Hi All
I am a nood (as you may of gathered)
The other day I downloaded JELLYBLASTV3.0.3_Ported_For_S5830I.
It seemed to work fine expect I can not receive or make calls, no text and no data.
WIFI and bluetooth work fine.
I checked on this site for the answers.
I used galaxy toolbox to check my IMEI. I don't have one. I modified backup file using hex editor, restored the efs but still no good.
I tried to get the original firmware by using checkFUS. It shows me the firmware I should have but it can't retrieve it (see attached screen capture).
I have tried the unbrick tutorial in the FAQ section but without the proper firmware I can't seem to get it to work.
ODIN4.42 does not see my phone. All other versions do. Device drivers are OK.
I know I must be doing something wrong.
Can someone please give me a slap and show me what to do.
Many thanks (in advance)

Don't know why your PC won't recognize the device, the triangle means that you'r running a non samsung signed kernel! Flash back your stock kernel (look in dev section how), then the triangle will be gone (you won't loose root)!

but where can i find the stock kernel and what about the recognition on pc why its not recognised...??
as I said, search for the stock kernel in the development section there is a post with all the kernels, should not be too hard to find
regarding the connection issue:
reboot your pc, reboot your device, check the usb connection type in the gs2 taskbar (you have to activate usb mass storage each time you want it), if all fails: go into win device manager and reinstall the driver(s)!

Hi all,
It's my 1st post in XDA-developers & I would really appreciate your help. I have the following Samsung Galaxy SII:
PDA: I9100JPKG3
Phone: I9100XXKG1
CSC: Unknown
Kernel version:
2.6.35.7-I9100JPKG3-CL388633
[email protected] #2
I have fully read the thread originally put by Intratech in the developers section but I couldn't post there since I'm still a new member! Can you please help me answering these Q's:
1. I couldn't find the firmware JPKG3 neither on the official firmwares section nor on the Frankenstein one! Does this mean, I'm running an unofficial firmware?
2. The CSC is unknown, I read a post also by Intratech providing the CSC file: "csc_xsg_i9100ojpkg1" & using Odin to flash my SGSII. I obtained the file, so is it possible to flash it to my device? And if I flash it, will I solve such an issue? Do I need to backup my data? Will the data be wiped out?
3. The kernel version of my device is weird? Is it a rooted device although I bought it from an original reseller of Samsung in my country?
4. In the thread of Intratech, I found a newer version JPKG5 for XSG (UAE). Is it possible to flash it to my device, will it solve the CSC & Kernel issues, while updating the firmware as well?
5. Finally, based on the steps posted by Intratech, will the firmware update wipe out my device data? Can you please confirm?
Thank you so much & waiting for your help.
Any help pleasssssssssssssssssse?
Hi All
I wanted to root my phone and flashed XWKDD_insecure to my phone using Odin. After that my phone restarted and now all I see is the Samsung Galaxy S II startup screen with a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark at the bottom.
My phone won't start now
My phone came with the following firmware:
PDA: I9100GJPKH8
CSC: I9100GOJPKG7
Can anyone please help me in restoring my phone?
I'll be really, really grateful.
Thanks,
juzer
I'm not sure of this but I9100G is different from I9100 so XWKDD won't work on i9100g
If i am right you must download a proper firmware for your phone and reflash through odin

You must registrer on samMobile.com and search for Firmwares -> Smartphone ->Android-> GT I9100G-> Middle East and download a firmware for your nations.
Then go in download mode and flash it through odin

What model number are the phones I9300 / I9305?
they are i9300t
I managed to root both of them. I know have a major problem. 1 of them had a problem with wifi. It couldnt connect. I read about a solution by copying the wifi folder from version 4.1.1. Tried that. It worked for once but after reboot it stopped. And now I can't even turn on the wifi. It gets stuck on Turning on... Do i have to reflash the rom again and if so how will i do that? It was stock rom on stock kernel. Only rooted. gt i9300t moder and build DUELL2.
Also can i flash a rom with different build over that? For example XXEMC2 that i have on my Greek galaxy s3?
I9300T rooting is the same as I9300 rooting, follow the guides of CF-Root 6.4 or CF-Autoroot. (I got a T model myself)
You can flash any I9300 rom also on the T model, therefore root is not 100% necessary. Full wipes are recommended for flashing different versions though.

just saw it .
For wifi, try a stock ROM (flash it new incl. wipes etc.), or try a different kernel, whereas the stock kernel should always work.

you can find (unrooted) stock roms for instance on sammobile.com or (rooted) stock roms here on XDA in the General section.
Easiest way to flash them is via Mobile Odin (gives you the option to keep root) or Odin (you will loose root but you can flash CF afterwards manually).
And yes you can flash any build that is made for the I9300/I9300T.
The only difference between both models is the frequency of the baseband (the T model is more optimized for 850mhz) whereas you even can use modems of the I9300 on the I9300T.

There is a difference between the ROM's firmware (basically your OS, e.g. XXEMC2) and the modem (basically the part which gives you the connection to the next mobile tower and is managing the frequencies, e.g. DUELL2).
It does not matter that much what ROM firmware you use as they are nearly identical in each country (here and there dif. apps due to providers) but more that you use a modem that delivers in the country you are in. Hence, I would first try the modems of your region (you can find a list of all modems in the General section's modem collection).
Regarding the risk of bricking: there is always a risk, no one can guarantee you anything , whereas if you follow the guides you should be fine.

Ok. So the CSC numbers that are different on lets say the DUELL2 and the XXEMC2 are not something to bother me right? I just download the XXEMC2 rom and flash it on the DUELL2 S3 and then I just will root it. right? Will the phone become i9300 after that procedure? or stay i9300t? The firmware code (XXEMC2) should not be of concern.
The modem code (DUELL2) should be of concern IF you experience bad performance in the region you are. If so, flash a different modem and try it.
The phone will be an I9300T whereas in the menus it might tell you I9300, anyway there is no difference in the files to use.
For rooting, follow the guide, you can use CF-Root 6.4 (if you want a custom recovery) or CF-Autoroot (if you want to use stock recovery).

Hello all,
I have a Galaxy S2 which I am going to give to my mother as I have upgraded to a Galaxy S4. I have flashed the latest 4.1.2 stock ROM (XWLSS) as I couldn't find a stock UK 4.1.2 ROM, which is a Swedish version. I want to change the CSC, so I downloaded the CSC changer from the play store, flashed siyah kernel for root access, but there is no UK CSC displayed. So I downloaded a CSC package from androidfirmwares.net (CSC_I9100XEULP5.tar.md5) and flashed it through Odin. Odin displays a success and the phone reboots into recovery, and an error message is displayed stating “E:Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip (status 7) Installation aborted.” Does the status 7 error mean I need root access as I restored the phone to full stock after the failure with the CSC changer? Any answers much appreciated, I know I'm probably doing something silly.

Can someone help me out as I am new to all of this...
I am using a Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 (p2610), and I flashed a jelly bean update successfully using odin. I am not rooted.
I have a system update in the notifications window that is stuck there, that is not working (process fails), this is due to the csc code being in great britain.
I am in Canada, I have Odin ready to go, can someone please show me how to change the CSC of my device to Canada?
Where do I go to download the appropriate file? After I assume I load it up in Odin with device in recovery mode, and flash using the "CSC" option in Odin correct?
Any help would be great.
You're in the wrong forum. This is Galaxy S2/I9100.
