.
Please keep in mind, if you use your own mods, kernel or any other modification which isn't shipped with the rom, try first if it's working without the modifications before reporting or asking about it.
FAQ
4.4
Q: My singal indicator shows only one bar, why so weak?
The signal itself isn't that weak, it's just a graphical glitch showing it as weak.
Q: I got an error within recovery, what to do?
See, prerequesits
Q: My camera doesn't work, how to get it fixed?
At first opening the camera the system will crash, but when it booted up afterwards the camera works.
4.3
Q: Mobile data doesn't work, how to fix it?
Search for the apn settings for your provider and add them manually
Q: Active display kills my battery, what to do?
Active Display uses much juice if the pocket mode is enbaled, because the proximity sensor is used, if it drains too fast, turn pocket mode off and let the notification redisplay instead (half an hour or hour isn't a bad interval and won't use that much juice).
Q: Where to find the Multi-Window feature?
Go to the recent activity list (long press home), long press the activity you like to have in Multi-Window and choose add to splitview from the contextmenu.

Can I ask? if I wanna ask? Where do I ask? Ha ha ha

What you mean by restore, if you talk about restoring with titanium or similar, doesn't work most of the time, just search for them and type them in manually under settings - > more - > mobile networks and it should work fine (at least for everyone else, where mobile data didn't work out of the box it worked).

Since Omni is currently mostly an AOSP rom with a few goodies and tweaks, I found the following Xposed mod works perfectly and brings with it a few very nice, yet sorely missed features to this rom. Till these are implemented, we can it them instead
Gravity Box - Screenshot on Power Menu, QuickSettings Tile Management, Navigation Bar Tweaks and a whole bunch of others.
XuiMod - BatteryBar as found on SlimBean
Tinted Status Bar - As the titles says, changes the status bar colour to match the currently running app
I only tested these so far and they work very well and there is no battery drain or perceptible performance decrease.
Welcome to my first Android-Project
This kernel is based on CyanogenMod kernel by arco68.
Features:
- BLN Support
Requirements:
1. A GT-I9195 or GT-I9190
2. CyanogenMod 10.2 or 11.0 or any rom based on that.
Feature-Requirements:
1. BLN App by "neldar" from the Play Store. You can download the Free-Version or buy the Pro-Version with additional functionality.
How to install:
1. Flash Kernel.zip with CWM (Video)
Attention:
I don't take the responsibility for anything. Flash on own risk! Always make a Nandroid-Backup before flashing!
Download
CyanogenMod 11.0 Versions: BLN is already integrated into CM11, so there is no need to flash this outdated kernel!
GT-I9195 Mirror
GT-I9190 Mirror
CyanogenMod 10.2 Versions:
GT-I9195 Mirror
GT-I9190 Mirror
Known Bugs:
- If you activate bln in the bln app and the bln test doesn't work, you have to close the app with the backbutton and start it again. Then pushing the test field and turning off your display should trigger the touchkey lights.
Battery Drain:
I activated bln and let the touchkeys light up for a whole hour and I lost 1% battery at this time. On the same scenario with the app NoLED, my loss was 4%. I also monitored the cpu with cpu spy and found out that while the NoLED notification was ongoing, my device never entered deepsleep. It was stuck on 384mhz the whole time, while with bln it was in deepsleep. Please notice that blinking consumes more energy than static backlight!
Remark:
This is my first android-project! So please be leniently with me, as I can't fulfill all your wishes in further development.
Anyway, I wish you fun with this kernel and please report in this thread about bugs etc...
Huge thanks goes out to proxuser! This wouldn't be possible without his tutorials on how to built kernel and carbon rom for the s4 mini.
And of course to arco68 who made the base for s4 mini development.

Hi there,
I have my S4 Rom adapted for the Nexus 5. This, of course, you are allowed to test.
Objective:
The goal is to create a suitable for everyday use Rom, without compromise. The Rom it is created the current AOKP source code. As this source code from me in the near future for other devices (HTC one, Nexus 4, ...) is used, I am creating an app where just upload here the additional functions via OTA.
Rom Features:
AOKP code from 02/02/2014
Myhub Support
Busybox Installer (system / app)
Ex-Themer (system / app)
Gravitybox (system / app)
Kernel Tweaker (system / app)
Notification Toogle (system / app)
Xposed Installer (system / app)
ZIPme (system / app)
ro.sf.lcd_density set to 460 (default 480)
Lockring Icon exchanged
Hacker Kernel for Nexus 5 (Alpha Test)
Rom Control of AOKP team
Fast and Stable
More Follows
First Rom flash:
Your Nexus 5 must be unlocked, rooted and have a custom recovery.
Invites you down the Rom and Gapps.
Boot into recovery and make a backup.
After the backup, please make a Fullwipe!
Flash the Rom and Gapps.
Wipe Dalvik and Wipe Cache.
Reboot.
Update:
Invites you down the Rom and Gapps.
Boot into recovery and make a backup.
Flash the Rom and Gapps.
Wipe Dalvik and Wipe Cache.
Reboot
Tip: The hacker kernel consists of the current Cm kernel code. This is modded by me and somewhat improved. Since this CM code currently gets a few major changes, I recommend you here to the Franco kernel after reflashing!
Disclaimer:
For any damage that may result from flashing the ROM or the kernel is not stuck!

Hi,
Just one thing, since you have integrated some Xposed stuff, you should mention that your rom is not compatible with ART runtime.
Something like this, from the Xposed Framework thread:
After installing Xposed, the runtime gets reset from ART to Dalvik. Can you stop it please?
You can be glad that I implemented this, otherwise you would be in a bootloop know. Xposed isn't compatible with ART (yet). It's a completely different architecture with pretty much no documentation. Rewriting Xposed for the ART runtime requires understanding the concept, the code structure and many details to know how it works. I have already spent dozens of hours on that and some things are working. But still it's a long way ahead. Don't expect even a test version in the near future. So please don't ask when it will be available - you will surely know when it is ready. I have nothing else to say about that.
Click to collapse
Because for sure you'll have some people asking for ART compatibility or why when they switch to ART it remains back to Dalvik, etc...
agrees're right. thank you. I will consider it in the next nightly.

I think I figured it out, its most likely Multirom related. I'm going to retry it tomorrow with a different kernel. I got another AOKP build that wouldn't boot to work by flashing a different kernel on a clean install.

Hello everybody.
While crawling GitHub for some useful modifications, I saw a commit pointing to Moto X having Qualcomm-optimized Dalvik binaries and libs, that most other distributors didn't included, as they don't use the neccesary compiler settings by Qualcomm, including CyanogenMod.
So I took Moto's system Image and extracted those files and put them into a flashable Zip file for you to enjoy
Only tested on stock 44S but should work on any 4.4.4 rom (cm/aosp).
TL;DR > These files will make your One fly using Dalvik, result is clearly noticable and for my feeling even quicker than ART!
Enjoy!
What does this mod do?
It speeds up JIT-compiling by using more Qualcomm-optimized libs and binaries. (Dalvik only, no need to run on ART anymore!)
Known Issues:
- Sensors not working for some users (fixed)
New version that hopefully fixes sensor issues:

If you face any issues, you may safely Revert to Stock.

The camera is broken, none of the cam types work.
The device actually looks much smoother (maybe a placebo effect), but cause some problems.
Looks that need more testing before the final release.

strange, as i haven't got any issues using these binaries... never thought that it would make such a difference from one's one to another

yes, it would unroot the one. i have a flashable zip that enables the integrated superuser (just net to do "setprop persist.sys.root_access=3" within terminal as root to make the superuser settings visible), it even revives itself after an update so it's good to use.

Anyone tested this?
I´ve installed it and after the automatic brightness doesn´t work. ALways goes on full brightness.

for me everything works flawlessly.. but some others seem to have problems with camera and auto brightness, so i suggest you making a backup, just in case

Because I believe we already have this... What kind of better speed you noticed? Did you stress on any benchmark to see diferences ?
