Hi, I was wondering does anyone know why I cant get my s4 to send audio to my fiio e07k? I know that the Galaxy s3 works perfect with usb DACs . Also I checked with the audio tester and it does show but no audio out. Also the audio to the speakers is cut when I plug the fiio in and pauses when i remove it.
Thanks,
Isaac

Hello guys, I've just recently bought the Onkyo CS 555dab and tried connecting my galaxy s3 via text usb port to play music. But it doesn't even connect so I'm thinking the usb on the Onkyo isn't meant for Android and only ipod and flash drives. But I was looking at this device which I think would work but want to be sure before I buy it. My Onkyo has got optical and coaxial inputs at 24bit so I was thinking of usb to optical. I can't post links just yet but it's called USB Sound Box from maplins website.
I'd just use the usb from the galaxy to the usb sound box then optical lead from that to the hifi. Would this produce audio??
Also I used the 3.5mm jack to RCA and the sound is terribly low n no bass at all. I read bout EU regulations and them lowering the out it via headphone jacks.
Hope someone knows. Thank you.
Bump
Use a decent ROM with some jacked up audio improvements. I used 3.5mm to my stereo and the sound is superb.
There are a multitude of converters out there for just this.

My old Samsung Galaxy S 2 had an audio accessories option provided by Samsung to enable USB audio output, despite it not being natively supported until recently, in lollipop.
I was just curious as to whether anyone's managed to enable the feature on the alpha. I'm presuming the feature will return when the lollipop update comes for the alpha, but kinda need it for my car radio in the short term.
Thanks.
I will try in the morning with the fiio e18 USB dac/amp. It should work out of the box
It works with stock firmware but I got some electronic noise as soon as I connected the dac with the phone. I will try to install a fresh firmware to see if it's a problem with my mainboard, drivers or something else. I'll be back
With fiio e 18 the noise is present at 0 volume from amplifier, even after firmware update. So..it could be my mainboard fault or general power circuit fault. BUT USB AUDIO OUT IS WORKING ON EXYNOS ALPHA WITH STOCK FIRMWARE. ( if you play music the noise is missing or is covered by song).
I am using my Alpha with Fiio E18... It will recognized the DAC immediately when you turn it on... stock rom no root...
I also didn't have any hiss or noise with my Alpha + Fiio E18... Very satisfied with the sound quality...

Yes. If you are using a good quality headphones, while plugging it to the phone, you will realize that Alpha does provide a very good sound quality.... but with using DAC like E18, the result is unbelievable...
You will get eargasm for sure... The sound quality is very much better...
Maybe is a problem with my e18 or the cable. I will try with another cable.
I just bought GA and I have a little problem/question: I paired my Fiio e18 USB dac/amp with alpha with usb cable and I got an background continue noise. Could somebody try and tell me if it is a general bad design problem or is something wrong with my phone. From the headphones out sound seems to be better than s5 and note 4.
I don't have the issue with my Alpha and Fiio E18... Have you check if the Fiio and USB cables works perfectly with other device?...
So we can isolate where the issue come from.
I used the same combo with S5 dual sim ( 900fd) and with note 4. Maybe is a problem with the cable or the Dac. I will try with another cable, with fiio e17 and with note 3. I guess will find out who's the blame. I will be back.
P.S. The headphones output semms better than note 4 snapdragon.
Hey all,
I'm looking to buy an tab S3 but I want to use it in a very specific use case where I need to use a USB-C to audio adapter (yes, I know it has a 3.5mm jack plug).
We have the tablet at work but because it's for a client I can't just tinker around with it.
I tried the USB-C adapter that came with the Google pixel 2 XL but that didn't work. The Tab S3 didn't play the sound over the speakers and paused when I plugged out the adapter as if it recognized it but I could hear anything. Does anyone have experience of a adapter that does work?
Also, does it work with the cheap passive adapters without a DAC? (USB-C audio can be analogue if the device supports it, other only do digital and require a DAC)
Hi, I am an owner of a Samsung galaxy s10. I've heard so much things about viper4android and I'm big on music and how my sound system sounds in my car. I would love to have the app but have no interest to root my device if that's even possible. Is there any way at all that someone might know how I can get it without root? I would really love to have this app. Thank you
No way you can get viper4android without rooting.
Just root, It;s simple and so worth it for V4A!
And that's working without a selinux kernel?
I used to be a big fan of V4A back then in my rooting days with the Galaxy Note 4. It did sounded better than the stock setup, but it's 2019 and rooting a new phone (especially a Samsung) does not sound like a good idea to me.
Instead, I bought Creative Labs Super X-Fi amp, USB Audio Player Pro and paired them with my Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro. It's an expensive setup, but now I hear music from my S10 like never before with a mobile device. The amp has the "Holographic sound" technology which is great, but even if you use it merely as an amp, it's great. IMO, this setup is much better that the quad DAC my previous LG G6 had.
Just pay attention, right now the USB Audio Player Pro is the only player compatible with the S10 paired with the X-Fi amp. S10s have a known issue with their USB port that does not allow the X-Fi to work with any other music player for the moment.

Hi, I did not understand correctly. You buy the USB Audio Player Pro and you use it just like any other music app, it's the same.
What's different about this app is that it has its own android driver, that bypasses Android's drivers, and it gives a better output. This is the only app that allows the USB Amplifier I bought (the Creative Super X-Fi amp) to work properly until now.
