I have a Samsung S Fascinate SGH-T959D and I was wondering if Jelly Bean is compatible with my device. I have tried researching, but I didn't get the answer.
If it is compatible, where would I find the latest Jelly Bean rom?
Also, does it matter what Model Number my phone is? My phone model number is SGH-T959D, but when I look for cwm on this site: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
it only says "Samsung GalaxyS Fascinate"

I don't know if there is jelly bean for your phone, but I can tell you that your model number DOES matter, as it meas you have a Telus fascinate, not a Verizon one. This means you cannot flash ROM'S for the i500 (the Verizon fascinate).

Ok so hear is the story a family relative of mine who was in korea for a couple of days buys me a samsung galaxy s ii. when i got it opened up the package and looked at the phone, i was like " erm... this dont look like a galaxy s ii to me. i did my research with the phones model number and all. so it seems plretty legit. the installed rom does come with korean and english language option of choosing. i was wondering i can root this device the same way you would root a regular samsung galaxy s ii, install custom recovery, flash OTA Rom or custom, etc. what we androidians mostly do with our devices. forgot to mention that it is a cdma phone and if it is possible to unlock to use here in the u.s.
if anyone could shed some light on my current situation, i would highly appreciate it. thanks in advance.
There is 3 galaxy s2 varient in korea I believe and your is from LG. Try lurking around some korean android development forum with google translate if that helps

Today I thought it was a good day to update my GT-I9100 to jelly bean
apparently I was wrong
I searched for a stock ROM that would work for my GT-I9100 and I found one and installed it using Odin
this is what happened when I turn my phone on

as you can see the ROM was not for GT-I9100 it is for GT-I9100G
the model number has changed

Can you still get into download mode? If you can, download the correct JB firmware from Samfirmware and flash that instead. Hopefully that'll work, flashing the wrong firmware can be nasty.
Edit : And why does it have the yellow triangle? Have you tried to flash a custom kernel via Odin or something, after flashing the wrong rom?

I downloaded the ROM from a blog that clearly said that ROM was for GT-I9100
I can still get to download mode but I'm really angry that the model name changed to GT-I9100G
currently I downloading a JB ROM from sammobile and I'll see how things gonna work out

Hi, i recently flash my s3 i9300 with no problems in the process (Argentina Unbranded Stock ROM i9300UBEMH2)... but i noticed that now the statusbar color changed from black to grey (it's not gray-gray, but it's not black).
I just want to know if this is a normal change of the ROM or kind of bug. it doesn't bother me much but i want to know because i read that happens to others too, and if there's a way to put it back to black again cause it doesnt fit very well.

I have flash all (7) 4.4.2 kk firmwares from the sammobile website for the gt-i9200, and i can say for sure that you can use any of them without any problem at all. I also have flash philz touch recovery and root all 7 firmwares after flashing them with odin.
