Hello I'm planning to give a rest for my GIO and buy this LG and the only thing Im not sure about it is the screen. Some says it has gorilla^1 (its firs generation i guess) and some that it doesnt have it at all. I know that 769(or its 765) has gorilla^2 ( 2 stands for second generation maybe?) so I'm asking for owners to tell me the truth also tell me is it worth buying? It's 320$ there cant find anything cheaper/better for that price. Thanks

The screen feels super smooth, hasn't had a single scratch from putting it in my pocket without a screen protector. My finger practically glides across the screen.

I'm certain it has gorilla glass 2. I've seen it on the official LG site before buying the phone. I don't remember whether it was the global or Polish site though. And I don't think they'd lie about something like this.

Yes It has Gorilla Glass 2. I own P760 but I'm pretty sure other versions has it too. In my opinion LG L9 is best phone to get in low-mid price range. If I would not go for LG L9 I would search for Nexus 4 or SGS3.
NO ! According to official LG website, P769 have Gorilla Glass 2, but P760 doesn't have Gorilla Glass (Not 3, not 2 or even 1 !). Choose between Gorilla Glass and NFC...
If you guys are so sure about this gorilla glass at p760 why u don't take a key and scratch ur screen with it ? It's a low cost phone dude, ofc it doesn't have a protection for his display.

I have p760 from eight months and I have no scratches on the screen. I tried to scratch the screen with a needle without effect. So maybe it doesn't have gorilla glass but this thing is very hard. The only thing that bothers me is that the screen gets dirty quickly.(annoying fingerprints)
Only have P769 have Gorilla glass ,other L9 didn't have Gorilla glass.

Hi,
Does Samsung Galaxy Ace has Gorilla Glass.? On corning site they have mentioned it has Gorilla Glass, but anyone here can confirm it. Have any users scratched their screen? or any other experiences to share? Any using a scratch guard?
I got quite a few little scratches, not a big problem, but for me "scratch-resistant" is something else
i have a very tiny scratch about 0.5cm on my screen and i am not using any screen protector. Got to find one soon.
I suggest to use an anti-fingermark screen protector for SGA.
Yes, it has. Watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv4Llv3UedY
One of mine has deep scratches. So I dont belive its gorillaglass or else gorillaglass is not so different
Yes it does. Check Gsmarena.com if you want to confirm.
Yes it's gorilla glass. My phone has no protection and for over a month with my keys and pens inside my bag, it still has no scratch.

Well.. Thanks for your views.. I just a new Samsung Galaxy Ace yesterday, to be on a safer side I am using Screen Guard
Hey guys, I accidentally dropped my SGA and the screen cracked. It's not THAT bad, but since it has Gorilla Glass I want to know if it's repairable or what. Tomorrow, I'm going over my carrier's attention center to see if there's anything they can do about it. Any thoughts?
They can replace it. Oddly gorilla glass is really scratch resistant but super brittle.

Aw man, are you serious? I thought it was unbreakable or something. And here I was going to make some tests on mine. Lmao thanks for the heads up xD
Ha ha. I hope they do fix it. 'Cause if not, I'm gonna buy a new smartphone. It wouldn't be the SGA, it had to be better. Anyway, back to topic, it seems like Gorilla Glass is TEH BRITTLE when it comes to falls. Just visit the Dell Streak forums, lol.

I also found this place:

With a lot of items for the SGA, included the digitizer. So it's only the digitizer I will need?
I ordered digitiser, housing and screen (as mine had been run over by a car!!!) only the digitiser and housing needed replacing (only cos the camera lens had been scratched) screen was 100% perfect once I took the digitiser off. Have replied to your message, good luck

rather have a tempered glass, it feels much better than iloome flex. iloome flex i tried doing the scratch test with a key, iloome flex became scratched easily while bodyguard tempered glass strong not a single micro scratch. invest on a 0.3-0.4 tempered glassh 9H and you won't have to worry about this thing.

The Z2 use3s Dragontail glass which is very strong, but slightly less scratch resistent than Gorilla glass,
However I think it's personal preference as to whether you use a screen protector or not..
I personally always use a screen protector just in case & have never had any problems doing so...
It came with one so I put it on there and its actually pretty ok.
Never had one on any of my phones before but this one has a nice matte finish to it. As the whole front it glass is worth it imo
Does the z2 have a shatter proof film? If so they scratch very easily and would need a protector but as pointed out since implementing spf's sony has been giving protectors in the box's of most handsets.

The glass of Z1 is scratch proof. But there will be some scratches after long time using.
So if you can't bear any tiny scratches , you'd better use a screen protector.
I feel a protector is always nice

How does it compare against the iphone 5s? I never needed a screen protector for mine.
Mine only came with a screen protector for the front in the box which I applied straight away, but I had to wait 3 days for a protector for the back to arrive, in that time its got several ugly scratches on the back glass.
I'm rather disappointed to be honest as it's not been abused, its been in the same pocket I kept my z1 in for 6 months without a mark to the screen protector. I was hoping Sony had put one of the easily scratched shatter proof films on the back, but sadly it seems there isn't a pre applied film and the glass scratches very easily.
Now I have a 3 day old Z2 which looks older than my 6 month old Z1

Well, I am not that ignorant that I wouldn't search for it. I read pretty much every review and this one is the only one dating it's Gorilla Glass. Not sure where the author would take that info from.
This is the only phone where there Samsung site doesn't specify the type of glass used. GSMArena also mentioned specifically in their review that they don't know which glass it is.
Have contacted Samsung numerous times already but they haven't replied yet either.

Which is weird. The Alpha is marketed as a phone particularly for the high end materials rather than the internal specs. I would have thought that the quality of the screen material used is significant to mention. Since its not it's rather doubtful that it's GG3.
