Hey fellow XDA'ers.
Recently my brother opened up ports on his router to de-restrict the NAT settings for online gaming. After doing so when I connect via WiFi it connects but I'm not able to surf etc. After trying to figure out a solution I setup a static I.P using my P.C's I.P config. It is now working but I never had to use a static I.P before and my mum can connect with her Galaxy Y as usual, same with my brother, he can connect with his Galaxy S3 without problems. I tried restoring a backup via CWM to see if it would make a difference but it still connects but doesn't let me surf. I also tried 'refreshing' my WiFi settings by 'forgetting' my router then connecting and entering the password but still it has the problem..
Can anyone shed some light on this confusing issue I'm facing?
Much obliged!

If there are 43 views it doesn't mean all the 43 persons know an answer.

Ahhh but I didn't say all 43 viewers knew the answer to my problem did I Android-fany?
It seems the problem has fixed itself for now anyway, I turned off the static I.P setting and went back to how I usually use WiFi and it seems to be working fine.. Lol the s5830i never ceases to amaze me!

Hi there
If anybody knows how to Jtag neo
or has tools or methods or making hardware for this job I'll thank if tell me.
I;m really interested in.
Thanks a lot
A jTag is made by modders. It enables you to host mw2 tenth prestige lobbies, glitch hacks, it lets you de rank people. You can go online but you have to have never upgraded to the new dashboard. Its super easy to get banned but they came out with a way to unban the xbox by getting arrod death xbox and swapping the cpu keys or some type of key and it pretty much is like telling your system that it has the red ring of death but in actuality it lets you play. But, the xbox can keep getting banned. As long as there are rich kids in the world they can keep modding.
Never even herd of jtagging Neo or any mobile android ever

I'm getting a problem where something is automatically turning on my wifi after a little while of sleeping in my pocket. Anyone else have this? Any method to see what is doing it?

Look through alot of threads on xda. There are alot of good suggestions on here. Some help some people and some help others. I myself have had this issue also. I've swapoed kernels, flashed back to stock, etc.etc. Right now i'm trying a free market app called fixr wifi fix and it seems to be working but only time will tell. If you try it and it helps just hit the thanks button.

Hi,
I'm having a no service problem for two weeks... the only way to recover the signal is rebooting... tryied wipe cache, change modem... nothing could help me...
And I think I got whats happening today... When I lost the signal, like in a elevator, it gives up trying to search for signal again...
I'm using cMIUI, and i don't want to change the ROM, but if it's the last shot... well, I'll do... but as a last shot!
I already used some MIUIs and Cyanogens and never happened that to me, only using this cMIUI...
Thanks!
Try an app from the play store called fresh network. Works for me.

if you don't wanna try out different ROMS, then why not flash a different modem?
if it still doesn't work for you, then you seriously have to flash another ROM for that
cheers
Hi guys!
I have a problem with my Sgs II. Since I've installed Cm10 I'm flashing every Nightly version, but all the time I have one problem. Sometimes my sgs turns offline, and then I have only emergency calls and I have to enter pin code.
How to solve IT? It's horrible because Sometimes I don't know that It's turned offline and then nobody can call me.

rules what are they meant for?? Damn..! i feel glad to see ur post..! thers a q n a thread doing rounds for cm10 and look dis guy posts in dev area.. lol..
On a 2nd note cm10 is not stable.. if u want stability use stock roms or cm9...
At least help the guy, mate cm10 has a ril crash problem. Basically, the network part of the phone crashes (the sim connectivity part)
You should go to CM9 stable and try CM10 later when it has matured in to a better state. Please post in the right section next time.

PS- also see if ur 'IMEI' no is intact
I've tried getril and we will See what's gonna be now. Thanks bro!

Can anyone tell me why i flash a stock rom by ODIN with full wipe but then my phone still has ril crash. So i assume that flashing a stock rom can't solve this problem. Is it right?
This is so ugly problem with me. SO PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. Is there anyway to fix this problem fully??
I had this all the time with JB roms, however when I changed the stock CM kernel to dorixmanx (currently using the 7.11 version) they've stopped. Might wanna give it a try and see if it works for u?

Try Getril app to ensure baseband matches the modem. This can help also.
I see you've tried the app with no success, see further info in this thread about ril crashes. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881304

Hello friends is there any way to increase the WiFi connectivity?? I'm currently using Real ICS lite r4 and kernal panic.
My friend uses the laptop's WiFi greatly all the time but my st15i can't even connect to the WiFi.. I thought laptops have high connectivity than mobile but his Samsung galaxy ace also connects to WiFi and he can browse with ease(though he can't download). The WiFi is common WiFi in our hostel campus, its security is open but we have to input the ip address manualy in order to connect. So is there any app for that? Or is there any tweaks?

There are few tweaks in tiwlan.ini. Check my tutorial in my sig.
That's all you can do. The max you can get from your phone, you would have to do deep kernel editing to make the wifi stronger, at the same time hoping to not f**k it up.

Checked it, its already changed to the values you mentioned , bro...:banghead:
No luck..
(btw I'm using a custom rom)
I actually tried many custom ROM and Custom Kernal still I can't use the WiFi....
Im worried that often flashing Kernal and Rom degrades my mobile.. Is it true? Is there limit for flashing?

I think that's maybe a bit true but not so to be counting on every change you make to your phone. I have friends that test ROM's with their Xperia mini Pro and use them as main phone and they have no problem with battery life or device. So you can try out Kernels and ROM's but be careful in the way you do it
Good Luck!

Hmmmmm does often using your phone corrupt your memory card? Does often using your computer corrupt your hard drive? You can't really say! Failure of a memory storage device depends on numerous factors. Every memory storage device fails someday but that someday is unpredictable and that day must be atleast few years away (you are not going to use the same phone for another 6 years, are you???)
