Since uodating recently, camera af buggy - Nokia Lumia 920

Camera af doesn't focus on things in mid range in camera apps. Like it focuses on very very far, or very close, but not in between. Video seems to work fine for some reason. Would anyone recommend a hard reset? Or should I just try to go to previous build. Seems like I honestly have more bugs in the update anyway, had a couple of instances of it rebooting and freezing. Also sometimes when I take a call, it will connect for a few seconds and then make a ringing sound and then stop any sound altogether. Just don't know if its the build or if it needs to be redone.

Microphone issue

Hopefully someone can help me with this issue.
When using the stock "Soundrecorder" tool i can record the first two seconds just normal yet right after that the recording-volume just decreases so fast that after one more second i cant hear anything anymore when playing back the recorded sound.
When i stop and record again same thing happens again. This is quite the issue also in Skype since ppl can hear me the first seconds and right after its like i turned the micro off.
Trying one thread bump again to get a respond from someone with similar issues before i hit a factory reset.
The problem is really something i have not seen on any other android device i own. You start recording speech and right after 2 seconds the rec-volume is NULL.
I mean there aint any settings for the sensibility the built in microphone records right?

Anyone having problems with CM10 nightlies for Tf201?

So I've been using the CM10 nightly ROM for a long time now. I want my microphone to work. Im not sure maybe I need to wipe my device, and reflash. I've been just clearing cache partition and flashing the next update.
My problems im experiencing is when I use Google Now, my microphone starts to blink red meaning im talking, but its silent in the room. Also when im recording video the mic to record sound is terrible. its really staticy when you replay it. And when my volume is at max, or near max, my tablet's sound is sometimes scratchy. When i press down on the speakers it stops making the weird noises. Ever since recent updates, my camera when i take a picture lags and freezes for a bit, then takes the picture. I didn't have this problem before I started to root and flash my prime.
My ROM is on JB 4.1 last updated was 9/27/12.

This should be fixed soon... once we get the new kernel and drivers for JB, CM10 will be much better and fully functional!!

[Q] Weird microphone issues

I have recently purchased a Lenovo IdeaTab A2109-F which I was quite happy with, since this was the first time I have used an android tablet as I am coming from iOS background. Before I bought the tablet, I read that id had double microphone in order to make voice calls such as Skype clearer. Now , at first it seemed all good and I had people saying that the audio being received is clear and crisp on the other end of the call.
However after 2-3 mins in a call (every call) the microphone then goes really weird and audio being received from it becomes mumbled until it completely degrades where it seems like just random noises, sometimes it even goes all quiet. What I have noticed however , if I blow into the microphone it then goes all good again.
At first I thought it was a Skype app issue and so I downloaded a microphone voice recorder (memo recording sort of app) and same observations were made where voice being recorded completely degrades within 3 minutes of the recording, where blowing into the microphone temporary fixes the problem until it happens again after a minute or so.
Now I am lost here , I really like the tablet and I really doubt it's a hardware issue for some reason. I have a suspicion that something is either upping/lowering the sensitivity of the microphone and where blowing into the microphone seems to then readjust it.
I really hope somebody could help me out, maybe there is an app that allows to change microphone settings , or maybe something else that I could try out.
Thanks for your time! :good:
P.S Android Version: 4.1.1 and latest Skype app. I also tried upgrading the firmware, same problem was observed.
I still have the same issue on my Lenovo A2109. Skype, Line or any internet call, voice degrades within 8 - 10 mts and I had to end the call and re-do the call again. VERY ANNOYING... I thought it was just my tablet. I didn't try the trick of blowing into the microphone. Thanks for the tip. Did you get a solution yet? I thought upgrading would help. But thanks for confirming.

[Q] No Sound When Recording Video

Hey, guys.
I've recently installed CyanogenMod 10.2 on my phone (I9100G), and when I tried to record a video, there was no audio at all. Just a really low static noise. The Sound Recorder works fine and people can hear me through a call, so I figured it couldn't be a hardware issue. Unless the camera uses one side (which is stupid) theeen maybe it's be a hardware issue, because my left microphone (when Home button on the right) is busted.
I've checked out the other threads in this forum and I never really found a solution. Anyone mind helping me out here?
Cm10.2 has problems. Go to cm10.1 builds till there working well. Video is a problem ATM on 10.2
That's what I did, but it still won't record with audio. You think it could be a compatibility issue between the device and the camera software? Because the camera looks way different than in 4.1.2, unless that's what the 4.3 camera looks like.
I have tried 4.3 cm build and gone bk to 4.2 and camera video sounds works fine here. I've also used 4.3 camera and that work fine too. Try camera modual software. Did you flash a clean ROM or dirty flash from 4.3? Maybe hardware problem.
Did a clean flash.
I'm gonna try and flash some Camera APKs and see if it would fix things.
try some other. apk file of camera e.g fx camera
I've already tried flashing other camera APKs but none work. I guess I'll have to wait till CM10.2 gets official and mostly bug free. Lol. I'm sticking with 10.2 still, though.
Thanks, guys.

Question Popping/crackling sound during calls on multiple apps [SOLVED]

Every couple of minutes I am getting a loud pop/crack sound during normal calls and the same behaviour on Whatsapp and Viber calls.
I tried both on speaker and without and the result is the same. I am running all the latest updates. The adaptive sound is disabled.
Also tried Stealth Audio Player to hear both the external and internal speaker on Youtube videos and I can't reproduce it except sometimes it pops when a video is started. I also tried recording my mic and it sounds clear without this popping.
Is there anything else I can try to fix or debug this issue? It sounds like it is trying to record or adapt the sound while on call even if the adaptive is off.

This kinda sounds like the problem I had, but ALLLLL the way back to my Pixel 2 XL!
If you're rooted, you can try what worked for me below -- although, I'm not up to date with Viper4Android (V4A) and I believe it's either EOL or is in the process of being updated to work in x64 architecture or there are newer updated branches or something... But if it's possible to lower the frequencies, you might luck out like I did on the taimen...
I Found a Speaker Distortion Fix
Like many, my phone has the lower speaker distortion on speaker phone calls and general audio, like YouTube, when turned up high. If you are rooted, I have found a solution to all situations except speaker phone calls. I installed Viper4android...

Thanks for the help. I can hardly hear any issues while on youtube. There is noticeable pop when videos ending or starting. Some people are reporting motherboard issues with Pixel 7 leading to similar problems. I am trying to find if it is a hardware or software issue.
After further investigation it looks like interference. If I disable the mobile data and WIFI it seems to be a lot better. After 16 minutes call it was a very faint pop if at all. Does it sound like it needs a motherboard replacement or a future patch might fix it. Update: still happening regardless of connectivity on both the inner and outer speaker. I am going to RMA for motherboard replacement.
