I have a HTC EVO flashed to boost with 3g working using a design as a donor ive tried everything i can think of to get the info out of the design to get 4g working and nothing if anyone could help i would appreciate it...when i try to get the password for data restarts...how do i get 4g working?

Hi guys,
I am seeking help to configure data connectivity on my HTC Evo running on Telus Canada. Voice and SMS work flawlessly but data is no go.
The one key thing that I've noticed is that the HTC Evo doesn't seem to have an APN config option. I have tried to re-adapt different configuration but I've had no luck so far.
If anyone is using HTC Evo on Telus in Canada, your knowledge and experience will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I hadn't updated this thread. I now have HTC Evo working on Telus. Voice, SMS and Data. I initially had problems with slow data but with slight tweaking, I now have up 1700kbps download and 800kps upload speed. I feel so alive with this phone right now. Only glitch that I need to find a way around is not being able to use data while taking a call. Kinda dumb limitation but it doesn't bother me. I rarely use my phone for calls.
So yeah, get to work guys! The dream is indeed possible.

I know this is an older thread (September) but I just wanted to re-check because no other forums posts anywhere ain Canada have anyone using an EVO on Telus. From what I ujnderstood, the CDMA format wasn't really unlockable and interchangable, so the DREAM PHONE EVO was out of our reach. Your news is exciting, but hard to believe. Can you offer any more details at all? Does Telus support foreign unlocked phones? WOW. if so.
Sorry to revive an old thread but I have the same problem as the first post on my EVO. Talk and SMS works great but I have no data at all... No 1x, no EvDO. What do I need to do to get it work? It's a great phone but I need my data connection.
I am fairly at ease with tools like QPST and QXDM so don't waste your time overexplaining things!
From what I understand, typically I am supposed to have at least 1x data without any username/password, just get authenticated by the network. Howerver it is not the case. No connection.
Please help me.
Any one have any thoughts?? Im having the same no data problem on bel i got it to the point once where it authenticated and then said protocoll errors. have not been able to get it to that point. and im ready to almost give up ;(
I have a HTC Evo 3D that has been flashed to Boost Mobile from Sprint, the donor phone was a Sanyo Incognito. Everything seems to work sms, mms,internet( really slow like 56k),android market, and phone. But what I have noticed is that when I go to update the software, PRL, or any type of system update it seem to bring up error 67 (data call failure). How can I resolve this problem that is bothering my device.
Probably won't work cuz ur not on sprint. Root ur phone and change everything yourself.

My Tbolt net access point info is all verizon and I cant send pic messages. Also my signal is very low, 1X only or not at all, almost never see the 3G symbol. The shop that flashed it I think did a crappy job. Im on the Jimmy Dean ROM. I tried flashing different Radios and that didnt work or made my android.phone.com software not work and kept show the error on screen. Is my Access Point info right? and how do I get my pic messages and 3G signal working correctly? Help!! Someone please point me in the right direction....
Afraid it wasnt flashed correctly they.only got the talk and text radio to stick with ur info the data radio some.times can be a pain to.get it written too, go to mycrickertforum theres a.few tuturiols there. Took me a week to.get 3g but well.worth the work can talk and surf.at the same time!!And flash over the 3.5 infected Rom runs great and pic messaging works!

I now want to flash a One SV or a Boost Force (made by ZTE) to have 4G as part of my service as well.
Would this be possible? With regard to flashing LTE from phones, is that plausible in this case? I have CDMA paid and other tools. I want information before I attempt to tackle this project.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Honestly, your treading open water there, (I'm betting) your not gonna find anyone to offer any input simply because very little to few have even attempted yet...I would have already myself, as I work exclusively with flashing to Boost, but unfortunately, Columbus doesn't have LTE yet. I can tell you though, that the second we get it up and running out here I will dive into it and definitely report back here if no one else hasn't yet.
Would love to hear how it went for you if you try it, a nice tutorial would even be nicer . Good luck with it, either way. BTW, I have heard it is definitely plausible.

I am trying something similar with a note 2 from sprint it has the lte sim card mod on it trying 2 get the lg optimus f7 since it has a sim card on boost for 4g lte.

My brother recently has his Note 2 stolen. As a temporary replacement, I lent him my old EVO 3D running CM10. When he went to activate it, Sprint obviously could not do anything. He really needs this phone working ASAP as he is at work right now and needs to have a phone. I know flashing a Sense ROM could make the phone activate, but he has no network connectivity to download a new ROM.
Is there any way whatsoever to get the phone to activate with CM10? Maybe a ## code where you can change your number so Sprint will recognize it? The only thing I tried was doing a Factory Reset from TWRP, but that did not work. He did get signal after a factory reset, but it did not activate. Any help is greatly appreciated.
