His point was you need to be more specific. A repair center where. You are in the UK, or at least your more info says you are. I am sure there are many, so where in the UK? If you go to samsung's site I would imagine they have a list of repair centers by region.
Okay. I'm based in the West Midlands area. I've been quoted about £40. Not 100% sure if he can do it.

IMEI changing is illegal in most countries and not allowed on XDA. If you can't use the usual backup/restore method then you'll have to sort it out for yourself.

No they will not cover it as in ur 1st post u stated you exchanged housing.
So for what ever reason housing was damaged or wrong color all was working fine untill the fast hands of oneself?
Gavin take appart aand refit this way your checking over all connections.
I did.. The new housing looks like original so doubt it they can see any difference

Any modifications carried out by non-Samsung authorised repair people (or anyone else for that matter) voids your warranty.
Basically you're asking a question only Samsung can answer. Soooo...You're going to have to roll the dice & send it in for warranty service & see what happens. Or have it repaired by someone other than Samsung.
Being a betting man, I'd say you'll be paying for the repairs either way.

They would have to be blind or dump not to see any difference since the original handsets have a label (battery space) with fone details on it....
But if you explain to them its better you pay Sammy to fix your fone then paying out for a brand new one...
That sticker is on the new one took it off the old one and put on the new.. Its a guinine cover

At the end of the day, you're not going to find the answer to your question by posting on here.
You're only going to find out by asking Samsung to fix your phone....Soooo....How bout you do exactly that & let us know how you go ?
Ok if they wont repair il by a new screen on ebay for 120e and do it

Of course you realize the CID app is part of a $2.99/month paid service from T-Mobile USA and can't do anything without that service up and active. Just having the app does nothing.
I can change settings with it lol. After someone calls dialog pops up I want to take it off. Now that I have the app I can do that lol

Hi community was wondering of anyone knows where I can find an app I can use the back up my EFS folder.
I'm on stock Rom with root and Busy box installed.
Thanks

I don't think anyone has found a way yet. Alot of people have lost it while flashing.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Doesn't exist yet, but many smart developers are looking into it. You can search and find a number of threads open on the subject.
Actually I lied: the efs folder you can backup, but it doesn't appear to contain the imei, assuming that's what you are actually asking for.

So there was a rattling sound coming out the top of my phone and without thinking trough I fastened the top three screws of the phone. I didn't take any sticker off to get to a screw or anything, I just tightened them up a little bit.
This shouldn't affect my warranty I hope?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
One would think not as unless a technician could not undo the screws who is to know .

If you haven't marked the screws you should be ok, if they rumble you just explain you were trying to cure the rattle and smile sweetly!

What do you mean with marked? Like a visual scratch or something like that? I guess you can see if you look very closely that it isn't as new as it was.. but the bottom 5 screws are as new as can be so I couldn't even have opened it.
I'm just a little paranoid about keeping my warranty in tact

I've just read some of your posts and tbh you can't be that worried about protecting your warranty if your flashing CSC's with Odin, because modifying or flashing in any way, voids your warranty....

Course it voids your warranty....! And strictly speaking....we're not actually meant to have access to Odin! Its only because it was made available from a certain person (dunno who) that we have access to it. using Odin voids your warranty buddy end of! Check your warranty info on the leaflet that came inside the box. Read section 5 then on the opposite page under fire, improper ventilation etc....

They won't be able to tell you used odin if you're flashing an officially released rom.
It'd be different if he odin'ed a modem with a newer build number than his rom or something like that, but flashing official roms is ok.
Example, ever heard of an RUU? Those are used to flash official firmware OTW all the time.

After e-mailing, chatting and calling with Samsung I still have no answer. The only answer I could get is that the people working at the repair centre would have to see the device and then decide wether my warranty is still in tact. Even though I said I didn't open the phone etc etc.

Hi. .mega's are hard to unlock as I had a i527m mega (Canadian version) and I could not unlock ir myself and I tried different ways with no success. .so I ended up paying a company $29 and they sent me the unlock number within 10 minutes and the number they gave me worked good as they go right to Samsung to get it.
So you might have to do this also.
