[Q] [YP-G70][PAC ROM] Disable Hardware Keys Backlight [FIXED] - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Any idea how to disable the backlight keys?

#!system/bin/sh
/
chown root:root /sys/devices/virtual/sec/ts/touchkey_led
echo 0 > /sys/devices/virtual/sec/ts/touchkey_led
chmod 444 /sys/devices/virtual/sec/ts/touchkey_led
Create a text archive called, for example, 91userinit (with nothing at the end, not .txt only 91userinit). Paste it in /system/etc/init.d and set the permissions in the screenshot.
Reboot. If not works, download NStools and, in settings, tick on use init.d scripts. It shoild work after reboot then.
You can do also flashing KKernel r2. I'm using it and it's so good if you make a good liveOC . I hope I'm useful foe you!!

[MOD] Nexus 7 720p Video Recording

So I just got 720p video recording working on my Nexus 7 and felt you guys should know about this too. It's a simple fix as it's not a limitation of hardware or a kernel function or anything, rather it's just Google didn't add the media profile for 720p to tell it how to use 720p.
What firmware does this need?
It doesn't matter. If you're on the original N7 firmware or the latest builds from Google, it still works just fine. I'm now on JOP40C and it works just fine. One update.zip fits all. I do suggest keeping your original file as a backup though as it plays up with OTA updates if you have this mod installed.
You don't need to install this if you are running a CM based firmware (CM10, etc) as I have pushed the patch to the CM repositories and it will be preloaded on your Nexus 7. And no, it's not them stealing credit, I pushed the patch to them.

I know I'm not that far in to deving to make a flashable zip that can be universal for most of these roms. All I have done was port a rom to the EVO 4G. So... I guess if you upload the apk and associated edited files someone can do something or I will give it a shot.

I found 5 different media_profiles im cm10 source folder:
1. /development/tools/emulator/system/camera
2. /out/target/product/grouper/obj/PACKAGING/target_files_intermediates/cm_grouper-target_files_eng.<your user name>/SYSTEM/etc
3. /out/target/product/grouper/system/etc
4./out/target/product/grouper/
5. /device/panda
is it likely the file that you mentioned in number 3, right?

No because we're only editing the grouper device files. The files for the Galaxy S2 won't be affected by this.
I replaced the file in the system/etc folder with the 720p file from your ROM.
I opened the camera, but it just force closes. Any ideas?
Im using CodenameAndroid ROM
Added (copied) the relevant code from the OP to the /system/etc/media_profiles.xml file of my stock (build #: JRO03D), but rooted, Nexus 7 16gb. When attempting to record video the camera app closes with this error message; "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped." With the option of "Report" or "Ok".
The camera app does not crash when taking a picture or when using the panoramic picture mode. The files are saved to the /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/ folder. It appears the crashed video files are there, two for each recording (one is "VID_xxxxxxxx_xxxxxx.3gp" the other is "VID_xxxxxxxx_xxxxxx.3gp.tmp", but neither play. Both are zero bytes in size.
Also, is there a way to change between 480p and the new 720p setting? Looked but didn't see an option to make that change in the camera app.
Works great on latest CM10 Nightly. Just did an adb pull on /system/etc/media_profiles.xml and added the 720p lines. Then I adb pushed it back and did a chmod and rebooted. Will this be merged into CM10?
This would be a great as a flashable zip! I'm currently deploying a bunch of nexus tablets at my work and i'm sure everyone would like to have the ability to use the camera to record 720p

Not sure what has gone wrong. I did a full recompile to add it so perhaps something else was changed by this file.

I think I fixed my issue. It may have been because the file permissions were incorrectly set when the file was saved. Permissions should be rw- r-- r--, instead when saved from the ES File Explore Editor after editing it was rw- --- ---.
I also rebooted the tablet after changing the file permissions just to be safe.

It says put it in init.d folder if you have kernel with init.d support or set it to run at boot (with script manager that is)
Don't double post, use the time waiting for an answer to search.

I receive an error "Connection problem or invalid MMI code" after entering the string into dialer...but then...I don't have cell reception in my home. I suppose that could have something to do with it....?
EDIT: Found the error...within the string "3845#*760#", the last three digits reference the model # of the phone. In my case, 760 is replaced with 769. Hope this lessens any confusion for others who try. The tweak works very well!
Could you be more precise ? What files to copy ? There are 2 folders : META-INF that has 6 subfolders ..and System with 2 files in it. Those 2 files have to be copied in /etc ? I copied them and set the GPS settings but I have 0 signal
Set also permissions, and reboot phone

Everything was set, permissions + rebooted. Its not even detecting satellites ...
Edit: i changed from lge to google and it worked perfectly
If you downloaded patch Google you choose Google server, otherwise lge

I'm rooted, on CM10.1 with p769(760 bl)
and I downloaded 3.1 no ssl and extracted the gps.conf file to system/etc, set permissions and reboot
Entered 3845#*769# and also tried 3845#*760#
but both still get 'connection problem or invalid mmi code'
Is this known to work for anyone on CM10.1? or am I missing something?

Hi people!
I've installed just now this mod on my RAZR running 982.124.17 en.BR stock based rom JB 4.1.2, and sent all the informations to the dev to develop a tool to install the mod on our phones!!
At first time it seems work fine but I want to wait 2 or 3 days left to test it in hard use.
If somebody want to try, the manual installation is very simply, just download and unpack the .zip put the script file in init.d set permissions and reboot! that's all!
Good mod!!
EDIT: OK i goes wrong the script dont work... the swap.IMG can not be mounted because the path is not a device block... waiting for the devs
EDIT 2 : the script works fine, but stock kernel not support swap. Tomorrow I'll try to flash a custom rom like CM and try it and I would to test with JBX kernel also. I'll post here the results ... stay tuned!!

I tested on my stock chinese 400 rom and use RE to del those 3 file under bin/mkswap, swapon, swapoff, after reboot, i can see my rom support swap.
Ps: must install busybox before del those 3 file and check xbin is showup.
I had one question, i got .img swap file in cache/swap.img only, data/ and system/ didnt swap.img file.... wonder why?

you have got just 1 swap file because have installed just 1 script. if you see into the zip package u can see three folder in it one called cache one called system and another called data. inside in each folder there are a script that create a swap file in each partition you can set the size of the swap editing this files!
Thanks!! You a my man, it works!

Can I use Turbo boost and swap data partition with application Link2sd? Link2sd created folder in root/data/sdext2 and applications are mounting to SD card after reboot. I don't know if it will be working.
Thanks for your reply
