HI All, I've been trying to fix my phone from last 2 days tried everything and nothing seems to work, I can go to Odin download mode and resetting mode but nothing seems to work and when starting normally it just gets stuck at the samsung Galaxy logo screen. It is still under warranty but the binary count shows 1 attempt I only had Blackmart Alpha (recommended by a friend a week ago). any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Here are the ODIN messages, I have already tried different versions of Odin and Original Firmwares from samsmobile and i still get these error messages.

its not under warranty custom rom count and modified firmware = no warranty .
probable cause of problem using an Alpha rom . Any Alpha rom is asking for trouble
One restore your Nandroid backup pre this rom .
Two read the how to return to stock for warranty faq / guide .
jje
it's not a ROM, it's a warez app.
can you access recovery? wipe data first. then type everything your download mode says

Yes I meant to say that it's still under warranty but that can't be claimed because of custom rom count. I was using the stock firmware and a friend asked to dload that alpha thing which i never even used after dloading.
After reading all the faqs i think i need to have the phone running to return to stock warranty, which i am unable to do becuase of the error i mentioned in the first post.
Any other idea? Thanks

Go try the rescue firmware, thread in general forum. It sometimes helps to downgrade the bootloader to BLFB but if you can't flash bootloader with Odin then you have nand memory failure.
Still unable to bypass the error...
Anyone can help me out please !!!!!
Please provide the exact link which bootloader file and odin to be used to recover it...!!!

Which recovery are you using? Either google for the stock recovery or use an official cwm from the cwmrecovery website and try flashing it. If successful try a full flash and reset with odin.

Hello!
I'm more or less a noob regarding Android. With respect to the time of senior members, I have spent a few hours studying previous posts for a solution but have been unable to get unstuck. Therefore, this new thread.
Summary:
Rooted and unlocked my new GS3 back in August 2012. No challenges with anything. OTA put me to 4.1.1.
Woke up this morning to stuck boot screen.
Following forum posts, I tried to flash CWM via Odin but all 6 attempts have failed. (Tried using Odin3 v3.04 and Odin3 v1.85 both. Tried using both CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0.tar and CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar.)
Tried to go into Recovery Mode, but the phone is not going to recovery either. (Interestingly, I see a small red exclamation mark in the top left corner when I try to go to Recovery Mode.)
Checked with Samsung support and they state that rooting voids warranty, so of course I can't take it to my operator unless I want to pay!
Can someone please help to recover the device?
Thanks!

Yes, I can access the download mode.
I have already downloaded the latest firmware from SamMobile, but wasn't sure about flashing as Odin hadn't worked so far for me. Will do this now, as you advise. (Still unsure of which Odin version to use, though. Would that be Odin3 v1.84 or Odin3 v 3.04?)
/frood
just use the latest one, put the file in the pda section and flash, and don't change any check boxes

Odin's first ID:COM slot is yellow and says 0:[COM11].
I assume all required USB drivers are present since I have Kies installed, though I don't use it. (I have transferred files to the phone via USB previously, so I guess it works.. or used to)
I just killed a Kies process (KiesPDLR) and relaunched Odin, but the box is still yellow.

Stop Kies running in the background during an Odin flash .
Download the firmware possible corrupt firmware .
Use Samsung USB port connected to a motherboard port only .
Try a different version of Odin.

Try this ,
1. go to http://checkrom.com download the latest resurrection rom
2.go into download mode in your phone and flash this rom through odin
3.once everything is done it should boot into cwm recovery after that wipe data/factory rest and wipe cache partition and then reboot system
4. if everything goes well it should boot into the resurrection rom

Kies no longer installed and rechecked if any processes were running.
Motherboard port connected - no add-on ports.
Tried a different version now. Tried reflashing 3 times on each of my PCs built-in USB ports but failed each time.
Just thinking: Could it at all be that 'USB debugging' was not enabled? If Odin flashing doesn't care, then perhaps it doesn't matter, but I'm lost for why I can't flash anything!

1. go into download mode, start Odin, do not select any files, just connect your phone, and wait.
IF you'll have Added-Removed-Added-Removed sequence - your cable is faulty.
2. Google after the Samsung USB drivers. Uninstall KIES. Install drivers. DISCONNECT your PC from internet. connect phone. Try Odin again
(2: explanation: it is very frequent that Windows tries to download latest drivers from MS, which are slightly crappy).
Good luck
was usb debugging enabled on your phone??... did u update adb drivers?? and try what spamtrash is telling you ... i think it should work..

No Added-Removed-Added-Removed sequence. Just a single 'Added' every time. I guess this part works OK.
Also, yesterday I uninstalled Kies and all drivers, rebooted my WinXP PC, downloaded and installed just the Samsung USB drivers (no Kies on my PC anymore). I ran Odin about 5 times after that, but was connected to the Internet throughout (although Windows did not try to download anything during this time). In any case, will try flashing again now while disconnected.
Update: uninstalled and reinstalled USB drivers, with PC restarts. Odin is successful with flashing both CF-root and the Resurrection Rom. But phone displays FW installation error every time.

I really don't know if USB debugging was enabled or not before the phone gave out. Is there any way to tell? If any of these problems with flashing are due to the setting being disabled, is there any way to overcome the limitation?
Drivers: yes, I did download just the drivers yesterday (Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.14.0.exe) and rebooted the PC after installing as well. There's no Kies on my machine anymore.
Hi all,
I have a Samsung galaxy S3 GT-I9300. 2 days ago it crashed and won't boot anymore. The reason was can't mount /cache, can't mount system ... on recovery mode. I tried only the wipe cache option and it did nothing.
I started looking at the forum to understand how to fix it. I deciced first to make a backup of my data if possible so I downloaded Odin v3.07 and philz_touch_6.07.9-i9300.tar.md5. I read in another thread that we can manage to copy data from the phone using philz tools.
The problem here is that flashing philz tools with Odin fails all the time. Now I can only access the download mode. At boot, I have a "Firmware upgrade encountered an Issue..." I tried with Kies recovery but it failed too.
In my sdcard, I have no folder clockwordmode ! In download mode
PRODUCT NAME : GT-I9300
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD : Yes (3)
CURRENT BINARY : Custom
SYSTEM STATUS : Ofiicial
I am bit lost as there seem to be a lot of options in other threads. I don'y know where to start or what to do ? is it the PIT files to restore ? the firmware, the kernel ? the whole OS ?
Many thanks
Don't use pit file. pit is Last resort!!!! Get stock firmware from sammobile.com and flash it through Odin. Forget kies. Read about Odin before flashing.
You'll need to flash with a *.pit file, and the ROM downloaded from sammobile in order to restore your device. Use the *.pit file as the absolute last option to restore your phone. It will repartition your phone, and any power loss of either the machine you are flashing from, or your phone will render it a permanent brick.
Thank you
I am downloading the latest firmware from sammobile (1.1 GB) and Odin 3.09. There are specific instructions for Odin on sammobile website so I don't think i'm goint to mess it up. I will let you know if it did work for me.
I tried to flash the image from sammobile but it failed. There is no log I can read to understand why

Nand write fail = motherboard replacement.
Keep trying to flash and don't give up but please leave pit till the end. Yes try three part recovery firmware and older firmware "not ics" SDS on ics firmware and you don't want that. But at the end of the day nand write fail means hardware failure.

However, I still have the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" at boot I removed the phone when I saw the message Removed in Odin. I am not sure whether it didn't let the process finish well or I did right. Any ideas or suggestions ?
I succeeded to reinstall the latest firmware and I got back the samsung logo at boot. However It still doesn't go any further and no recovery mode ... Is there a way to check the status of the system ?
Omg its alive!! Odin said pass! Just keep flashing that firmware till you get recovery and then factory reset.
Try the rescue firmware in general thread, follow the instructions exactly.

Hello
An update of my case. After struggling 2 days with NAND write fail and trying lots of firmwares... I succeeded to install CMW recovery tool. From that, I installed Cyanogenmod 10.0.2. I struggled to make it boot too as it looped on cyanogen logo many times.
Now I must confess that I am afraid of rebooting the phone as I thought it was dead
Hope it helps someone else :highfive:
Great feed back for others. and go's to show never give up flashing with Odin. Odin is a pain in the ....
Congrats

PIT related error bothers me .......
@aneeqkhan I know this thread is a bit dated now, but nobody has replied to you question either? I am trying to recover my friends Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925I, his bricked after a failed standard OTA update. Flashing stock firmware worked for about 1 week then the whole thing crashed and is un-bootable. Attempting to flash the exact same firmware again in hopes that I could boot into recovery (recovery by button combination DOES NOT WORK!) so was hoping to just boot and factory reset (I was thinking that maybe a data corruption was the cause we didn't wipe his phone because he didn't back it up)...upon putting the device into download mode and flashing the exact same firmware package that worked the week before I get the same error that you are getting? Not only that but none of the claimed fixes online for these devices has worked!?
Note: This is a 100% stock device never had anything flashed to it before I got it and still hasn't had anything custom flashed to it either
I am more interested now if you managed to recover your S6 and if so how did you do it?
Hey everyone.
I'm having trouble with the CF auto root on my wife's Samsung C5 Pro. I've read every post that I could find, watched every youtube video that I found relevant and still no success. Hopefully someone can help me here.
The reason I want the phone rooted is that the damn thing doesn't work on the American T-Mobile LTE bands and I found multiple threads on how to enable virtually any Band --> once the phone is rooted. So at step 1: fail!
I started by enabling developer mode, OEM unlock, USB debugging and installation of apps from unknown sources. I downloaded the latest CROM service (1.0.6), installed it and got the message that the bootloader is now unlocked and I can install custom OS. Great so far. I also made sure FRP is unlocked.
I then went to firmware.mobi and downloaded the Boot Image (.TAR.MD5), Recovery Image (.TAR.MD5) and the CF-Auto-Root for my phone. In my case Build MMB29M.C5010ZHU1AQG5.
Shutdown the phone and booted in download mode.
Phone says:
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)

Then I started Odin v3.12.03, selected the image.tar.md5 in "AP" and clicked start. After about 5 seconds: FAIL. Phone screen says:

Odin3 says:

After that, the phone would not boot anymore.
Going back into download mode after shutdown, I was able to upload the Boot Image and Recovery image I downloaded from firmware.mobi and the phone works fine. I also downloaded the complete stock rom and I can upload that with Odin as well.
I also tried CROM service 1.0.4, Odin 3.10, different CF-auto-root settings, factory reset, cache wipe, etc. , all with the same result. Everytime I try to upload THAT with Odin it fails, stock firmware works.
Can anybody help me getting this phone unlocked? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

I have this phone, and everytime I flash something I fill up all Slots in BL, AP, CSC, CP. I tried to flash just the AP one time and same thing happened. Maybe try flashing all three from stock but the AP from the package you are trying to install.
Always get stock firmwares from SAMMOBILE only.
I'm copy-pasting my own post from Reddit, because it seems that i already wrote everything i could to describe my problem:
Code:

I tried almost everything. I can't get PDA/CSC numbers out of the phone because it's bricked, and i can't access android on it.
I tried to flash with those softs:
G925FXXU4DPH9_G925FPRT4DPH9_PRT
G925FXXU5EQF1_G925FPRT5EQDR_PRT
G925FXXU6ERD1_G925FPRT6ERC1_PRT

AP_G925FXXU6ERG1_CL13830439_QB18898846_REV02_user_low_ship_meta
Odin versions i have tried:
Odin3_v1.85
Odin3_v3.09
Odin3_v3.10.6
Odin3_v3.10.7
Odin3_v3.11.1
Odin3_v3.12.7
Odin3_v3.13.1
But no luck.
I tried extracting BOOT.IMG file out of those packages and using /tar-Tool/ from XDA Developers to pack it up again. Next, i have put Boot.tar.md5 into AP section of Odin, booted my phone to download mode (held volume down, home and power button until selection screen of restarting or continuing came out, then i've hit volume up). I pressed start button on Odin and it doesn't even try to flash Boot.img file. Other files like sboot.bin are flashable. I am powerless.
Another thing i tried was to use Smart Switch. Any version of it - both old and new ones. But it just says that it's incompatible with my device. I mean, what the hell, the phone ITSELF asks to be emergency recovered using Smart Switch and Smart Switch points middle finger at me saying it's incompatible with SM-G925F...
Download mode top-left corner text:
Code:

CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
Secure Download : Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0 (0x0000)
RP SWREW: B:6 K:2 S:2
I can't take the phone to the boot menu anymore btw.
-----------------
Edit #1:
I have tried unpacking boot.img and repacking it with cygwin and tar-tool for odin. No luck. It's not even going to try to flash the file anymore. I'm getting "FAIL! (DeviceInfo)" at Odin.
I hope i won't be forced to play Chopin's funeral march...
-----------------
Edit #2:
Never use Dr.Fone, it's a scam. Good thing that i think with my wallet.
I am now trying to get latest 4 file software using SamFirm, will try to flash with PIT file from CSC
Result:
Code:

Whole operation took approx 8 seconds from START to FAIL.
-----------------
Edit #3:
I noticed i no longer need to go to Odin download mode in my phone. It's opened by default. It even shows a damn progress bar which gets stuck at approx 40%...
-----------------
Edit #4:
Something's flashing! Not what i want tho, but it seems like CSC and CP are flashing. Problem is that BL and AP doesn't want to flash.

Nothing's flashed. that modem.bin file was sent but suddenly it timed out? I have no idea what just happened.
CSC (starting with cache.img) also fails, but it doesn't even completes sending.

Edit: #5
Samsung support gave me a hint that CSC is Polish PLAY (PRT). It's something.png
I am trying to use Android ToolKit and repacking files separately into flashable .tar files. No luck yet.
Zerolte TWRP still not flashing. Odin 3.10.6.

Try flash the latest BTU firmware. If that fails, try with PIT file.

i have this problem
Hello everyone I have the similar problem
I have solved this problem by trying to sacrifice my time downloading the LATEST firmware from sammobile. this is very necessary because MAYBE you accidentally updated your bootloader to an invalid version.
after downloading the LATEST version of the firmware Open the package and extract all EXCEPT hidden.img
when extracting is complete Add all extracted files EXCEPT hidden.img as (WHATEVERNAMEYOUWANT).tar using 7zip
this should be done and last step is flash the .tar file you have archived in ODIN 3.13.1 as AP
Hope this helps
This is the firmware I have used
G925FXXU6ERF5_G925FAMO6ERF1_AMO
The 6 ERF5 represents the binary every firmware has binaries whatever you have in your phone in download mode it appears how much binary u have
