I got the Optimus V at the recent Cyber Monday deal at Virgin Mobile - for one major purpose - to use it as an mp3 player for my car. I have not activated the phone, do not plan to, have wifi on it only.
The built-in speaker on it is pretty loud, so I am surprised that the headphone volume is very low. I have to turn my car volume all the way up to max to hear anything (driving highway).
I wonder if LG turned the volume low to prevent people from killing their ear-drums. Is there any solution out there without having to activate the phone and install alternate rom on it? I have turned the volume in settings all the way high, and I have Pandora, and I have set the audio setting to high on Pandora preferences.
Pls. let me know if my objective cannot be achieved without rooting and installing a custom ROM, I would prefer not to activate this phone.
Thanks for any help.
Shameless bump...I have Volume Control+ which does not help at all.
you hear low sound in headphone ?
what are you connecting it to?
Yes, I have a low volume on the headphone too. I connect it to the aux port on the car radio using a regular Stereo Jack. My Car radio is a Pioneer system, which has great sound with other mp3 players.
i found a bug in .73;
sometimes if i listen to music with standard no mic stereo headphones (Sennheiser MX160), once i disconnect headphones and try to make a call the audio signal is not switched to the phone's speaker. so the call is mute, the other end can hear me but i can't hear the other end, if i connect the headphones and disconnect again the audio signal get routed correctly.
this doesn't happen if i connect, instead of Sehheiser headphones, the standard sony headphones or my "DIY" car stereo adapter...
I think it's an hardware bug, something looking for the impedence connected
I did notice an issue that's only occurred once, where audio wouldn't swap between headphones and speaker. I was watching a movie trailer at home on the loud speaker, then put my headset (aJays One+ with mic) in to listen to some music whilst on the move and it just didn't acknowledge the headphones. It took several restarts before the phone would correctly detect the headset and switch between the two. This was also on the .73 firmware.
Hi,
I have a MW600 bluetooth headset... I would like to be able to use this for control / display but to have my sound come from the 3.5mm jack. Any ideas on how i could accomplish this?
Burmo
Can't believe it... it turns out that the SIII does this (at least on Omega Rom V6 with Franco kernel). Once I have a wired headphones plugged in the sound comes from there but I still have my MW600 display and control!
Edit: Just checked with my I9000, it definitely doesn't work with that.
Hello guys 2 days ago i bought this phone from tinydeal.com.After hours of testing i realised that the sounds that comes out of my earphones(sony zs30 music earphones and the stock handsfree earphones) is distorted on high volume .I already disabled music fx and earphone enchacer even via my Bluetooth headset Sony mw600 (a little less).Any suggestions or fixes?:crying:
Hey guys , I can't stream audio through the Bluetooth. As soon as I connect the Bluetooth speaker ,the media controls show that the volume at 0%. And when I try to increase the volume it automatically Comes back at 0%. I'm using a poco F1(beryllium) flashed with pixel experience+. Also the phone speaker doesn't work at all.
No sound comes out even if I play notification sounds.
All was well before installing custom rom.
What to do?
