so I just got my htc's S-OFF and now I want to install stock developer edition RUU but don't know how. I went to HTCdev to download an RUU file but there are so many different files to download. what are the differences between the regions and carriers? what is WWE region? should I download USA for region, and HTC for carrier? also why 4.2.2 is not available yet?
Wwe I am pretty sure is just universal English and as for 4.2.2 that would be pretty obvious I think you can figure that out for yourself

I did the brightstar ruu for the US you need to make sure you change your CID to the brightstar one and it will work like a charm... I did this last night

Hi guys, I have T-Mobile version. So, I have unlocked, S-OFF, changed to CID to 111111 and installed custom recovery. So now, am I able to have official firmware and software updates from T-Mobile or should I install Developer RUU from HTC? If I want to install Developer Edition RUU, which one should I choose? I have checked HTC website and I am lost .
Thank you!

if you want to install the RUU and make ur tmobile one a dev edition you should install it from here http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
should be the very top/first link on the list.
t-mobile havent released the RUU for their htc one variant yet... making very difficult for those who flashed a custom recovery and now want to go back to its original state and be able to instal ota updates again.
make sure ur CID have 11111111 (eight ones!!) before installing

Thanks for answer. I have a one more question though. What are the advantages and disadvantages of installing Dev RUU? When I install Dev RUU, am I going to able get official software and firmware updates directly from HTC instead of T-Mobile?

I have final question . When I install Dev RUU, do I need to flash Radio seperately for T-Mobile or it is inside of RUU? If yes, how can I flash Radio?
Thank you very much!

No need to install radio

i think if you install dev ruu and changed your cid to the dev version you might be able to get otas directly from htc

Ok than, that means DEV RUU doesn't flash Radio. I red different about it on different topic, that's why I just wanted to make sure.

even if it did it would still work. im on tmo with the leaked 4.2 radio and it works fine
tmobile dev edition wont install ota..but it can check and find it?
i have the t-mobile htc one that i hcnaged to the dev edition. there was an ota update today (1.29.1540.17) and when it tried to install, it said that I am running a modified version of the system and to protect my phone, that it cannot update it.
i am not running anything modified... my phone is unlocked and s-off but nothing more...not rooted...no custom recovery...nada....... do i need to make it s-on or something ?
I'm looking to see how difficult it would be to revert to a stock AT&T HTC One from GPe 4.3 Hboot 1.54. The method I was going to try is below:
1. Change CID back to stock.
2. Relock
3. Run the 1.26 Cingular RUU exe
Is that method plausible? Or, would I have to downgrade Hboot back to 1.44 first?
In that case would it be:
1. Change CID back to stock.
2. Downgrade Hboot.
3. Relock
4. Run the 1.26 Cingular RUU exe
I'm not even too sure I even want to downgrade, I just wanted to get a gameplan just in case I decide one day to.
Also, would the RUU turn my phone back to S-On?
Thanks in advance for any help that you can lend me. I see conflicting information out in the wild, so I wanted to get the professionals take.
If you changed your mid you will need to change that back or the ota updates won't work

The att stock and gpe have the same mid so he only needs to revert the cid back to cws__001 and he is good. The only time you need to change the mid is if you are converting the att/dev/gpe edition to an European international edition since that is a different mid.

I have the original stock rom for the Droid DNA. Right now I am rooted, S-Off, and unlocked. I want to return the phone to stock but unfortunately If I do that I have to use the method where I get the CID 2222222 and I get that warning message when the phone boots up. I don't wanna see that. I have a possible trade/sale going on and I want to know my options.
All of the stock roms here have no radio or kernel. And no one is saying how to get the radio or kernels for 2.06. Just asking for a little clarification and any help is appreciated.
There is a 2.06 firmware zip somewhere...

just flash the stock radio in fastboot as for stock kernel look for insecure kernel in og section and you must go into theme area where there is a thread for flashing a hboot from stock to rid your self of that message
Te radios updated but not the software. Radio is based off te 2.06 software update but the actual software still reads 1.15. Could it be because I am SuperCID and unlocked with S-OFF I cant update the software version?
I recently converted by AT&T version to a Google Edition via S-OFF, CID change and Google 4.4 RUU.
AT&T has tried to issue me unlock codes twice, but neither works. I'm using an old t-mobile SIM to attempt the unlock.
Does anyone know if maybe updating the CID impacts the ability to use a carrier unlock code?

Install a stock at&t ROM and try again. In multiple threads it has been said that the at&t unlock code only works on stock roms

I just unlocked on a att stock rom, 4.3 to be exact. Then restored.
