Hello, I just rooted my phone and installed the recovery image by artas182x. I was just wondering is his more reliable than the Touch version ( don't even know if Touch will work on my P769). I just wanted to see if anyone has had any success with flashing their P76920D with either artas182x's version /angryGTS' touch. Any input would be appreciated!
From what I understand three touch doesn't work very well with our phone. Inverted LG logo and touch screen inversion.
EDIT: Don't forget to make a backup of your ROM before you do any more mods. Good luck!

You use the touch version only if your boot loader is unlocked.

plz help me!!!!!
Dude, first: please turn of caps lock, no one wants to answer this way. You can't boot into CWM Recovery cause you didn't install it, I think. Installing ROM Manager does not mean installing CWM.

or this root includes cwm
I don't know it's included. Check it. Maybe CWM wasn't portet yet to your device, I don't think there are ROMs anyway.

Hey guys, I thought I'd just share this here, since I havent seen anything like this around here.
It is a package containing a script to flash either the touch or non-touch version of CWM via adb commands.
I took the script from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477022&page=3
I just added our CWM file and changed the script accordingly. I take no credit for all this and all of it goes back to my bros over at my old P970 forum. They literally tought me everything I know about Android.
Touch CWM: http://d-h.st/9JY
non-Touch CWM http://d-h.st/nmR
Works great for me and does, what it needs to do. You need root & of course and unlocked bootloader for this to work.
It will automatically flash CWM to our recovery partition.
It also contains a script, that reboots your device to recovery. This will allow you to directly check, if it worked, or not. BUT CAUTION!!!!!
If the recovery has not been installed, it will simply make a factory reset!
If you have questions, go ahead. If not, have fun using it

Hey don't flash those (if you get the bootloader unlocked), they are NOT for the P769 or LGMS769. It will mess up the touch screen.

Actually, I plan on updating them to check the sha1sum before for flashing.
Do you happen to know, which phones the official recovery works for? I mean its only the boot.img, has nothing to do with bootloader or other stuff, but thanks for the hint!

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question, fully. I know only a couple of the official recoveries work. I believe 760 V20B works, but it's a pain to work with. I think ice 10g for 769 works.
Now about the boot.img ?
If you are trying to say that only the p760 boot.img causes problems (touch screen), you are mistaken. Anyways thanks for modifying those scripts
I think it's a real problem because many of us can not unlock their l9 or other version and it's my problem ! I tried everything and it didn't work the phone just reboot ! If someone have a real solution help us !!

Well actually its easy provided u have a P760 and a jelly bean v20B installed. <-- Those are important. Mine came with v20B.
I actually installed omap440 something following the "old installation process" of the thread and booted in fastboot and unlocked the BL in like 10 min.
Unfortunately i couldn't flash cwm
But i will agree that some instructions are not that clear.
Now i need help to flash cwm XD
