I have the Verizon S4 rooted and running Jellybean build 5. When I'm on a call and need to turn volume down or up, the volume key won't work unless I pull the phone away from face and let the screen light up. Any ideas? I think it could be a bug in the jelly bean rom.
It is a bug in the ROM.
BTW... Questions should be posted in the questions forum.

Yes...... I do realize that now after the question was moved here. Anyway I kind of thought it was a bug. Now I wonder if the dev will see this post so it can be corrected. Since I'm new, I don't have privileges to post it to their page. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Title says it. Looked thoroughly and couldn't find the setting to turn it off. I've asked in the nightly thread as well.
Bump- anybody?
Was trying to find that out myself awhile ago with the s2. No answers for me either. I assume there isn't a way.

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus
"answer questions, give thanks, support the community"
Yes there is solution.
Download fluxy kernel ang fluxy app then sound and vibration then -6.
Or quiet time 9:00 am to 8:58 am.
Or your going to edit some system lines to turn it of.
Pick one.

Let me start off by saying I love this ROM. The problem is, I am hooked on tablet mode. I tried changing under the ROM controls to 213 (tablet mode) and everything works great minus the system Ui closing. So there is no status bar, and power button features dissapear.
I tried searching on Google and these forms. Its probably a simple answer that I overlooked. Thanks for any help

Bigfau wants you to post your questions in the Blackstar thread. I promise you will get more attention there.

That's the way it has always been that I can remembered..etc
isn't funny how "some" of the threads in that DEV forum is now a NO-NO place for Q&A ?? even to a point of the thread(s) get closed ...
Haha I thought it was weird that there was no q an a for thus ROM. I didn't want to get yelled at. Thanks for the tip .

I will post your question there, just monitor bigfau thread for your answer, I know the answer but it is better for bigfau to provide the answer to ensure you get the correct answer.
Thanks Joe. Just post in the thread. We all help one another there with no fighting or b*thing

Maybe there should be a new section just for ROM Q&A's

I knew the Advanced Power menu didn't work below 213. I never modded it for tablet mode. The tablet mode that was in VI is not in VII.That's more than likely why your status bar disappears. Im still working out new toggles with tablet mode.

Is anyone actively working on Miui for our phone? If not it would be greatly appreciated.

Actively? Probably not. If you scrolled down the page and looked before you asked a question in Development instead of the Q&A forum, you'd see this thread on the first page of this forum, which is the only attempt so far to port MIUI.

Ha. Sence. Gotta love that.
Anyway, I was trying to be subtle about it. Might have come off as abrasive, though.
And if it's not being worked on now, then 'not actively' is correct. And I did say probably. When the mentioned ROM is done and you start back on MIUI, then it will be actively worked on.

No currently miui is not being worked on, but that's is far as I know because I don't talk to " litemaker " he is the one who started it. But a member of my dev team is working on a PAC-MAN Rom for this phone. And as soon as that's complete me and him will be bringing miui to this phone, because personally I want miui.

I saw this thread in one of the forums and could relate to most of them.. so just post and complete this sentence "You know you're rooted when.."..
had a hearty laugh at some ones.. so thought I should share em with you guys..
Examples:
wscott9903: You know you're rooted when 1/2 of your apps require superuser permission.
feralicious: You know you're rooted when your spouse tells you they're leaving you and taking the kids and you think "perfect timing, (insert dev name here) just released a new ICS ROM".
jayochs: you know you're rooted when your phones buggy as hell lol
putney1477: You know you're rooted when, you husband, wife, significant other gets a new phone and says, don't you dare come near this phone, it works fine!
jackpot08: You know your rooted when when spend more time flashing roms than using your phone..
Add more if you have some good ones. .
Hit the thanks button if you all like it..

You know you're rooted when someone asks you to take a picture, and laugh because the camera isn't working in this nightly.
You know your rooted when your favorite dev hasn't released an update recently and your having flash withdrawl symptoms.

This doesn't really relate to our device. More so a general root thread. Which I think may fit more appropriately in the general forum (not our general forum, the main one not phone specific).

Dev's,
I just wanted to make a post saying that yes, there are people here interested in ROM's, and YES we do appreciate your work.
I am patiently waiting for a working CM10 or 4.4 AOSP, and don't really mind the time it takes to build as long as its solid.
i will test where i can

I just looked but I'm on the app so I must have missed it. I'll check the browser site for the page mentioned. But I did find carbon 4.3 sprint test... Didn't know that existed!

Me too
Houstonn is kicking ass, but the information is terribly difficult to find
http://downloads.codefi.re/houstonn/me/test
that SHOULD be the 4.4 AOSP build for sprint. i have not yet tested. one in the thread did, and said everything worked.
good luck guys, and go post in the thread if you see bugs, because i dont know if there will ever be a dedicated thread in this forum for it..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502789
dont be stupid and not read the thread some before installing, looks like full wipe and twrp/cwm (maybe one or the other) will be required
Running pretty smooth here. Data works great, SMS, MMS, WiFi... I don't have any complaints.

Is anyone noticing any screen rotation problems? After reading the closed cm10.2 thread I'm a little weary to flash anything.

i apologize for the poor choice of forum posting.
delete this if you see fit. this forum is barely moving and is basically our (sprint G2) only dedicated home. I wasn't sure where else to post

Well a couple of reasons for that. The G2 for Sprint came out almost a month after the other G2 variants. Also, CDMA phones have always been the step child of Android Development.
Rest assure there is development for this phone. I have personally tested a few 4.3.x and 4.4 roms. The devs don't want to release half ass stuff. When the threads start here, they will be close to perfect.
Patience grasshopper.

its actually nice to hear that someone is working on it.
I had a Gnex and the development was explosive compared to the G2 (not surprisingly), but as I'm sure you can see in this forum, it looks pretty empty.
Without a doubt i am grateful for every dev who is working on Roms for our phone, but without any forum movement, it looks pretty stagnant. Your response is nice to see, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who is happy to hear that there is someone somewhere trying to help the bastard stepchild of the G2 world out
