Does it come after the Samsung Galaxy SII splash screen?

I don't have stock Galaxy S2 splash screen at all. Let say this "DOC" coming instead of it.

I found a way to change logo in simple way just using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hellcat.droiddev.sgs2bootlogo&hl=en (SGS2 BootScreen Changer) I chosen custom image and it overwrote "DOC".

Yes,that's exactly what even i wanted to suggest. But, if the s2 splash screen also showed up,along with DOC, it's like the one that comes up with dorimanx kernel, this app wouldn't solve the problem.

I got Omega v24 JB 4.1.21 it comes with stock kernel AOKP modded, so no extra banners coming up. I put stock S2 image as banner that's what i wanted. Thanks, vish91 for attention to my thread.

please help, bought and broke galaxy tablet today :'(

okay, so I bought a basically brand new galaxy tablet 10.1 today, and rooted it using this method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185
no problems whatsoever, re-booted and everything seemed fine. I then tried to install BigDX Xoom|Zoom Theme and the **** hit the fan...
it would load my lock screen, but instead of a lock it had a TINY picture of a little grey lock inside of a grey square, if i tapped it and then tried to slide it "it wouldn't just slide" I would get an error message and then the tablet would freeze and restart. if I didn't touch the lock it would just keep restarting about every 45 seconds. I went back into ClockworkMod Recovery and did the factory reset "maybe a mistake?" it asks me to select my region but then gives me an error message and keeps restarting. can I just restore original firmware through odin or something like that? I'm not much of a hacker, just occasional customization stuff.
please help me... I never even got to use my tablet, this was the very first thing that I did

Did you make a backup before you flashed it?
You can also download a stock firmware from www.sammobile.com and flash through Odin if you didn't

I didn't really know about backing it up before I did it... ... so I guess next time I should root > backup using the same recovery clock screen "volume buttons"> and then as long as I don't completely brick it restore from that?
I'll try re-flashing through odin. what do you think happened? no one else seemed to have a problem with that theme, and I really like the way it looks.
also I'm kind of confused by that site... which firmware do I need?
What device do you own and where are you from? Need english based rom?

If you just bought it and don't care about your data, just odin back to stock. For instructions, here's a video link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYBs98R9rTs and here's a thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474971 look at the second half of the first post.

Custom Unlock Icon on Boot, what does it mean?

I have what I think is an unusual booting splash screen. It is the first thing to show up after turning on.
I also booted in to the Odin menu just to see the status and took a picture of that.
I just got my phone today and have done nothing other than install normal applications, I haven't tried to root or flash anything.
I watched a video of some other verizon SGS3 owner turning on their device and that unlocked lock icon and custom do not appear.
Anyone know what this means?

You will probably get a better response if you post this in Q&A. I don't know the answer to your question though. I am curious what they answer is.
it comes up once you've flashed something using odin
if you'll notice on the third image, next to "SYSTEM STATUS:" it says "Custom" this means something other than something official has been flashed to it
i'd really like to know how you did this
me too
Like I said, I haven't done anything. I have actually not even plugged it into my computer yet via usb cable.
Maybe it came rooted

Its not rooted
I suspected that and tried to just download superSU and it doesn't work, says phone isn't rooted.
Assuming you bought yours brand new from the store, I'd go back. But first I'd try removing the microsd card and booting up. Then try the SIM card, then boot up again. If its still the same, something is up with your device. It keeps booting up into download mode. :S
I don't think he was saying it boots into DL mode on its own, just that he went into DL mode to confirm he's not running anything custom, which it appears he is not.
Strange that it would show the custom boot image when you're running the official ROM. I don't know that that's a bad thing, or that it's worth returning the phone. Might be worth calling Verizon and talking to them about it. At the least you then have a record that your phone was doing that from the beginning, so if you have to return it later on after installing custom ROMs, you can say it was always like that

James is right; whatever you do, DO NOT return your device to the store. You might have the golden ticket in your palms.

I've hooked up to Odin 3.07.
The options for dumping are grayed out. I don't know if that's normal or if Odin is even how I should dump.
Of note, My ODIN MODE screen the top left corner of the phone.

Please please don't return to VZW. See if a dev can help you to get dump. You could be holding the key to save tens of thousands of us.
This is very interesting. Subscribing to thread!
Although yours isn't rooted and perhaps not unlocked, the devs can check out what's different in your device through a dump and it could assist them in achieving root and unlocking the bootloader. I don't really know a whole lot about developing, so maybe that's not possible

Boot time? (Abnormal)

Hi
I have seen many vidoes of S2 i9100 on youtube rooted/unrooted stock/custom roms and all of them mostly boot up completely within 20 to 25 seconds where as my device takes approximately 1.5 minutes to bootup, not with boot animation, even just the Splash Screen of Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 takes 50 seconds and then boot animation for 30 seconds.
So I finally decided to change from stock to custom ROM so currently I am running PFittech JB 4.1.3 which I really loves, super fast in everything and with good battery life but the boot time is same, Quadrant test is 3201 with complete test.
What could be wrong?

Yes I did that, no change... Actually I think the problem is not kernel related as soon as it shows Siyah Kernel logo + boot animation they both takes maximum of 25 seconds but the problem besides in the boot loader may be as the Splash Screen (The very first screen after turning on your device) Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 that takes about 55 seconds itself.....!!
The phone is rooted and it shows yellow exclamation mark on this very first Splash Screen that takes alot of time....

[Q] little orange light on boot

Hi guys ok so ive just rooted and put a new rom on my s3 but it keeps rebooting and rebooting after a couple of minutes
On the reboot on the galaxy s3 screen gt19300 screen i now notice theres a little orange like and ! , ???? does anyone know what that is and has it got something to do with the constant crashing?
Thanks
It means that you've flashed a custom ROM/kernel/recovery (via Odin, for example). You can get rid of it with TriangleAway if it bothers you, but it has nothing to do with your problem.
ah right put my mind at ease many thanks for your help i appreciate it

This is not true I don't believe. I flashed CF ROOT via Odin and I never got a Triangle at all and the OP did not mention there was a "triangle" at all either, he said there was a little "orange light" and the triangle is not orange anyways... Its yellow.
OP... DO you have a triangle on your screen with an exclamation mark in the center of it OR are you getting just an exclamation mark on the screen and an orange light from your LED? If that is the case then the device may be telling you there is something wrong with it and that could be the reason it continues to crash.
Please be clear about what is happening and lets see if we can help you. I HOPE it IS just the Triangle though for your sake.
Also... What carrier are you with and are you sure your device IS the I9300 version? Is it possible that you have a "carrier branded" device and have tried to flash an I9300 ROM onto it?

[Q] S2 Stuck on android screen while updating to JB

xx TO BE DELETED xx
DjGeNeSiS said:
Hello Friends,
It seems I have run into some trouble with my S2.
I have had the original stock ROM and then upgraded to ICS and rooted my phone. I didn't bother changing the insecure Kernel so my phone was still booting with the triangle.
A few hours ago, the phone automatically downloaded the JB kernel and asked for an update... "Sweet", I thought. I pressed the "install" button and waited patiently but my phone has run into an infinite loop.
When I turn it on, it displays the Samsung logo with the triangle, and immediately shows the green android with the progress bar, after 2 seconds the screen switches off and on with the same picture. The FREAKING green android with the progress bar.
I tried putting the phone on boot mode by pressing volume up and power button but with no success.
I have been searching ever since but the problems with infinite boot I have found are caused after a custom ROM update or rooting.
Can anyone advise on what should my next move be?
Thanks
xxGenesis
