I've been using an otg cable to move my nandroid backups off internal storage to a flash drive. I'm using the touchwork recovery. Recently I updated it to ver. 6.x.x. Since then, I keep getting errors when trying to copy or move my nandroids to the flash drive. I've also tried just connecting the DNA to my computer with the factory cable and get an "unspecified error, unable to copy". I can copy anything else, back and forth, just not my backups. Did TWM recovery change something in ver6? The backups restore just fine also

Hey guys recently I was on my computer and had my SD card mounted and I pressed unmount to pull it out and all was fine until a message came up saying SD card was damaged. I rebooted the phone and its still saying this. I know I didn't pull it out early. Now its asking to format card to fix it. When I press it nothing happens. I tried connecting it to my computer to format but it can't read the card. Luckily I had an adapter that'd let my card go in seperately from my phone but that wont work either. Please tell me what I can do??

if u able to boot into xrecovery and mount the usb storage, then i think u can accest into the sdcard via pc. then make a full copy to your pc.

It looks like I accidentally formatted my emmc memory and it cannot be seen by my computer. Does anyone know how to manually formatting it to make it functional again? I restored to a factory rom and back to aokp. I can see the memory and add files to it but music app cannot access internal drive. I get two drives in my computer but can only access SD card when I enable memory access. Any help on this will be awesome.

Ill try to be of some help. I'd try reflashing your rom from an external SD card. No guarantees as I've not run into this problem, but it's worth a try.

No luck. I can't use my emmc memory. 8 gig SD is still ok
Here is what I did to fix it...
1) Made a nandroid backup of my RevoHD 6 setup
2) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
3) Wipe Dalvik and Cahche
4) Format EMMC
I then restored from another nandroid backup that I had loaded and I can now open my EMMC from windows computer!
I flashed cwm in Odin and rooted with team epic root tool but when I try to flash a Rom in cwm my sd card doesn't show up when I enter choose zip from sd card. My internal phone does. Help!

Internal memory and sdcard
Also try remobting the SD card through cwm

yea, niether is mine, I was wondering if it had anything to do with the size, its a 32g? I had been planing on posting a question here soon to ask about it? I always have to use my phone as the only choice when looking in CWM?
I am having the same problem. My ext sd is not showing in cwm. My version is 5.5.0.4. The same thing when doing backups. Only internal.

Same thing here. Ext sd was working then I flashed the newest version through rom manager and now my external doesn't show up. The card it fine and worked prior. It also works in android

I saw this too. I had an external in and had to place it in both DCIM folders and it appeared in one or the other

I flashed 5.8.4.5 via ROM manager and everything is right as rain. Both internal and external show up now.
so i did s-off via unlimited.io/controlbear it worked first try and i installed the custom hboot, then reflashed anamra, now my internal sd isnt recognized in recovery, ideas?
Is it recognized while booted to the actual rom? And did you try to mount within amon?
Also, what type of wire did you use for the wire trick?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
i used a copper wire.. and it will usb mount in amon to my computer but when i try to flash from zip irt shows lost.dir with nothing in it.
Maybe you could try backing up the sd to your computer then formatting the sd and transferring back to the sd from pc

if i dont have an external sdcard and ive wiped my phone, is there a way for me to connect my phone to the computer to transfer files while im in recovery?
Its possible using adb push to /data/media
Make sure you dismount after copy or recovery wont see the file

Unfortunatly Galaxy S3 cant mount internal storage as usb. It is formatted in ext4. Adb is probably best option

No usb mount option in SGS3..connect adb..type adb push/pull /path of the target /path of destination.
Or if you are good at edify/busybox..create a updater script to flashed via CWM
