[ISO] Stock AT&T Recovery - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I've had issues with TWRP and it's not mounting anything. After trying multiple things I still haven't had any luck getting it to mount anything. So, it was suggested by Flyhalf to flash stock recovery and try a factory reset from hboot. However, I'm not having any luck locating a stock recovery for AT&T, nor an RUU. Anyone out there have the stock recovery they can hook me up with? Thanks...

Need help to get root

I got my Evo 3d off Craigslist this morning and i love it. Traded my Evo 4g plus cash for it and i couldnt be happier. I was very successful in rooting the 4g amd never had any problems that i can think of and im hoping the same goes for the 3d.
Anyways ive been reading and reading on how to root it, get s-off so i can install a recovery and them flash a rom and kernel. Ive managed to confuse myself because it seems that if you root it one way, you may not be able tp fash custom kernels and if you use another method to root it, your more than like to have all sorts of problems.
Basicall i need help and if someone could post a link to show me best method on how to root, s-off, install custom recovery, and install a rom on the 3d it would be greatly appreciated.
I have Sprint (cdma) Android 2.3.4. Software # 2.08.651.2 hboot 1.5, baseband 0.97.10.0808

I ended up goin a different route by using the HTC unlcock bootloader and that was suscessful. I still have s on and I think I'm gonna keep it that way for now but I need to install a custom recovery.
I've tried setting up sdk all morning and can't get the cmd to recognize adbas an interal or external command. Not sure what exactly it is that in doing wrong.
I wanting to know if there'sa way to install my first custom recovery thru the bootloader in my phone without using my computer so I can flash the su.zip and get this thing rooted. Thanks

The twrp recovery has a method to flash that recovery without a computer by downloading it as a zip and naming it properly. See their site for detail.
I still recommend s-off since it is easier to flash Roms and the ics Roms tend to bootloop with s-on.

I dowloaded and renamed it to PC86100IMG.zip then went to bootloader, it read the zip but said "update fail, main version older!" Have any idea as to why its saying that?

I was finally able to get adb recognized but when I type adb reboot bootloader it gets into the bootloader just fine but when i type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img it "fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external demand"
I'm using jtniggles unlock hboot 1.5, twrp recovery, root ,flash

It looks like you renamed it to the wrong thing. If you downloaded TWRP 2.2.0 zip, it must be renamed PG86IMG.zip on the root of the sd card. Then when you update in bootloader, it should work.

Hmmm... Does your phone boot? If so, you could download 4ext (see my signature) and install their app. Then it will push the custom recovery for you. I use 4ext myself anyway.
I tried using their app already and it won't let me since I don't have root

Just wanted to give you a thanks again for all your help. I was finally able to figure out why adb wasn't working. Once thaat was fixed, I installed twrp recovery and flashed Su.then did the wire trick which me VERY nervous but it worked and got S-Off after a couple tries and I then installed 4ext recovery from which I understand is the best recovery available. Thanks again!

Your welcome. Glad you figured it out. I personally have never had an issue with the 4ext recovery.

Brick updating firmware

So this morning I decided to update my firmware from the PJ75IMG.zip. I booted back to and while I was in the bootload a factor reset was done by accident. Now my operating system is now erased. S-off'ed with lazy panda. Also, i have no backup because my Vista crashed a week ago. Sprint will replace my phone, but is there any possibility of unbricking now?

Bricked- A device state in which you can NOT get to bootloader, Recovery or standard installed OS.

There have been quite a few cases of this.
You can try the lazypanda unbricker but it probably wont work

Sorry to hear that. I believe you're gonna need a pc to try to do anything towards fixing it. Try an RUU. You can always get a replacement before they start giving out refurbs.

If you can access recovery you can flash a rom. Your other option would be to run the ruu. You will never get your data back though.

Recovery screwed up by superwipe and rom stuck on startup screen

I cant seem to get Viper rom to work. I used superwipe and there was an error. Cleared system and data and cache. Flashed rom, then fastbooted boot.img. Rom is stuck in htc screen and recovery flashes on for a quick moment then goes dark and phone reboots. Ideas please. Thanks
Which recovery did you use? If you used TWRP you should use 2.3.3.0 for the ROMs with aroma installers. Did you try simply reflashing recovery?

I think he did ruu and everything went back to normal, since he says he restored to original and theres no way he could do that from recovery, I have a thread named the brick thread, try the solutions in there, on my case ruu wasn't working either and recovery was looping too , I had to use ruu mode, however I don't know what Dan did and I may be wrong, but this could work

Before running the ruu, try just re-flashing recovery from fastboot. Instructions can be found in either the TWRP or ClockworkMod thread.
Also, pay attention to somerandomname1's advice above.
Working again.
Looks like that Re-RUUing Stock, Re S-OFF DirtyRacun (I'm used to this method), then flashing TWRP 2.3.3.0 Got ViperLTE Installed Properly. Thanks.

95% Bricked, Help!

So here's the situation, I rooted my phone. Decided to switch around ROMS (ViperX+ and CyanMod 10.2). But neither of them booted. I accidently wiped my whole SD and Data so nothings on my device anymore, No OS or ROMS to flash. Finally was able to push a file through "adb push /Vipers+ /sdcard" . but then that OS did not work either. And it was built exactly for my phone (AT&T One X+). So I know the ROM should be working. So now little scared me just wants to go back to stock and unroot the phone. The issue is I can't find the right RUU. If anyone could help me with finding that I would be most grateful... Any idea what's on it now? Check the rom info in Settings, About Phone.
Also power it off, pull the battery, put it back in and turn the phone back on while holding Volume down, that'll get you the bootloader. See what version you have and if it's s-on or s-off.
From there you can select Recovery on the menu and boot into it, see what recovery you have.
Let us know and we can go from there.

You are already unlocked and have Amon Ra recovery installed, the "hard" stuff is done (actually it's not hard), and FYI you are S-ON... You are pretty good to go for any ICS based ROM. If you want to move into JellyBean or KitKat based ROMs you should switch to TWRP or CWM Recovery. Other than that, your good to go.
Ok, thanks a bunch! Ive done tons of reading about flashing roms and am still a little weary about the actual process. Ive read that a computer is needed in some cases but in others people are switching roms right from their phone- whats the safest or correct way to do it?

Although there are ways around it (that I don't recommend, mind you) the rule of thumb is based on whether you are S-ON or S-OFF...
When S-ON, a computer has to be involved so that the boot.img can be loaded... you must either: A) flash the boot.img manually with fastboot after flashing the ROM in recovery, or B) boot the recovery image file with fastboot and flash the ROM file
When S-OFF, no computer is required, all partitions of the phone are writable by recovery directly.

Don't forget you can use the phone (or a computer) to pack the boot.img into a PH98IMG.zip. As long as it boots, that is.
Hi All,
I am also new at rooting the Rezound and I'm having trouble. I did quite a bit of reading and followed the instructions here: theunlockr.com/2012/08/24/how-to-root-the-htc-rezound-video/
Apparently this was for an older version because I can't install ClockworkMod Recovery ("an error occurred ..."). I read that getting a backup of ClockworkMod Recovery was the best thing to do before installing any ROMs. Is that really necessary? It seems like I could always find an RUU on this site and flash back to ICS if I wanted to right?
Can some one point me in the right direction for what I should do next? Basically all I want to do is flash a ROM on my Rezound that will enable me to use it as a wall controller for my home automation system. So, ideally I'd like to remove the swipe to unlock feature (just be able to press the power button to get to the home screen) and to be able to force a nightly reboot with Tasker and remove as much bloatware as possible. This device is connected to my home network through wifi only. Any ideas what the best ROM would be for that?
By the way my recovery screen looks like undeadking's. I have S-On.
Thanks!

Easiest way to get where you want is to HTC unlock if not already done,
S-0ff with RumRunner, then follow this thread with all its great stuff:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2509770
You will end up with newest radios that are best for newer stock and custom roms.
There are several daily-user type custom roms mentioned in Development.
After you read a little about each, you'll know what you want to try first.
I like the custom Sense roms for best battery life.

There are ways using terminal emulator with an s-on device alongside using a proper busybox installation to flash without using a pc and no fastboot/hboot access is needed. flashing a boot.img while in rom, rebooting to recovery and finish installing the matching rom by flashing its zip.

the one big issue you need to worry about while being s-on is if you soft brick while s-on there is absolutely almost no fix...with s-off you con ruu.exe to safely restore your phone which you cannot do while s-on....if you plan on flashing custom roms alot than i HIGHLY suggest going s-off or you'll regret not doing so when that time comes
