Clearly the ROM isn't ported and requires to modified to work with MDPI. You can do this by down-scaling your icons to work with our MDPI device.
u proably used Galaxy Y rom
what u need to do is use acei original layout or compare them in all ! apks
and set screen in build.prop to 160

Hello,
I have made Custom Touchwiz 3.0 (replaced Touchwiz 3.0 icons with Touchwiz 4.0), looks great
Instructions [Root your phone & install busybox]
Copy and replace all .apk files to sd card/app and reboot
SCREENSHOTS
Customised TW further with transparent background icons , try this it should work with all froyo roms
For deodexed roms use RootedLP4
i made it too XD,very nice
gives a bootloop in indroid 4.2
had to adb push touchwiz launcher inorder to boot......
pls take a backup of your files that are about to be overwritten
works great^^ test it again on xwjpf and jpn
I have just done it but you were faster so I wont post
Should work great on all froyo roms although not tested on all roms

It's nice with those icons, but is there a change you could remove those backgrounds behind the other icons? (the color ones?)

You can just replace all .png(s) that are icon background with transparent ones. Easy but tedious.

Hmmm.. I made it just from that twlauncher which was in the first post and switched app drawer backtabs to transparent... It took about 5 minutes to copy them from another twlauncher which is fully transparent. Didn't test it so don't know what is the problem.
Edit: Oups, didn't notice that drnishant123 made his own, working version.
This is my 2nd CM7 theme,i have used HTC.Elegance-CM7-Theme theme as a template.
thanks to elelinux
link to his theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=993277
Note::
in the first release i hv themed only the things that i use...(i will theme more in the next release)
This is tested on LDPI(also works on MDPI device)... gradually i will port every thing possible to LDPI and MDPI...
currently i will not support HDPI devices(i hv not themed for hdpi)
To do:
change statusbar icons
Code:
[B][U][SIZE="3"]Change log[/SIZE][/U][/B]
sony green 1.0
[LIST]
[*]add green sony background
[*]changed popup prog bar etc
[*]ported some things from stock sony theme
[/LIST]
if you have any bugs feel free to contact me.....
reserved for nothing..
Perhaps a better settings menu with dark blue arc like background (and other stock stuff) would look real good. Apart from that love the battery icon. Great theme. Just make it better.
Edit: Themed icons too if possible.

First of all, thanks to Sonny for his great work!
This is a modified version of his MDPI, originally found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310925
Unfortunately, it doesn't work correctly on the nookCOLOR due to the status bar buttons being too small.
So, I've modified the theme so that the buttons are in the MDPI folder (making them bigger AND clickable).
( added a little bit of ICS color flair )
Let me know what you think!
I like it. Any way u can add the ics wifi icon.
Thanks!
It should already have the right icon ... I just ported the theme.
If you can show me a screenshot, I'll take a look at it.

Nevermind I thought the wifi icon had no breaks in it and it was solid. But just double checked with my ics vibrant and it has wifi strength line breaks in it.Anyways this is my favorite theme right now you did a excellent job. Most of the themes soft buttons were too small these are just the right size.
No prob
I really liked Sonny's theme, which I'm using on my Evo ... just need the buttons to work for the NC

how did you modify the theme? I noticed the LunarUI theme has the exact same problem with the statusbar icons being too small and not in the MDPI folder.

hey buddy, sorry for my stupid questions.. i just want to ask
i've just opened mod systemUI, there is a different between our stock systemUI
our stock systemUI didn't contain drawable-hdpi, but one mod which i've just opened with winrar contain drawable hdpi and did not contain drawble-mdpi....
what the different? does it reduce a little ram? why drawble hdpi run in our mdpi based?
hope any body will answer my question:laugh::laugh::laugh:
It's just images. HDPI images are bigger than MDPI, but it doesn't cause performance issues. The mod might've been built on top of an HDPI-based SystemUI.
Sent from my LT15a using xda app-developers app
Owh... a little understand, but still confused how it can run perfectly on MDPI phone...
any way thx
Android has the ability in itself that it automatically resizes the images from ur hdpi mod to mdpi...basically u can use most of the hdpi mods and it may work for mdpi devices too..
Press THANKS if I helped,
Best Regards,
AJ

As above man.
Hdpi graphics are automatically being scaleing into our density. If this only one app thats not a big problem. But for example in miui v5 everything is hdpi so phone need to scale every app and it take a little ram.
But if you have only some hdpi apps there wont be loose on performance.
What more? For example in build.prop in system if line named
ro.lcd.density 160.
160 is size which have mdpi.
I changed for example to to 140 and everuthong looks better.
If you will change it to dpi which use hdpi devices graphics dont need to be scaled. But it will give probably hard qith using ajd really bad look on our small screens.
If we answered your question change subject of first post to solved.
