Hi Everyone. This First Time I am Posting Here.
My Problem is Streaming Videos Keep Buffering. They Used to Buffer and start playing when my phone was new and suddenly stopped one day .
I Thought Using Custom Rom and Kernel would help but it didn't.
It Happens Not Only With Youtube but Every Streaming Sites.
I have a Slow Internet but Videos Should Buffer and Start Playing but It Just Keep Buffering Forever.
These Are My Phone Specs

Hello people I need help.So before I have had stock clipped 2.1 rom and before that i had 2.3 and Youtube app worked perfect on those ROM's. Now I updated to ICS 4.0.4 (CM9) and when I try to play YouTube video in HQ it starts being laggy as hell... I skips 5 seconds than plays one sec. than skips 5 sec... can anybody help me? I hate watching videos in 240p... It looks liek damn minecraft. :laugh:

MiniCM9 does NOT have hardware encoding/decoding of Video, that is a known problem that is very clearly spelt out in the development section as well as in the RBAP for MiniCM9. Since Qualcomm can't provide the drivers needed for the ICS video-stack to work properly, there won't be a solution anytime soon, or maybe never. So i guess as long as you stay on ICS you will be watching a lot of Minecraft videos

looked through the fora but could not find something maybe someone can help me out.
I have bad lag when i watch flashvideos in my browsers. all of them same lag. standardbrowser, skyfire, mozilla, dolphin.
Anyone with the same problem and even better anyone a solution?
Yeah I started thread couple week ago. It's in a q& a section. Unfortunately, there's no solution as of yet regarding video freezing but sound keep playing when streaming on network. Playing on wifi works fine.
One thing I found helps is restarting phone before starting Netflix for example or watching from browser.
Also note YouTube app does not suffer from this, so sometimes if it's a YouTube video embedded in the Page I just click on video link to be able to watch in the app instead of browser.

mine does the freezing on wifi too.so i am not the only one out there. i got to call samsung holland i guess. can not keep restarting the phone. but tell me what is this Jkay mod? can i do it on a non rooted phone?
Yes I'm also suffering this problem. On network or WiFi on all browsers. Pain in the arse!

Flash doesn't lag on the GS3. But it does freeze frequently. If it lags then very likely you aren't actually using flash but the html5 player instead.
Netflix app does not actually use nor is dependant on flash. Also uninstalling flash completely, so that videos that do play, default to html5, still freeze while sound keeps playing, which leads to conclusion that it's not flash issue.

Try ICS Browser+ from Google play...
Flash videos did lag for me initially, so I tried clearing the application data but that wasn't possible. So I installed flash 10, which was incompatible, then updated it using Google Play to flash 11 and it seems to work better now.

but when u say better u do not mean it works good? and where did you find flash 10? also do you not have standard flash 11
I installed cm10 rom on my tab 10.1 its great and smooth but when I come to playing videos it is very bad, the youtube video lag too much on the app and the browser ... and the downloaded videos from youtube (720p) lag also on the video player ... I did a quaderant benchmark and I noticed somthing, the 2D result is too too low its about 55 and the bar is almost invisible ... so if anyone have the same problem or know the way to fix it please advise me .... THANK YOU

that's how the p7500 handles CM10 ICS or JB.
I'd advise to stick to stock ICS for smooth video, that's the only solution I found

You mean you had the same problem ... and the stock rom is the only way to fix that ??

Stock ICS is worse with YouTube according to many people.

I was on CM10, it crashed and died, had to flash Stock 4.0.4 and, as far as I remember, I could watch YT HD videos quite comfortably, with minor hiccups when some intensive scenes like water ripples, sea were rendered. I then flashed tryptosylls 4.1.2 AOKP and video lags a hell lot now!

I see the same issue in my phone as well. But this happens because of poor hardware acceleration support. U can fix this by adding a line to build.prop file. What u need to do is change or add video.acceleration.hw = 0. 0 means disable and 1 means enable. After changing this, I did not face issues while palying videos on youtube.
Anyway, very hq videos plays good with hw accelation. But still u can try ur luck.

Basically when i'm trying to watch videos using the Youtube app every so often it'll buffer the video which obviously isn't anything new but when it buffers it just doesn't stop and eventually i'll have to back up and open the video again while moving the slider where i was in the video, then it plays again. Sometimes it'll buffer without stopping right after i've refreshed and it's really, REALLY irratating! Can anyone shed some light on this problem i'm facing? Thanks in advance!

Yes it seems a lot of people have this problem, the app itself seems to perform very poorly.
Try using an old version of the app it may help.
Ah i did think it was the app itself and not really anything to do with the rom i'm on at the moment.
Thing is, i used to own a Galaxy S i9000 and although buffering has always been present, it never constantly buffered as much as the YouTube app on the 5830i does.. :what:

if it still have the same problem, download the video instead of watching..!
i always use tubemate and i always download the videos i want to watch in case i want to watch it again

Hmm, never heard of that app before. The thing is, i don't want to have to use a third party app, i should be able to use YouTube on my mobile!
I mean, it's an official Google app and it shouldn't have this issue to be honest..

Suddenly,my 720p video playback got choppy while watching in web (no issues in gallery),and again,this happens only on stock ROM. Can anyone tell what can be the cause,please? This is getting annoying,I can't enjoy watching videos on youtube anymore. The worst thing is,that changing ROMs didn't help.

Nah,man. All videos stutter. In gallery and in internet,too. Also,camera recording isn't smooth anymore,and is also having some lags.
Guess there's something with GPU. Wondering if it can be replaced? Or replacing everything under the hood could help?
