Hi all,
I've made some little mods for myself and i've decided to share my work
The attached ZIP file modifies the battery icon and the percentege text (i hate the huge greyed percentege info with that huge battery icon) to ICS like layout.
+ removes the brightness slider from notification.
I've also added and configured an app named "Dispaly brightness" taken from google play, that allow you to encrease/decrease brightness simply sliding your finger left or right on the upper left corner of the screen (over the status bar). BTW you can change configuration running the app from drawer.
What you need:
Rooted device
CWM installed
How to install:
Download "BatteryIcon + Brightness_mods.zip"
Copy to SD card
Restart in recovery mode
Install zip file from CWM
Reboot
How to uninstall:
Download "BatteryIcon + Brightness_stock.zip"
Copy to SD card
Restart in recovery mode
Install zip file from CWM
Reboot
Edit: added CWM zip file (Brightness_mods.zip) that remove brightness slider only without touch battery icon.
WORKS ON STOCK JB V20x ONLY!
COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER MODS LIKE "BLACK STATUS BAR" OR "QSLIDE APP REMOVE" (read post 3)
INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Enjoy

Can you please tell us how to remove brightness toggle ? I would use your flashable zip, but i also want the qslide removed. I hope i`m not the only one who wants to get rid of both brightness and qslide. Thanks in advance !

i've checked the qslideapp removal and i've noticied that it uses a script to modify only one file inside LGsystemUI.apk, it doesn't replace it with a new one, so just install my zip before and then the QslideApp removal zip provided by mateo1111.
whitout battery icon
Hello! my phone is a LG L9 P768g, this mod are working in my device, but I do not like the battery icon, Is there any way to put the stock icon?
I agree, it looks cool, but I like the way the battery is just fine. Can you give instructions on how to modify the attached file so it only removes the brightness bar?
Thanks in advance.

It would be great if you could provide a .ZIP that just removes the brightness slider without installing the "Display Brightness" app. Would you be able to do that?

I want to keep QSlide off but I understand where you are going with this, thanks
Edit - after attempting to install it aborted the zip on installation, I'm using a locked bootloader do you think that is why the changes did not take affect and it aborted the install?
Additional edit - my mistake I see this mod is for the 760 model only.

I have P760 with 20h and also after attempting to install it aborted the zip on installation with error status 7. I had removed qslide before
What is the problem?
Update: hade to update updater-script in the zip to eleminate error status 7 that is phone model veryfication error. removed everything till first semicol in updater-script

Hey , today i went back to stock from MiniCm7Pro. I have a few questions:
1. Can i get DSP manager on 2.1?
2. How to get rid of the annoying bar that is up when i slide out my keyboard?
3. Can i get the ICS theme apk to work on 2.1 ?
4. Can i get the status bar buttons ( like wifi etc.) when i slide it down on 2.1?
Sorry for all my questions, its just that i can nothing about app porting and that kind of stuff. All i can is innstall rom/kernel/edit keyboard input to my coutrys standard and that easy stuff xD
Sent from my U20i using XDA Premium App
1. the dsp manager is a feature unique to cyanogenmod, so dont think you can. However you can always try installing it. DL any rom with dsp manager, view the contents via windows explorer, go to system > app> copy the dspmanager.apk. install it. try normal installation first, if that doesnt work, try the process involving changin the root permissions.
2. err, what bar?
3. the ics theme, in the market, is again for cyanogenmod users. However you CAN dl the complete ICS launcher.
4. i dunno

flashing the clean version of stock ROM of pfonck you can get rid of the status bar and a lot of more things
For tha annoying bar, replace the 'squishinput.apk' in /system/app by the one in pfonck's rom. Then set the right permissions with root explorer (check it b4 replacing), reboot and you are done.
Question: does anyone got flashplayer working on eclair's roms?

I made one time flasher for this small apps mod, but the phone got stuck in an endless bootloop. Even if you add these in your rom you will get bootloop. I think it has something to do with the framework
What about some init.d script for installing it? Like some kind of loop maybe...

This will work if you have an already installed small apps on the instructions of the first message. You need to take these files and install a replacement for the framework-res.apk in system/framework, for systemUI.apk in system/app with set permissions. Do not forget say thanks Spaun_Studio it's his job. Made specifically for SXP.
thanks but with all respect it's the same problematic status bar
and date is cramped and the x is tiny
changed a few langs (not cyrillic) and it's the same
still amazing work by Spaun_Studio pity it's not workin 4 me

IntroductionThis is a port of my H2O2 mod which I originally made for Oneplus 3. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/mod-h2o2-accent-colors-grammar-fix-t3514804/
Features- All mods are optional in AROMA installer
- Pixel blue as default color

- Fixed Grammar in Settings > Battery > High Power Usage apps
- Removed network status indicators - the blinking arrows in status bar from pre-kitkat era
- Status bar doesn't turn orange when Battery saver is enabled
- Center clock (optional) - Please disable default clock from Settings > Status bar otherwise you will have two clocks
- Disable AM/PM in default clock
Installation1. Make nandroid before you flash this.
2. Download the zip and flash it.
3. Hit thanks and enjoy
For reporting bugs, please attach screenshots if possible
Compatibilityv0.5 - For OOS 4.0 and ROMS based on OOS4.0
Issues?I didn't have any bootloops without root so it doesn't seem to be necessary. However for some people, rooting fixed the issue. You can unroot later.
Starting with version 3.5, I have made some improvements in installer to avoid. If you still face bootloop, For anyone experiencing bootloops, please provide the following info
1) F2Fs or ext4
2) Encrypted or not
3) Rooted or not
4) Save log in aroma installer and attach
To fix bootloops, dirty flash ROM

Currently it is for OOS 4.0 stable only.
I think beta builds are named ob1,2... etc and not OOS 4.
Will try this on stock unrooted OOS4.0 Nougat for OP3T in a minute. Hope it really does work on un-rooted stock OOS 4.0, since then I would be able to use bank apps which do not work on rooted systems unless rom is compatible with xposed or suhide/root switch.

Funny, but it does not work on my stock OOS 4.0 (file-system untouched (all default with data @f2fs, encrypted by default).
1. While unrooted ->
Tried on stock OOS 4.0 (unrooted) just the center clock option with everything else left untouched and it did not work. Status bar is completely empty and quick toggles/quick settings are inaccessible.
2. When rooted ->
Tried on stock OOS 4.0 (rooted). System boots up with black screen screen. You can access reboot menu by holding power button and you can see print screen edges, but otherwise the whole screen is pitch black

If center clock was working properly with root, it means the systemUI was copied properly with right permissions. Removing root would not change that.
Can you try to go back to recovery, mount system. Then use the twrp file manager, browse to system> priv-app> OPSystemUI folder. You'll find OPSystemUI.apk. Select and do chmod 644.
If this doesn't sort out, I guess dirty flash your ROM to restore everything back to normal

After unroot
SuperSU really shouldn't interfere with system files.
Statusbar stuff is related to SystemUI. Either the systemUI itself crashed (which would resolve on next reboot) or permissions somehow got messed up (chmod 644 would solve this)
Check permissions using a root file explorer like Solid explorer for OPSystemUI.apk (inside system > priv-app > opsystemui ) while you are rooted. Should be rw-r-r
Btw can you grab aroma log next time you install the mod. Thanks
Flash in TWRP.
This Aroma has all the mods from my normal Aroma but there is one last step. Like the other, you must flash the base at the bottom of the Aroma first. Then flash any other mods you may like in any order. When done, flash the very first option which is the Magisk Module Maker. It will make a zip in a folder on your sdcard called magisk.zip. After you back out of the Aroma, go to that folder and flash that zip and reboot. I did notice that QS background doesn't play nicely with live wallpapers though that might be semi-transparent only.
I don't know a much about Magisk but this evil themer-Magisk combo was made by djb77 at this thread:

Then flash any other mods you may like in any order. When done, flash the very first option which is the Magisk Module Maker. It will make a zip in a folder on your sdcard called magisk.zip. After you back out of the Aroma, go to that folder and flash that zip and reboot. I did notice that QS background doesn't play nicely with live wallpapers though that might be semi-transparent only.
I don't know a much about Magisk but this evil themer-Magisk combo was made by djb77 at this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/app...theme-t3590766
I've tweaked it to get it to work with Pixels.
Magisk Aroma Module Maker.

FYI, after a successful flash I got stuck on Google logo and only after
a re-flash of kernel and magisk did I successfully booted to Android.
Thank you.

Lol, sure.
I flashed the base first, then flashed the "speed left", "black BG" and "black notification text".
Lastly I flashed the very first tweak(Module Maker) and then looked for the Magisk Zip folder
and flashed the zip, wiped Delvik-cache and rebooted to system! And you know the rest!

Thanks for the specifics. Was that black BG, for QS? I've never wiped dalvik before since that is done in the zip but I wouldn't think that would cause a problem but with a Magisk module, I'm not sure.
at the risk of sounding like a complete noob lol, could you explain what the difference between this mod and your other one? what is the purpose/difference between the way the old mod does things and/or having this mod as a Magisk module? Thanks in advance...

Nop, it was for "Notification". And another weird thing I just noticed is
that it's made my "Navbar Buttons" like "Dots", almost invisible and I didn't
even flash anything related to the Navbar from your tweaks!

This has some old files in it some how. I'm redoing it. I'll let you know when it is done so you can try it again if you want to. If you are no longer interested, I understand. I got in too big of a hurry. It works great on my Pixel 2 and my Nexus 5X.
On 8.1 any changing of the Navbar height will cause the icon size problem if padding is not adjusted. My base is 36 dip, stock is 48. I've had this working great so when digging I found those old files.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question... so when the mod is systemless that means that it does not actually change the system files? and it's more of a overlay due to it being a module? Thanks again for ELI5...

I don't know the specifics but I believe Magisk works off a mirror of your system files and those are the files being changed. You can open Magisk Manager and turn this module on and off.

Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated.. I'll have to look into what systemless really means... I have always enabled that option in Magisk while not knowing exactly what it does lol... maybe that would explain a few of the odd things that I have noticed while flashing items in TWRP... Thanks again for the mod and the info...

Tried it to no avail !
Flashed exactly like last time with same tweaks, booted
to Android successfully but the only tweak that worked is
"White text notification" and that makes a problem now bcuz
I chose "Black notification BG" which did not work and now is
white on white hence unreadable. I think I have to dirty flash the
system so I get back everything stock again.
Thank you so much for your time and efforts.
P.S= The "Nav" didn't get fixed either!

Also, with root explorer, go to your root drive, data/tmp, delete the tmp folder and try again.
