Not sure what's going on with my internal memory here's how it says it adds up. Just wondering how I can fix this situation. My roms, clockwork mod backups and titanium backups are all on the external sd card

While this reply doesn't address your issue, it does assist in better helping the community help you...
Rather than posting a slightly blurry sideways pic that can be hard on the eyes depending on ambient light, you should instead take a screenshot and post that. To take a screenshot, hold power and home simultaneously.

Thanks for the advice but power and home didn't work for me. I tried taking a screen shot using the option on the power menu on the Rom I'm using but for some reason it just showed as a black screen. It works taking a screenshot except in the settings for some reason.

I know I have posted a lot of these in the tips/tricks, but its been a year.. some are old and forgotten. Could be new to people. Maybe there are new Tricks since I made that guide.

Swiping the letters to get specific artist names in songs to the music player. Swipe it while swiping it and you'll get and even more in depth search..

Go down to #15 "ShootMe". Your answer awaits. (However, you must be rooted to use it)
If you are not rooted, you're going to have to dip in some cash for this app... https://market.android.com/details?...S5hbmRyb2lkLnNjcmVlbnNob3RpdGZ1bGxub3Jvb3QiXQ..
Thanks ill check it out now

I've done it a few times on accident myself, unrooted with no screenshot app. Never could figure out how. Since then though, I just ended up buying ScreenshotIt. Works great for me.

Another thing, after a bit of research stock 2.2 supposedly has a built in screenshot taker. Try these instructions to see if this is what you accidentally did...
1. When you are in the specific screen which you desire to take Screenshot, Press the Back button in right bottom and hold it. While holding Back button now press Home button in the middle. You will hear a capture sound and in moment it will appear Screen captured. Save as image file
2. Go in the Gallery app there is a new folder called Screen Capture. Open it, you will see the captured image. Enjoy!
I tried that but it just goes to the home screen or back.. I have the image still on my phone and its saved as screenshot and I dont have any screenshot apps so idk how I did it
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Oh. Sorry that didn't work. Those were some instructions some guy posted that were supposed to work...
Its ok I really done neeed it It would just be cool to know how to do it since its a feature on the phone
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
I would also know how exactly this works if anyone figured it out. I think I took about 5 screen shots on accident with some sort of combination of softkeys without knowing how :|
I ended up just getting an app called shoot me and getting honeycream jw1 with ice theme I got bored with froyo haha

+1 I am having the same problem
Try searching for an app called Button Remapper on XDA. Or you could edit the file in /system/usr/keylayout/ruby-keypad.kl
I haven't messed with it on this phone, but you should be able to change the function of the buttons, make it not wake the phone, or just leave it blank. I'd make a backup before messing with it, save a copy of the original files, and when you edit them try to make them look as much as possible to original as you can add far as formatting and spacing.
If this is over your head, be very very very careful. Or don't do it, haha. Good luck!

Put your hand flat as if you are going to do a karate chop (as the above poster stated) and wipe it across the screen from right to left or left to right (just like a scanner scanning a piece of paper). This will trigger the screen capture.
Mark.

Two things. Need to make sure the swipe to screenshot shortcut is enabled in Settings > Motion. If this is ticked then it works if the front facing camera has enough light. So, in the same way that you need decent ambient light for the phone to check your eyes are open and to use face unlock, it needs the same for screenshots to work.

Hi,
Has anyone else noticed a problem with the S3s screen?
I opened Ingress and I saw this screen with blue and black.
I suppose the transition should be gentle but it's in bars what I think is weird.
Also, if I'm on an AOSP rom the menus are sometimes like this as well.
I was wondering if my diwmlay is faulty or whatever and if I should bring it back as my volume button is sticky as well.

You have low quality menu background, there is flashable fix somewhere.

Obviously, if your display was faulty, the problem wouldn't be there on a screenshot
Just a low-quality gradient

The problem is there's a "background" image baked into Android that has crappy dithering. There's a fix on this forum called dithered holo background fix or something like that. It's also available in Omega Files. I flash it in all the ROMs I install.
