Hey,
i installed both AOKP (R11) and Liquid Smooth (2.5) with Safestrap on my Razr XT910 (wipe and everything b4 install). Everything works fine except after sever minutes (~30min) my wifi stops sending data or only very slow. I noticed this first on youtube when the videos wont continue loading. When i try using chrome afterwards it also loads the site very slow. I tried out all the different setting under wifi connection ( always on, ...)but the only thing that helps is turning the wifi off and back on.
Anybody knows whats causing this and how to fix it?
Dude i have a problem like your...
I can see the network but dont connect =/
O tryed aokp, cyanogen and others and the problem has been happening... My wifi only works with the stock rom.

check yours mac addres ... it changes for no reason ... not just after cm based Rom Install...
not a problem with the MAC adress,it stays the same after the "crashes"
i am having the same issue with the Avatar ROM. wifi works for a while, then just stops passing data. the icon shows it's still connected, just doesn't work...

Does anyone of you also have issues with wifi? I'm on CMv006 with baseband .54 and my wifi doesn't automatically connect when activating it. Sometimes my home network is "disabled" or "saved" and when tapping on connect, it tries to connect but can't establish the connection.. After tapping on connect about 5 times I'm connected. I'm having this problem since I first tried CMv457 but never on stock rom.. Fresh installing everything didn't solve the problem.. So what's the deal about it? Baseband issue? Wifi issue? Or did I miss something?

Mhhhhhhhhh remember I got this issue with my hidden SSID network.
I have made a full restore (Flash stock SE rom, then clean install v006) and it works "better" - Android always got a bug to reconnect Wifi networks.
You can also try Blade Wifi fix (or other one from market) to see if it helps
Blade didn't solve the problem. It made it only worse. Reinstalling everything didn't help either.

I have the same issue. Well I guess it's what we have to deal with 2.2+ roms unfortunately
call it a bug or anything. I've got the same problem.
Try removing blade fix, Atleast that is what I did and the problem is still there.
Just wait for 2.3 , I think it should be the key for all the questions!!
Yeah, I think so... What a pity that there's no other solution at the moment... Okay, we have to be patient.. I Hope SE's 2.3 will rock
Ok im running " ICS Euphoria RC2.1 " And recently my wifi has not been working. I've just moved houses so i got a new connection, my wifi on the phone can connect to the wifi and find it but after it does connect the wifi icon above the notification bar, is grey (it should be blue). I'm not sure if its my phone or my router settings, tho it should be the same as before.
Anyone know what to do?

Grey just means it's not connected to Google. Can you get on the internet / what happens?
No nothing loads , facebook, the google store nothing opens when i connect to the wifi but when its blue everything works

Try on another wireless device, see if it's the router.

Well i have 3 computers connected to the router , and they all work fine just not my phone :/. Ill just re-flash or a flash a new rom
To be honest, euphoria is auto dated, try their new chimera. It should solve a lot of your issues with euphoria.

I know this has been discussed before, but after hours of searching last night on google, i have come to a standstill.
Has the wifi constant disconnect / reconnect been addressed.
Cheers.
re
looks like i will have to post my own reply.
I have reset the phone, and now it holds my wifi connections and does not disconnect.
Id suggest that if you have the same wifi disconnect and reconnect issues.. try a factory reset.
It connects fine, it just doesn't receive any data. I have tried flashing the stock modules. That didn't seem to help, I"ll keep trying hopefully when an decent AOSP rom appears i'll flash that and it'll correct the problem
Thanks

Is this with all wifi or just at your house, may be your equipment, does another phone have trouble connecting?
re
i just noticed last night something interesting, but not sure if it means anything to anybody else.
I have installed the chrome browser and have been using that for the last few days.
I connected to my home wifi and cruised around the web for an hour with no issues.
I decided to try the stock android browser and it would not load, like the wifi signal was gone.
i went back to my chrome browser and there was no issue loading new web pages.
I went back to my stock browser and reset it back to defaults and bamm it was working like the chrome browser with no hiccups.
Not saying this is a fix.. but it worked for me!

i was having trouble at work and at home.
Tried every wifi/wpa setting/channel/encryption/speed etc.
i have 5 other wifi devices that have no issues.
But after resetting my phone and then running chrome / clearing , resetting my stock browser .. all is good in data land.
edit.. just tested out my work wifi with the stock browser for about 10 min.. not one issue.
I have had success forgetting the Wi-Fi network that is causing issue and then reconnecting.

Anyone know of a fix for CM10 wifi? It stays connected (the wifi bar stays blue) but I can't download or upload anything. It will then randomly start working then stop again. I flashed to CM10 last night after being on CM9 for a few days. I had no problems with wifi in CM9. I honestly would love to just stay with CM7 but I had way too many wifi problems it drove me off the walls. CM9 seem to fix it and CM10 seems to break it again for me. Any suggestions?

Wifi works fine for me in CM10. Are you using an MX2 instead of a Droid X2? Because theres a wifi patch for MX2 users.
MX2 = Milestone Droidx2 (which is a non-Verizon version right?) I am using a Verizon Droid X2 and pretty sure it is not a MX2 as I mad the mistake and flashed the wifi patch and it wouldn't even turn on until I re-flashed everything again. When I went to CM10 last night, I SBF back to 2.3.4 before I flashed it into CM10 (I had a keyboard error that wouldn't let me do anything so I couldn't install system recovery).

I have wondered the same thing actually. I read that sometimes channels 10 and 11 cause issues so I changed that. What makes me think it is something else, is that it happens randomly on just about any wifi. Sometimes it just won't connect and I have to keep trying, other times it connects perfectly and has no issues. Other times it works fine then it just starts not working. I am in the process of doing an SBF since I did something to cause it to bootloop.
Well if it doesnt fix the problem, try using something like wifi fixer in the play store.

I couldn't get it to work and have no time to mess around with it. I flashed back to Android 4.04 and everything is working fine. I play around with it this weekend and see if that app works. Does your Android 4.1 flash so the up and down arrows in the your wifi showing data activity?

I'm not connected to wifi right now so I cant look at it. But off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure it does show activity on the icon.

It is so weird. Decided to flash back, got on wifi no problem then it just stops working. It shows I am connected but not fully connected (gives grey signal bars). CM9 works fine for wifi but CM7 and CM10 have been giving me big hassles.
Hey guys, today what happened randomly on my S3 is that the internet stopped working - WiFi doesn't work although it's connected to a network, and nor does data - it doesn't connect, it's like it was off. I tried restarting my phone, turning WiFi on and off and it just doesn't work. Also what is very weird is that if I turn my phone off and turn it back on, mobile data will be turned on straight away, even though it doesn't work. What is going on? I'm running the latest nightly of Omni Rom 4.4.2 (I updated it after WiFi stopped working, so it's not a problem with the nightly).
Any help is appreciated!
After numerous reboots and reflashing Gapps it seems to be working again... Apparently it was a problem with Google services or something.
